Aviva's nostrils flared warily, even as she bent to tear at the other half of her catch. She could smell other dragons, and another scent she wasn't familiar with. She reached out with a tendril of thought and gently touched Arsenic's mind. He looked up, ever-changing eyes puzzled. Hiding her worries over the other dragons, she sent a brief feeling of warmth over the contact before severing it. He smiled, going back to cutting strips of flesh away from the fish. He was starving after that hunt; it had taken him longer than he'd though to track Muru down. He needed to keep himself lean and light on his feet, but he also needed to eat. What he couldn't eat, Aviva would. They'd learned long ago not to leave traces of their presence anywhere they went.

Uriel plunged his head into the water, snapping his jaws at another fish, which darted away, unharmed. Growling in frustration, the dragon turned away from the river, a small jet of heat expelling from his maw as he turned in a complete circle, heating the ground beneath him to a comfortable (At least, for a dragon) level, before laying down, staring off into the river, watching the fish dart beneath the surface.

Tetto'eko smelled the other Dragon's scent as well. His head popped up momentarily, tongue darting rapidly for a few seconds. After a moment, he settled down, taking another bite of his fish. If he could smell other creatures nearby, his Draconic friend could no doubt do the same. As long as they didn't pose a threat, he saw no reason to harm them...

After a few moments of thought over a course of action, the Dragon rose to his feet. "I'm going to find out who's out there. I'll be back soon" he rumbled. and with that, he walked into the treeline, keeping himself low, his neck parallel to the ground, as he weaved in and out of the trees, winding between them expertly in spite of his length, as if he had been doing it all his life

A swift figure darted down from the tree tops, a small red feathered bird navigating through the tangled branches and leaves. It flapped its wings fast and swerved back and fourth avoiding the obstacles in its way, such as low branches and hanging vines. In time it started to near the ground, just keeping itself above the shrubbery. It came to a stop near a bush, landing at the base of a tree on a rock like object. The bird cocked its head, beady black eyes fixed on the strange thing it stood upon. It was as hard as a rock, but had a strange gleam to it from the rays of sun shining past the leaves above. The bird tapped its skinny beak against it, a quiet tapping sounding off with each peck, almost inaudible amongst the other sounds of the forest. The object suddenly moved, the bird shooting back into the air, taken by suprise by the sudden shift. Desrium leaned his head forward, having spent the night bracing against the tree trunk. He sluggishly rose to his feet, his joints cracking underneath the metal plates and muffled by the armor. He stretched out his arms and legs, loosening stiff muscles before scanning his surroundings. It was day now- or late in the day, that is- and the woodland was filled with the sounds of its inhabitants. Twittering of birds and a low buzzing of insects lingered in the air. Everything seemed to fall into proper order in the natrual scheme of things. Perhaps eventually, he too would settle into his enviroment and learn the ways of the wilderness.

Finishing her first fish with a snap of teeth, Aviva positioned herself to catch another. She knew Arsenic wouldn't be able to finish the one she'd provided him, but even if she caught another of the same size, she'd still be able to finish his off and catch and eat yet another. Her head darted forward again, wide jaws seeking the next fish to pass by.

Tetto'eko watched Septimus leave for a moment, then turned back to his fish with a chuckle. "I do not need stars to predict that there will never be a dull moment with this one..."

Several moments of winding through the trees trailing the scents lead him to the prize; a hu-..no...no. couldn't be. they didn't have long ears. an elf. an elf...and a black dragon. it was smaller than himself, but he had learned from past experience that smaller didn't necessarily mean less dangerous. for now he watched quietly, hoping not to get their attention....though that idea was soon scrapped as the Dragon noticed a pebble on the floor by his claw. feeling playful, he plucked up the pebble and pinned it between his thumb and index finger, placing the index finger's claw against the pebble, before flicking it at the elf, wanting to see how he'd react...

Draco heads towards the hideous shack at the edge of town again. Guardsmen greet the prince as he heads down the unpaved road heading towards the building. "Where are you going?" A guard says. "I'm..... uh...... heading downtown, to take a look of how it is down there." "Oh, well, we can escort you there. It can be dangerous downtown, with all the pickpockets and murderers that-" "I'm fine, sir." Draco hisses. "Are you sure, my leige?" The guard says. "Yes, yes, I'm sure. Now go back to your post, soldier. You can't be too sure when suspicious activity will occur." "Indeed, sir," the guard says before returning to his post. Draco continues down the beaten, worn path to the hut before reentering........

A sudden flash of movement, barely perceptible, had the assassin's instincts kicking in before he made the decision to move. His hand shot up with reflexes no human could ever hope to match. The flying object smacked into the center of his palm with a slight sting, and he closed his hand on it so as not to drop it. He turned his head and opened his curled fingers, looking at the object nestled in his palm. A...pebble? Arsenic frowned, tilting his head and looking up, towards the general direction it had come from, trying to figure out what had sent it on its flight. Anyone connected to Muru probably wouldn't have wasted their time throwing stones; they would've just tried to kill him. Picking up on his puzzlement, Aviva sent a questioning thought. He showed her what had just happened, and she murmured, 'It seems whoever it is is merely curious. However, be cautious. Don't act hostile unless they prove to be so.' He felt her brief triumph as another fish found its death in her jaws before he pulled away from the contact and tossed the stone once in his hand. Aviva raised her head, swallowed her catch, gave her teeth a quick lick, and turned to look in the same direction, even as Arsenic sent out a searching tendril of thought. He was seeking the consciousness of who - or what - had thrown the pebble.

