"Very true," the child says. "Thankfully, we haven't had a trully awful drought in years.... if we did, though, we'd be in serious trouble......"

The royal guards stand over the gate, watchful of those who approach them......

"Well, there IS a way to keep the crops here growing even during a drought, but it could possibly kill the water supply for the kingdom. There is a river a few miles from here that goes into the mountain range, and ends at a lake, so farmers could possibly keep the crops alive by going there and back," Ikargu had soon replied, the Zarthu dragon knowing that the river and lake held an abundance of water in it...

The female Ra'zac was about to step forward, but her partner stopped her. "We are not killing the guardssss. We are here to ssspeak with Draco, that isss all. Focussss!" The female stopped, then nodded mutely, and the two of them stepped out into the open, heading quietly towards the gates. With their hoods up, their faces were completely hidden, and they could easily be mistaken for humans. To make sure the disguise would hold up, Zazikel had enchanted their bodies, making them appear and sound human to the casual observer. Only those who wished to see them as they were would be able to see past the disguise. Fortunately, no one in Aster knew what a Ra'zac was in the first place...

The guards say, "Halt, visitor. State your buisness here."

The child says, "I never even knew that existed....."

"We are merely weary travelersss, good sir," the male Ra'zac said, his voice sounding perfectly normal to the royal guard. "We only wish to stay here for a few nights. I'm sure you can harbor two more humans, no?"

The guard says, "Fair enough. Move along." The gate slowly creaks open, inviting them inside....

The Ra'zac glanced at each other for a moment, then silently headed into the city, taking in their surroundings. It would be easy enough to find Draco with the right opportunity...

"Well, a little exploring does let you learn more about the enviroments around you, that's something I had learned when I was young," Ikargu had soon responded to the child...

Draco decided to head back towards the castle for now.......

"I've never been outside the city," the child says. "In fact, the only people who leave the city consistently are the soldiers."

Khorne lumbers through the forest, coming across a slight pond. He takes a drink out of it to get some fluids inside him before he continues on his way, making sure to mark scents so he can find his way back......

"They weren't all bad. though i haven't seen one willing to actively take action against a crime. they fear dragons, it seems. or at least, fear the unpredictability of them, and other large, intelligent creatures" growled Septimus as he eyed Arsenic, glancing at the black dragon as he returned. "Good hunting?" he inquired mentally...

Uriel snorted in response, laying down on the spot. At the river, Zeke's small head looked out above the water, eying the group from a distance, unsure if it was safe...

The two Ra'zac steadily made their way to the castle, unsure of what to expect when they got there...

"I would take that as a no, perhaps?" Tetto'eko replied.

Arsenic shook his head. 'Ignorance. Trapping a dragon under threat of death just because he got too close? I've never heard of such disgusting behavior from my kind - humans, yes, but elves? We're raised to respect intelligent life as we would our brothers and sisters, especially dragons; not to fear them.' He shouldered his bow, giving the small black dragon a glance before turning to Aviva. She was giving him a steady, level look. "Perhaps, young one," she rumbled, "these elves had bad experiences with dragons while they were learning such things. Maybe that is why they fear us." The assassin shook his head again, muttering darkly in his mental voice.

Ikargu had soon replied, "I see, well, maybe I could show you what it's like outside this place?"

Shezz soon began unpacking the bag full of the supplies he had put into it for almost no reason, and could already tell what the fate of the camp would be sooner or later...

"It seems so" rumbled Septimus through narrowed eyes, before leaping into the air, massive wings thumping powerfully as he ascended, before launching himself forward, gaining speed rapidly, the sounds fading as he disappeared over the canopy and flew off...

'I'm not sure, but we should be going too, Aviva,' Arsenic said, looking at her. She was watching the Huelin leave, but turned at his words. 'Vix will have our heads if we're not back soon. You know she gets worried.' Aviva snorted. "She fancies you," she teased, kneeling so the assassin could clamber onto her neck. 'Does not,' he muttered. 'She just likes to mother me.' "Riiight....meaning, she likes you." His indignant reply was cut off as she stood suddenly, forcing him to steady himself by wrapping an arm around her neck. He turned to Tetto'eko. 'Give Septimus our apologies for leaving so suddenly,' he said. 'But we really must go. We've spent too much time hunting our latest target down already, and waiting longer to return wouldn't be a good idea.'

Tetto'eko smiled and dipped his head politely. "Of course, friends. A pleasure to meet you both." He turned to Uriel. "I suppose I'll just wait here with the dragon that doesn't speak, then..."

'Thank you. A pleasure to have met you as well,' Arsenic replied with a grateful nod. Aviva flexed her legs and leaped out over the river, carving a steep banking turn before heading off in the direction they'd been going when they arrived at the river. Arsenic flattened himself against her neck to avoid being blown off as she picked up speed. And Vix does not fancy me, he muttered to her. Aviva's only reply was a chuckle.
