Khorne hisses happily.

"That is good to hear. I was afraid that I was all that was left........ You see, I have lived in an area south of here called the Wastelands. It is a hideous, arid area, covered with volcanoes, but it had its perks. Many kinds of Hippogriffs migrated there to warm themselves in the volcanic springs, and the occasional fire wyrm would enter my realm. However, all that changed a few days ago, when the volcanoes erupted and nearly destroyed what few plants and life there were there in the first place...."

"Well, I'm sorry you had to lose your home because of that, along with having the thought you were all that was left," Natasaika said, knowing how'd it feel if she was all alone and lost her home, like she nearly had before...

Khorne hisses sadly.

"Ay, 'tis the life of a basilisk. Everything hates you, but you make of it what you can. Not that I care really, but there are others I remember that were..... more philosophical than me....."

"But not everything hates you, considering I had decided to help you like this for saving my life," Natasaika replied, trying to cheer Khorne up a little as the hunting party soon returned with his meal, the dead deer...

"Very true, young elf...... but you will understand what I mean when time comes to greet you every now and then, and you are reminded of your mortality."

Khorne turns his head towards the hunters.

"Ah, some good food....... I'm tired of eating trolls......."

The basilisk moves towards the kill, trying to avoid getting too excited and accidentally turning someone to stone......

The hunters lower the carcass and move away for Khorne to eat in peace, while Servan and Natasaika watch the basilsk go and enjoy his meal...

Khorne digs into his prey, tearing three fourths of it off, leaving its hindquarters before shaking his head a bit to tenderize it. He then swallows the deer before picking up the last part...

The hunters soon move towards Servan to talk to him about some things, while Natasaika leaves the group and begins to head back home as she sighed, trying to think about what Khorne had just said to her...

Septimus nodded to the girl. "You have our thanks. May your rest be as pleasant as your company" he growled, before turning to the elderly skink. "I'm on an exploration trip across Aster. trying to learn all i can about it. I have thousands of years to spend, so i may as well spend it doing something beneficial. If you like, I'd gladly take you to your next destination once you're done in this city" he offered, smiling...

"Ah, a fellow traveler!" Tetto'eko replied, spreading his arms. "I would be most happy to accompany you to wherever you're going. I might as well go there as well, eh?"

Septimus smiled. "If you like, of course. But i wouldn't want to keep you of any business you may have" growled the Dragon...

The laborers in Draxon begin to get to work, chopping down trees, farming and the like. The guards patrol tirelessly in case of an emergency, and the soldiers in the barracks practice to keep themselves ready for attack. Nobles and higher classmen do their thing and buy items at the various vendors around the main plaza, while the king and the prince awaken and take their seats upon their thrones........

Tetto'eko waved his hand dismissively. "Eh, I have none. I am a traveler, nothing more. I go where I wish."

"Well then. It seems our path is laid out before us. Before we leave, tell me...how do you fair with the cold?" inquired Septimus with a faint note of conscern. his trips tended to take him into cold environments, and he'd need to know whether or not the elder Skink could handle it...

Revion watched Serenity, amused by her still cautious behavior. "Serenity, it's a forest. It is not like someone is going to jump out and attack you. We have not been attacked so far, nor have we been in any danger yet."

"Yet," Serenity nickered. "It is better to be cautious than care free all the time. That is what mum always taught me. The elder unicorns say the same thing. Don't you remember Revion? 'Never be too careful,' they would always reminded us." She snorted and held her head high. "I think it is best that we do not take their teachings with a grain of salt."

Revion pranced up to the filly. "Oh really. I think the elders have to learn to live. They can not be stuck in that stupid valley forever. Eventually someone, or something is going to find it, and make them run off again." His ears twitched at the sound of rustling in the bushes.

Serenity stopped and stared at the bush. She backed up nervously. "What is it..? Come out you..."

A rabbit hopped out of the bush, stared at the two mystical equines, twitched it's nose, then went on its merry way. Revion snorted, and whinnied loudly in laughter.

"It was a little bunny! It was just a fuzz ball," he exclaimed. "Aww little poor Serenity is scared of a wee rabbit." He pranced ahead of he filly, still laughing away.

The filly just shook her head and followed Revion, still at her walking pace.

"While I am cold-blooded," Tetto'eko replied, "I can use magic to keep myself warm. I can even change the weather to a degree if I deem it necessary."

[The Kingpin]

"Won't be necessary. It just means that when we're airborne we'll have to keep closer to the ground" growled Septimus with a smile as he turned from the stall, beginning to walk to the edge of the square. "Would you rather rest here and move in the morning, or move now? Choose whichever you'd preffer. it makes no difference to me" he rumbled...

"Well, an old lizard like myself does need his sleep, I suppose," Tetto'eko replied with a yawn. "We an move in the morning." Turning to Lamia, he dipped his head. "It was a pleasure to meet you, my dear. Always nice to meet friendly humans."
