The lady took a step back, not in fear, but more in shock, before just as quickly stepping forward again, intrested in the Skink's features. "My name is Lamia." THelady said, her eyes looking from the skink to the dragon, and back again. She put the topaz into a special compartment in her inventory, knowing that it would be of use to her to pay for her father's treatment. "My father, Belus, will greatly appreciate the money this will bring him..."

"Septimus" growled the Dragon as he looked at the elderly lizardman in mild surprise. he had read of lizardmen in some of the books, but this was the first time actually seeing one...

Tetto'eko smiled. "Good to meet you both," he hissed with a polite dip of his head. The elderly Skink plucked up a necklace of Stegadon teeth, staring at them intently. "Tell me, Lamia my dear, how much would this be?"

The shadowreaver lets out a deafening screech, stumbling back from the arrows as bright purple blood seeps form it and lands with a hiss on the ground. Suddenly, two other soldiers are pulled off of their horses and dragged into the shadows by two unseen beasts........

Leaping over the fence, Uriel spreads his wings and shoots across the field, claws grabbing a sheep near the outskirts of the herd before suddenly flying upward with his prize, the attack so fast few animals even knew it happened...

"That would be.. roughly 15 copper coins in money, I think..." Lamia said, her eyes also on the Stegodon necklace.

The rest of the guards began to break down in fear, reloading their crossbows and firing thm at the creature and in the directions their comrades were snatched to. The horses reared onto their hin dlegs in fear, before bolting off toward the village, one in particular dragging the unconcious Captain wth it...

The Sheep, horses, and Cows in the field, having sensed something not right having happened, look around, before noticing the missing sheep. the animals began to panic, scattering all around the farm in horror...

As Dione enterd into the tunnel, her body, on it's own accord, flung itself to the all, pressing tightly against it. No sooner had she done this than the large gate leading into the chambers flew right past her and out of the tunnel. Following right behind it were 8 serpentine heads, the massive snake slithered out of the tunnel, it's iron-hard scales barely touching Dione's body. The serpent, once out of the tunnel, reared up 50 feet into the air, now free from it's lifetime prison...

"Oh dear," Tetto'eko chirped, crest turning from blue to a lightish red. "I believe I mat not have the proper currency to buy this..." He produced from his hood's sleeve a single gold nugget, engraved with unusual mosaics in the Lizardmen tongues. "My people use gold for its longevity, not its value, but we are well-aware of your kind's attraction to it..."

The first shadowreaver screeches again in pain before collapsing to the ground, dead....

The other shadowreavers, having dragged their prey far enough away from the other soldiers, gleam their sharp teeth and use their shadow magic to absorb the soldiers' energies into themselves.........

"Keep it, Tetto'eko" growled Septimus as his eyes glowed once more, one silver coin, along with 5 coppers, floating out of the satchel, landing in a perfect stack on the girl's stall table. "That should cover the expense" he rumbled with a smile...

"Not all of us, I'm afraid. Even I have my moments. But I return kindness and respect with the same, and you've shown yourself to be pleasant company. So it's the least I could do to help you with something like this. Afterall, money isn't exactly vital to someone who can fend for himself in the wild. Anything I earn trading objects from foreign lands is merely a source of funds for recreation and knowledge" growled Septimus with a smile...

"Thank you very much." Lamia smirked, gently taking the coins off the table and into her pocket. THese would further help her father out with his treatment. "Is there anything else you two would like to get here?"

The guards reloaded their crossbows, their backs to one another. They slowly moved in a clockwise direction, not wanting to get ripepd apart by whatever it was that took their comrades...

Dione watched with fear in her eyes as the gigantic Orochiglared down at the girl, the blond horseinside one of the serpent's mouths. The reptile swallowed the horse down, as it's 7 other heads flicked out their tongues, picking up the scent of the dragon that was just here...

Gliding out of the city, Uriel sets down some distance away before digging into his new meal hungrily.

Another form can be seen running around near the soldiers, but thise one seemnig to try and negotiate with them, even though its words are undecipherable to them due to the shadowreaver's bizzare language. The other shadowreavers stay in the shadows, waiting for the right time to strike.........

Tetto'eko merely nodded at Septimus and hung the necklace on his staff. "Actually, I was more curious as to how you got this item into your possession? Your father, yes?"

"Um... My father obtained that necklace years ago on a trip he took by himself. He never really told me how he got it..." Lamia responded, her eyebrows raised in curiosity. Truth be told, she honestly didn't know how her father obtained that necklace. Perhaps someone gave it to her father... but how on earth does one obtain Stegodon teeth? If she remembered correctly, then Stegodons were very fierce creatures...

The guards kept their backs pressed against each other's, as they stayed still. This was most obviously a trap, with this creature before them trying to distract them from it's potential pack mates lurking somewhere near. The fact that the 1st being had attacked the captain was proof that these things weren't friendly...

The Orochi glared down at the girl, all 8 pairs of eyes locked onto her. "For 15 years have I been down in there, kept by your father!" The serpent snarled, though it;s mouths never moved, before continuing, "He treated me well, but with his death, and the scent of dragon around, I have no need to be here! Farewell, young master..." The serpent hissed as it began to slither off. However, it stopped just at the edge of the treeline seperating the castle grounds from the forest, and turned it's leftmost head around to face Dione, who was paralyzed with fear. "Do not tell anyone of my leaving... find another being to take my place until I return..." the orochi growled as it slinked off into the foresty swamp. Only once it vanished did Dione finally regain the nerve to move. Her mind was a mess, trying to make sense of what the orochi had said... to her, it was but nonsense. Nothing it had said made any sense...

Septimus was just about to spread his wings and leave when he heard the name Lustria mentioned. turning his head back to face them, he growled "Sorry....What or where is Lustria?"...

"Why, my homeland, of course!" Tetto'eko replied, spreading his arms dramatically. "At the southernmost tip of this island. Very dangerous." The Skink paused, smiling. "If you're warmblooded, that is..."

"How...inconvenient. Why is it dangerous for warmblooded creatures to survive there?" growled Septimus...