Septimus was impressed as well as amused by the reaction. checking the ground at his feet, he found another pebble. plucking it up as he did the previous, he flicked it at the elf's forehead, the aim startlingly precise...

Not prepared for a second stone to come flying, Arsenic leaned to one side just in time to avoid being smacked in the forehead, though the stone did graze his cheek as it passed. At the same time, his mind made contact with the one flinging pebbles at him. It was a powerful, inhuman presence not unlike Aviva's, which could only mean it was a dragon. This surprised and amused him, and he knew it would be broadcast to the new dragon and would show in his mental voice when he spoke. 'Do you always greet others by throwing stones at them?' he asked, letting Aviva hear his words as well. She let a faint grin flicker over her maw before flicking the elf with the tip of her tail to warn him to behave.

Some of the Ulfsarks fell but in the vast wave of a horde it diddn't much matter, many just kept running roaring, and screaming, and panting like wild animals all the way. Soon heavy grappling hooks caught them selves on what ever would hold some even hooked onto the shoulders and necks of the enemy soldiers dragging them over or into the wall suddenly and with deadly results. Many of the javelins punched holes through the shields and bent themselves so that they made them useless. As another volley rained down on them cries of pain and death filled the air. Lokar watched and noted that the javelins weren't very effective at pushing the opposition off the walls. "It would seem that they are well disiplined and won't faulter under such Light terrors, very well. LOAD THE DIP" ordered Lokar wanting to push the enemy off the walls. "But sir, the Dip make make traversing the walls impossible for our Ulfsarks," said one of his personal guard. "Not true, if they realise that we're luaching fire at them, they'll bring up water buckets to put out the flames and prevent their forces from effectivly assembling on the walls, the Ulfsarks will still climb and as they near the top of the walls we'll change our ammo to spearing logs. Now change the ammo and fire!" stated Lokar with annoyance in his voice. "Must you always question me?"The Hurskarl did not reply, and so the Ballistas were loaded with the vile pots and as the ready signal came done, "FIRE!" The cloth on the top of the pots were lit aflame and luanched towards the walls. To the defenders, what looked like giant, black, oval heads were being trown at them with their scalps on fire, it was a terrible sight and as the first broke right on the top of the gate house and it suddenly was covered in red, burning, and pungent bile they realized that it was meant for them!

"When the mood strikes me, yes, actually" responded an amused Septimus telepathically, the Dragon's shimmering cyan eyes glowing in the shadows of the trees, the Dragon revealing himself a moment later, his neck craning as he cleared the trees, showing his true height...

'I see. I'll have to keep that in mind; beware flying pebbles.' Arsenic felt the corner of his mouth twitch as he studied the dragon. Male, and considerably bigger than Aviva. He seemed to have a good sense of humor, though. He turned to look at his friend. The black female had cocked her head curiously, green eyes studying the newcomer. This wasn't the first time she'd come into contact with another of her kind, but definitely the first time she'd met one like this.

"Might want to add fish, frogs and particularly irritating mice to that list too. really depends on what's available at the time" responded Septimus with a smirk. he eyed the Dragoness by the river. he hadn't seen anything quite like her before. it rose questions in his mind. perhaps her kind isolated themselves from others, like the Hueilin?

Arsenic cocked an eyebrow. 'So basically, just watch out for flying objects in general,' he said with a smirk. Aviva gave him another flick with her tail, this time to the back of the head, and he turned to give her a wide-eyed, innocent look through eyes that were now deep blue. 'What?' She rolled her eyes and gave the male dragon a nod. "Greetings. You must be the Huelin I sensed...your species has powerful auma." She spoke aloud, startling the elf. He was so used to communicating telepathically with her, he sometimes forgot that she, unlike him, had a voice to use. He leaned against her flank, watching the interaction between the two dragons curiously.

"OH CRA-" the aoldiers on the walls cried out in usison as they leapt off the walls back into the city for their own safety. Those soldiers too slow were incinerated by the fire, while the millitary on the other side of the walls launched their arrows upward over the walls still, striking down as man yof the horde as they could. Trebuchets were being dragged into position and loaded up, their ammo containing dead, flamming pigs and burning rocks... The gate house groaned and leaned forward, the soldiers in the city knowing that it wouldn't hold for long...

Draco enters the house quietly, looknig around in it before saying, "Hello? Anyone here?" No reply comes from within. "Hope he's going out to kill Drakun......" Draco leaves the building before heading towards the town center to go shopping, closing the door as he leaves.....

The assassin from before stands atop the roof in his black robes, waiting for the right time to strike...... he hopes Drakun takes a walk today......

"More or less, yes" responded the Dragon to the elf, before eying the Dragoness as she spoke. "My gratitude for the praise. You can call me Septimus. Might i know your names?" he responded, his deep, powerful, gravelly voice seeming to reverberate through the very ground...
