"My wage is roughly 23 pieces of silver an hour. Not a whole lot, but it's more than enough for me to get around with." The man said, starting to feel slightly more secure now.

"23 silvers is a small fortune" growled the Dragon as his eyes shimmered blue, a metallic rattling sound being heard in one of his travelling satchels, a stack of 7 silver coins floating out of it and landing in his clawed hand, before being set down on the table. "any more than that and it's not worth buying" hissed the Dragon, irritated that the human was trying to take advantage of his inexperience with Germanian trade, thinking him a fool whose wealth could be stolen so easily. 23 coppers an hour, he'd understand. a price like 15 coppers, he'd understand. but 30 silvers for a dead hog? that was 300 coppers. outrageous...

'Hmmm... Normally, I'd charge full price for a Hog like this, but in your case, I'll accept the money." The shrewd man chuckled, before taking the two silver coins. To him, 23 pieces of silver wasn't exactly a whole lot. Some of the really wealthy men he knew were paid well over 20 GOLDEN coins an hour, and that was truly something to behold. For him, 23 pieces of silver an hour was neither too much, or too little... it was just right for him...

Several guards in the market place kept their eyes on the dragon, until one of them noticed something odd ontop of one of the rooftops. the guard in particular narrowed his eyes, before spotting a second dragon (Uriel) ontop of the roof. He hoisted up his crossbow, those guards around him began to get nervious as they also reached for their own. They would have to wait an dsee if this second dragon was friendly or not before firing upon it...

Uriel continues to move, not realizing he has been spotted, keeping himself low while sticking to the shadows, making him hard to see. Now on the edge of the market, the dragon looks over the edge of the structure, searching for the source of the scents...

"Normal or not, charging 30 silvers for a dead pig is theft. anywhere else in Aster you'd be thrown in prison, or even have your hands separated from the rest of your body. you can thank leniency here for your continued operation. It'd also probably be wise to be thankful i hold a degree of respect for your king...or i would likely have refused to give you a single copper after such outrageous overpricing" snarled the Dragon as he eyed the man, his head lifted up to full height, his normally whitish blue bioluminescent patterns turning gold, though becoming dull...a sign of restrained anger. it wasn't a particularly powerful feeling as of yet...but it was obvious the Dragon was not pleased...

"S-S-Sorry for the overpricing... normally, a pig like that would cost only 30 copper coins, but r-r-recently, we've been hit hard with lack of R-r-resources... So everything's a little overpriced right now... even the W-w-wages..." the man cringed, back to being absolutely terrified. THose people in the marketplace backed up a further step, not wanting to get hurt or anything. The guards, however, had their attention locked onto the dragon sneaking around on the rooftops....

"Even with resource problems, trying to charge ten times the normal price is theft. especially for travellers who have little wealth to call their own" rumbled the Dragon as he hooked a claw on the boar. he had had enough of this man and his excuses. spreading his wings upwards to give him access to the travelling satchels, he pulled one of the straps loose, causing the left satchel to sling downwards so it was by his feet, the Dragon rearing up with the kill and placing it in a large section of the satchel that seemed lined with a strange silvery material....enchanted cloth weave he had had sewn into the satchels' interior when he bought it, to isolate and seperate various objects from eachother, amongst the more common of which being fish and meat from his books. once he placed the boar in the satchel he closed it and returned to all fours, pulling the strap again and notching one of the holes like a belt, strapping it back into position as the Dragon turned from the stall, leaving the man to continue dealing with whoever was around him. normally he would've given the man another silver coin to be fair and to give him what was owed. but the lying and excuses had irritated him enough that he felt the man didn't deserve even that courtesy. Septimus continued to look around at the stalls, looking for something that might strike his interest...

The man at the stall gritted his teeth in anger and rage. He had tried to con the dragon into giving him more than the boar was really worth, even playing the old 'low resources' card his father had taught him. He was a shrewd marketer, and everyone knew it, so people turned their attention away from the scene and began to resume their normal activities. "So close... How dare he make a fool out of me..." the man muttered to himself silently. He had almost suceeded, but he had placed the price too high... Damnit!

4 stalls down from the man's, was a large, green-colored stall, run by a young lady in her early twenties. This girl had many old navigational trinkets and foerign ogjects collected from all across Aster, from Stegodon teeth to compasses to Sextants. She even had a large firework near the front of the stall...

Watching as most of the civilians remained distracted with something else in the market, Uriel lept off the rooftop, shooting across the market toward the stall said distraction just left, grabbing a fish before colliding with the stall, knocking the cloth canopy off the rest as he banked back up, flapping his powerful wings, rapidly ascending with his catch after throwing the torn cloth away...

People began to scream and run out of the marketplace the second the dragon appeared. To them, this was simply too much, and a thiefing dragon was a dangerous one. The guards, however, were ready. THey opened fire on the flying beast, their crossbows sailed through the air, cutting through it like butter as they hit their mark, digging into the beast's flesh with ease. The guards began to reload their crossbows to fire once more, while one guard on horseback rode out of the marketplace, to tell the king of this thiefery...

