The Saurugan pack leader soon barks orders out to the others, all of which soon retreat due to knowing they had been spotted. Hurgo walks up to the alien warriors with their weapons raised, before asking, "what's wrong?"

"Their carnivorous raptors called Saurugans. The same animals being rode on in battle earlier, but they're not that deadly unless in packs," Hurgo replied, watching as the last of the Saurugan pack ran off...

Thw Wrehn nods as the rest of the fires are put out. "Sheekhatan will be grateful for these resources. Most planets we settled upon were ravaged by our wars."

Hurgo nodded, saying, "it'd be wiser to rather try and save a planet's resources than waste them during a time of war, no matter what costs..."

A far distance away from civilization, a lone, massive ship floated through the black of space, smaller ships flying in and out of it's hangar bays each moment. Captain Morris, aboard the large bridge in the front of the ship was giving out orders while crew members worked on controlling the ship itself. "So, Morris, where are we going next?" the ship's A.I., Ina, asked after appearing on top of a cylinder-shaped console, putting her hands on her hips as she waited for a response. On other parts of the ship, engineers in their regular suits or hazmat suits worked all about the ship, repairing malufunctioning consoles, controls and pieces of ships preparing for take-off, while some even worked outside fixing damages to the ship's armor. Soldiers trained in the lower decks of the ship, while everyone else rested at the time...

In no time at all, the valley was beginning to look like a base. Makeshift walls stretched from mountain to mountain at the middle of the valley, offering vantage points from which the soldiers could attack from. The engineers worked now to set up anti-air defenses. While they were no where near capable enough to fend off a full scale attack, it would be good enough to destroy any aerial wildlife or scouting parties they might encounter...

Within another section of the ship, scientists were working on ways to develop better combat standards for a parasitic alien race that they bred on the ship after capturing specimens. Work continued on elsewhere as well, as one engineer outside on the top of the massive ship said over the com-link to his partner, "eh, we always get the fun jobs, right 1-9?" "That's a negetive, 2-3, over," his partner replied as he soon began to weld a metal plate onto a damaged piece of the ship, his friend doing the same over on a nearby section of the vehicle. A single ship soon came down to that area, landing on the top of the ship before it's massive back door opened, more engineers coming out with extra supplies and tools. "We're heading there, Ina," captain Morris replied, pulling a cigar from his mouth as he stood up, pointing at an area on a holo-map infront of him and the ship's A.I., the latter saying, "alright, changing ship's course in three... two... one... it's done, captain." "Good," was his only reply as he sat back down, shutting the map down so he could see out of the bridge's large window...

The exploration ships finished their repairs. Thrusters flared up, massive plumes of flames bellowing out from the vessels' engines. They all headed out in different directions, their destinations being other star systems. Some traveled in pairs. Others, like the Iopteryx, went off alone. The Haelbram was left to watch over the Orakian occupied system until other ships joined it. Each craft had their own missions, be it scientific pursuits or resource gathering. Some blended many agendas on one vessel. One of the starships, Foidaria was on its way to setting up another forward base on a distant planet.

The engineers continue to weld the metal plates onto the ship's damaged areas from small rocks and debris floating around. The soldiers within the lower decks continued on with their training just as second lieutenant Ryan walked in, watching the men and woman work. "Hey, Ryan, ain't seen you in a while!" another soldier said as she walked up to him, who soon replied, "hi sergeant Anders, how's it been?" Amanda soon replied, saying "Goin' good, you?" "Fine, fine," was the lieutenant's reply as he leaned against one of the jeeps, a slight smirk on his face...

The starships made their interstellar jumps, bright flashes of light visable for miles marking their departure. Each one was now crossing miles upon miles of space, yet still keeping in touch with their fellow Orakians. Despite the distance inbetween each craft, the unity of their race bound their interests. The goal of each Orakian in existence was to better the Hai'Orak as a species. Technology, knowledge and economics were driving forces in their efforts. "Good harvests to you all" was the departing message of the Iopteryx to its fellow vessels as it started its next journey.

"Well, I guess I'll go and round up some of the new recruits, sir," Anders soon said after a moment, Ryan responding, "alright... I'll monitor this fresh meat." "You always have to be sarcastic, don't you, 1-9?" the engineers partner asked after a moment, the other replying just as sarcastically as last time, "that's a BIG negetive, 2-3, over." "What I'm planning to do, Ina..." captain Morris said after some time, "yes, captain?" the ship's A.I. asked some time after the break in talking, wondering what he wanted to happen, but soon learned as he explained, "I'm going to try and see if we can find a suitable planet for us to colonize... so that way we don't have to live our whole lives in this old God-forsaken ship. It's breaking down, considering all the engineers outside repairing it daily. If it falls apart one day, JUST one day with us all in it, we'll all be dead, Ina..."

