One Eclipse Merc was blown of the catwalk with a shotgun, while the other took multiple bullet wounds and was bured by a flamethrower. A couple more grenades came crashing down on the ground floor, blowing up and killing a couple of the stunned mercs...

At that point, an Incineration packet, launched by the Engineer, crashed into one of the merchants, enveloping him in a lethal fire that refused to die. As the fresh wave of Eclipse moved up with the Engineer, they opened fire, cutting down the burning merchant and sending a wave of bullets crashing into the men behind him...

Soon, most of the rifles were turned towards the Eclipse engineer, the merchants quick to work with mowing him down as the dead flaming man fell from the catwalk, crushing a couple of downed mercs. Dylan tossed an incendiary grenade at the fresh group of mercenaries, burning some of them alive and engulfing others in the explosion as it hit them...

The Engineer's shields took some damage, but she managed to take over behind the stairs before they were depleted. As the remaining Eclipse mercs continued to press, the Engineer tapped a couple keys on her omni-tool. A holographic-looking, red, spherical Combat Drone appeared amongst the merchants and zapped the nearest one with a lethal energy beam, before floating away, firing at regular intervals on the merchants from behind their position...

Some merchants turned to shoot down the combat drone, while the rest pushed forward and tore through the Eclipse Mercs' ranks with their weapons. One attacked the engineer with his flamethrower, burning the Eclipse unit merclessly

The merchants didn't even make it halfway down the ramp before the Eclipse mercs launched a volley of flashbangs at them, stunning them briefly and allowing the Troopers to fire on them unmolested, stalling the charge. The Engineer backed away from the merchants, taking cover behind a crate and taking potshots at the merchants with her Carnifex pistol. A single round hit one man in the head, taking him down instantly. The Combat Drone didn't last very long, swiftly disintegrating...

The few that weren't stunned continued the charge, blasting some of the mercs away as they pushed forward. One tossed a grenade at the engineer's cover, the explosive landing near her and detonating...

The explosion was mostly absorbed by the heavy crate, and the Engineer popped out of cover right after the explosion, putting several heavy rounds in the overzealous merchant's chest...

As the merchant fell, another quickly threw a sticky grenade, the explosie hitting the Eclipse Merc and preparing to explode...

The Engineer had time to curse before the grenade exploded, killing her instantly. However, the remaining Troopers continued to fire on the distracted merchants standing near them, cutting them down swiftly while they were focusing on the Engineer...

The mercenaries finally had time to turn and fire onto the Eclipse Mercs, the fire power from each merchant causing some harmful damage to the enemy units...

Soon enough, the room was littered with the bodies of Eclipse mercs and Dylan's men alike. Geero, however, was still hiding in the side room...

"Ok, I want some of you to check out any other rooms around here, the rest of you, check your weapons and ammo," Dylan said as a few of the merchants leapt down onto the ground floor. The rest began reloading their guns, knowing they chewed up a lot of their ammo in the fight just before.

In another section of the galaxy, the early mechant ship used by G.E.A forces flew through G.C.M territory, the cloaked vehicle soon picking up the faint "signal" from the Eclipse Mercs, and the soldiers sent their vehicle into hyper-space shortly after decloaking...

As one of the merchants neared the door, it opened, revealing a small room on the other side. On the right wall was a table on which laid a dead human, his blood spattered over the wall. On the left side was a console and a jumble of crates next to it...

Jessica chokes. "Ugh..... how terrible......"

"Not as terrible as how you're going to end up..." From the corner behind Jessica pounced Geero, who grabbed Jessica and dragged her further into the room, one arm around her neck while the other held his Tempest to her head. "Alright, nobody move!"

One merchant turns to aim his rifle at Geero, trying to find somewhere where he could hit the Eclipse Merc. Dylan pulled out his pistols and aimed at Geero from an angle, along with a few other mercenaries...

Jessica chokes again, dropping her rifle from surprise.

"Gah- ermmm..... don't just stand there! Shoot this b*stard!"

Geero slid to the opposite side of the console, still pointing his weapon at Jessica's head. "One false move, and her head's swiss cheese!" he snarled, though he sounded more frantic then angry. His large, amphibian-like eyes flicked over to the dead body, then towards the console. On the screen was a short list of messages:

Interrogator: Cpl. Geero
Subject: Cerberus Agent Tyrone Rawlings

Eclipse targeted Agent Rawlings some time ago. We know Rawlings is connected to the encrypted data we acquired. The data could conclusively prove Cerberus' involvement in experiments on human children. We believe Rawlings possesses a a cipher that can be used to decrypt the data. Without his cipher, the data could take years for Eclipse to decode.

Report #2 (Subject Captured):

Interrogator: Cpl. Geero
Subject: Cerberus Agent Tyrone Rawlings

Agent Rawlings proved difficult to capture. Having insinuated himself on a ship bound for the Attican Traverse, he had won over the loyalty of the ship's crew who believed him to be a human dignitary on a mission of discovery. Our own agents managed to disable the ship and hobble its defenses long enough to extract Agent Rawlings.

We lost a lot of men to obtain this asset. This data had better be worth the expense.

Subject: Cerberus Agent Tyrone Rawlings

The interrogation has failed. Despite some of our most advanced interrogation techniques, Agent Rawligns managed to evade our questions. When we applied more invasive methods, he proved resistant to those as well. Eventually Agent Rawlings' resistance caused tempers to flare. We consider it unfortunate that Agent Rawlings did not live to pass on the cipher.

We have men working to decipher the encryption now. As long as we control this data, its mere existence remains a powerful tool against Cerberus.

Geero cursed, obviously meaning to delete the files. "You guys are Cerberus, aren't you? Come to get revenge?! Well, I'd like to see you try!"