The man in the stall shouted in fear as the cloth covered him. That was, until his eyes widened with realization . This was just what he needed to get payback on that first dragon...

Roaring in pain, Uriel continued to accelerate, soon reaching a height that made it impossible to hit, disappearing back into the night sky. Most of the bolts struck his backside and legs, and entered very awkwardly because of the speed he was moving...nothing serious...yet...

Septimus growled in irritation as the place was thrown into chaos. his business was stalled, and his other shopping endeavours would have to be postponed. with a snarl the Dragon leapt into the air, flying away from the market...

When the two unicorns were done eating their fill, they continued on their little journey, trotting quietly along the wild path set before them. Revion smirked for a minute, before picking up his pace to a canter, and then a full fledged gallop. "Come on, Serenity, have a little fun," he whinnied as he galloped away, enjoying the breeze through his body.

Serenity watched as Revion burst into a gallop. She snorted, but eventually joined in, slowly easing her way toward the galloping pace. "We're just going to tire out faster," she whinnied back in reply, shaking her head at the childishness of the black stallion sometimes. In some ways, he still acted like a colt!

"Damnit..." the guards cursed as they lowerd their weapons. a few inexperienced fools fired off their crossbows again, but their arrows failed to reach the retreting thief. One of the guards, who was also near Trajan when the 1st dragon talked to him, looked up to see the flying figure of the wisdom-seeking dragon. "HEY! YOU WITH THE BAG! CAN YOU PLEASE COME DOWN HERE FOR A MINUTE OR TWO?!" The guard yelled angrily at Septimus, though trying not to sound too harsh. The last thing he wanted was to be on the recieving end of a dragon's fury, but the timing of this theft and this dragon's appearance in the marketplace were jsut too suspicious to be mere coincidence...

By this time, Dione, Trajan, and several servants were busy enjoying a nice lunch prepared in the food hall. On the table, there was buttered toast, Ham, Green Peas, Spaggeti, and, Dione's favorite food, stuffing. The new Pope quietl ate her food, her thoughts mainly focused on both her father's pet, the Orochi, and on Septimus...

hearing the guard call, the Dragon suddenly folded one wing, beating th other and sending him into a dive, adjusting himself with his tail and spreading his wings at the last minute, hitting the ground with a thump, the Dragon standing right in front of the guard as he straightened, folding his wings. "You wish to speak to me?" growled the dragon, his patterns by now having reverted to their normal bluish white tint...

"Yes, I wish tospeak with you right now." THe guard said, his rage and anger at the incident slowly burning away, though he knew that the dragon that caused this commotion and stole from that stand would not be forgiven. "Now, if by chance you didn't see it, a small-sized, quadropedal dragon with the build of a cat with yellow eyes, and a webbed tail just stole some fish from that dishonest man's stall and caused a ruchus here in the marketplace. Now, do you know that dragon?"

the Dragon nodded at the information, a look of realisation in his eyes. now he realised what the blur was. he had only seen it for a second, and had been so irritated with the situation he hadn't bothered to give it a closer look. "Last time i saw it was several hundred kilometers away by the coast. i rescued it from a village of elves. I don't know it personally, but i know that it seems to live off raiding. then again, i can't be sure it's the same Dragon. same species definately" he growled honestly...

"Alright.... Just needed to make sure. It's just that... the timing this happened is just far too much to seem like coincidence for most of us here. Heck, I bet ya atleast 66% of the people here are starting to think that you and that dragon were in cahoots with each other. While you would distract most of the people with your berating of the dishonest seller, that dragon would steal something. However, I myself highly doubt that, based on what you said. However, with this incident, many people will be far more weary of dragons, and the EMperor himself might even prohibit all dragons from entering Germania. So, since you came here for knowledge and buying stuff, I suggest you get what you can buy right now and go... of course, Trajan can't issue any decrees with out the Pope's consent, and since Jeetis's daughter Dione is now the pope, and how much she's fascinated with dragons and the like..." the guard ranted before beginning to murmur to himself. Now, many people wer ebeginning to calm down abit, and, in contrast with what the guard had said, many of them didn't seem to harbor any suspicions toward the dragon with the bag. Only the man at the stall, who was currently trying to fix it back up, secretly glared in anger at the dragon, but with this incident having happened to his stall, fewer people would go to it. In due time, he would probably have to sell his stall and find some other business to deal with...

"Well i think most of us could see that the Dragon that attacked wouldn't have the stealth needed to steal something unnoticed regardless of what was distracting everyone here. short of an outright rampage, i don't think anything could hide that" responded Septimus, before turning away and eying the stalls, trying to decide what he would need. he had food for the day. he had a supply of books to read...what was missing? the Dragon began to circle the group of stalls, attempting to figure out what it was he was forgetting...