The Foidaria's interstellar engine powered down as the ship neared the star system, passing over an asteroid belt at the outer limits of the system. The large rocky bodies rolled slowly as they moved about in the ring, the light of the distant sun revealing huge craters on their surface. The vessel's thrusters activated, the ship speeding towards a rocky planet in the inner system, its surface a dark shade of mauve and violet. The planet was home to many chasms and caves, and was geothermally active, which meant it was rich in mining resources.

The Savannah, as the 5-mile long ship was called, continued floating through space, heading towards a slowly growing star, captain Morris hoping he could manage to find somewhere suitable for everyone living in the ship to colonize. "I understand, sir. But, what of any natives besides wildlife that live at this 'planet'? What are we to do with them?" the ship's A.I. asked the captain after a moment, the latter responding, "well, that depends on both their's and our actions, Ina. If we can make peace, however, than appearently we'll live and work together as one, but if not, who knows what'll happen?" "I see," Ina replied after a moment of silence between the two, who turned and looked at the large window ahead of her, watching stars "seem" to pass by the ship itself...

The Foidaria touched down onto the planet's surface, its landing skids anchoring the ship on the rock. Dust was blown away from the ship's hull thrusters, revealing rough rocky ground. The Foidaria touched down near a chasm, plans for a mining base underway. For now the focus was the forward base. The area around the ship was abundant with rocky hills. A mountain range stretched across for miles in the distance. The sun krept over the ridges and mountains from the north, the planet's rotation being on a near horiztonal axis rather than verticle. The light of the burning blue orb shone through a thin atmosphere. The ship's ramp was lowered to the ground with a loud mechanical hum. Once the ramp was in position, the Orakian vehicles moved out. Instead of treaded scouts, 13 foot tall robotic walkers moved down the ramp. The walkers had a triangular shaped torso with an sphereical cock pit being near the center. The triangle was upside down, with one point directed at the ground at and angle and the two other points forming the walker's "shoulders". A circular window allowed the pilots to look at the rocky planet before them. The legs were inverted with three spaced out toes on the feet, one pointing forwards and the others pointing back. The legs were fitted onto cylindrical hips that the torso could turn independantly of. The walkers also had arms with four mechanized fingers on the hands, one of the fingers being opposable thumbs. These were fitted just under the robots' "shoulders". The vehicles were fitted with black and white, medium strength armor. It allowed them to be agile yet durable for hard work. On the backs of each walkers was a raw substance storage, and on the hands themselves were retangular beam ports. Instead of breaking down and harvesting matter, these beams assembled the already harvested matter to create new materials. The mechs moved out, designs for the base already being shared between pilots. They got to work setting up the construction site, clearing away obstructions such as boulders. The Foidaria's side bays opened, its harvesters being released to help with the effort, clearing obstacles while gathering more raw substance to replenish the stores being used by the builder mechs.

Ryan soon had began to stark electricity into his arm, before sending as small, waving bolt of it at a target in the range, burning part of it to a crisp with the attack. The soldiers watched what happened, but continued on with their training either way, a couple using the .50 caliber MG guns on the jeeps. "Ok, boys! Get up, y'all going to be training soon, so get ready!" Anders called out to a group of recruits waiting outside the target range and training course...

It didnt take long for the builder mechs to finish the foundations and outer walls of the would-be fortress. The perimeter stretched someways infront of the exploration craft that brought the workers to the planet and then down the length to the chasm. The basic shape of the base's foundation was retangular, with small notches pointing out from the sides that would serve as designated facillities when the construction was finished. The metal that was put in place was a dull silver in color, barely having a luster.

The dropships soon enter atmosphere and drop to the planet's surface, releasing hundreds of thousands of Sheekh settlers onto the land. Supplies come out later, and "MOTHER's" pod drops nearby. The settlers begin to make themselves a camp for the night before they head towards the city........

The army finishes their endeavor before they head back to the main city, Hurgo leading the way back...

Anders soon returned into the room with the recruits, before saying, "hey, Ryan, got some fresh meat for ya. I'll go take those guys to the training course, you can help these guys shoot their weapons better." "Thanks, sergeant, I'll be sure not to make them to dry so you still got something left to chew out of once they're ready," Harrison replied, before shouting to the new guys, "ok, ladies! Let's see how well y'all can shoot, go grab a gun from the armory and I'll help ya if you need it..."
