Vix had, thankfully, had the sense to get everyone out before the building was destroyed. Now she felt her knees begin to buckle. She swayed on the spot. A few of the assassins moved towards her as if intending to catch her if she fell. Her only home, gone...at first she felt only disbelief. But then, rage began to turn her vision red. She clenched her jaw, unaware that her teeth were elongating, her eyes literally turning red, her fingers elongating and her nails growing several inches, turning into curved claws. When she opened her mouth to let out a scream of pure fury, the sound came out as more of a roar. Fur the color of her hair sprouted along her spine as she tensed suddenly much more muscular legs and arms, and took off towards the fighting, ignoring Arsenic calling after her to stop. She sprang, claws extended towards the dragon's neck, jaws open wide to expose her new set of fangs.

Arsenic didn't know what the hell had just happened to Vix, but he did know if he didn't do something she was probably going to get herself killed. So he launched a fresh mental assault at the demonic dragon, hoping to buy himself some time to get to Vix.

The chaos and fury burning inside Zazikel's mind unconsciously fought back against Arsenic's attack, blasting it back with overwhelming force. As the dragon struggled, his massive, spiked tail smashed into Vix, sending her flying and having a weakening effect on her, thanks to the life-draining aura...

Vix went skidding along the ground, slowing herself with her new sets of finger and toe claws and scarring the ground deeply. The weakened feeling soon went away, the flood of her rage lending her energy. She threw herself at the dragon again, another screeching yowl escaping her.

Arsenic gritted his teeth and pushed against the dragon's mind, even as he was running towards Vix. He threw a thought at her - Vix, stop! - but was deflected by the seething rage he encountered. The sheer force of it almost made him stagger.

"Me think we head far east until we all in safer place than camp," Shezz replied as he moved on his two feet and closed-hand, still behind the group, but not far enough to lose sight of them...

Zazikel, now aware of what was going thanks to Arsenic's mental message, intercepted Vix by grabbing her in a monstrous foreclaw, the other one busy smashing Tzeentch on the head over and over. In Arsenic's mind, meanwhile, Zazikel tried a new tactic: images of a dragon, very similar in appearance to the Demonic dragon, but far less deformed, passing by like a slideshow, as if drawing the memories of the former Zazikel himself, showing the carefree beast's horrifying possession and transformation in excruciating detail, trying to slow Arsenic down...

OOC: DM, for f*ck's sake, don't continue posting when someone who is deeply involved isn't here. You practically made Tzeentch seem retarded because he couldn't respond in 4 posts. Just because you aren't the last poster doesn't mean you can post endlessly.

Tzeentch's maw opened, a stream of freezing energy engulfing Zazikel's arm as it was raised to strike, freezing it in place, while the serpent's body came alive with electricity, sending thousands of volts into the dragon's body, its magical nature allowing Tzeentch to prevent it from harming Vix...

Andruil watched as buildings were crushed and people fell around him, an angered snarl coming from him as he bolted forward, moving unnaturally fast towards the fallen beasts, leaping at Zazikel with blade in hand, exploiting his splintered attention to get close, claws forming where fingernails used to be, the semi-morphed knight ripping into the side of the Dragon's head, embedding his blade in the Dragon's eye socket, a sickening crunch being heard as the weapon ripped through scale, flesh and bone...

Vix's eyes widened as the electricity hit, opening her mouth wide to release a scream that never quite made it out of her throat. She could feel it, burning her skin, burning, burning...the pain was terrible, her vision blurring...pain, pain, pain...why wasn't it ending?

Arsenic's worry for Vix, intensified when he saw the dragon electrified, managed to block out the majority of the images. He let out a mental shout of her name, but he wasn't even sure she heard.

OOC: Sorry.

The electricity served to melt the ice even faster, and Zazikel swatted the now-weakened Vix away as he howled in pain, purple flames spraying from his maw yet again, washing over everyone near him. The aura still surrounding Zazikel served to severely weaken Andruil's blow, which failed to pierce deep enough to hit the possessed dragon's brain. The deadly energy began to envelop Andruil's arms and sword, starting to rust the metal, only slowed by the sword's magical properties. With a furious kick, Zazikel knocked Tzeentch off of him, now free of the ice enough to move properly. Wrapping his clawed hand around Andruil, he pulled him away, making sure that the blade came out cleanly without injuring the dragon further. By this point, Andruil's vision was beginning to blur from the aura that surrounded him, his hands shaking and unfocused. Tossing the stunned and weakened knight away none too gently, Zazikel rolled weakly to his feet and began to stomp away, trying to at least get some distance from his opponents, hissing and spitting in fury...

Levitation preventing him from being knocked too far away, Tzeentch coiled his body in mid-air as Zazikel moved away, ice appearing all over his body, before finally releasing himself, spiraling toward the dragon's back, his head once again encased in ice, shaped to a point like an arrowhead...

Zazikel, in pain, but not completely out of it yet, managed to spot the attack coming with his good eye and sidestep it, though he was a bit slow. Tzeentch's charge grazed Zazikel's flank enough to give him a slash mark, but the shapeshifter still slammed into the ground. With another roar of pain and fury, Zazikel took to the air with a sluggish beat of his wings, trying to keep out of melee range...

Moving at an angle, Tzeentch was able to pull himself up before he hit the ground, staring up at Zazikel with glowing eyes...

Arsenic sprinted to Vix's side, skidding to a halt and kneeling beside her, reaching out to put a hand on her shoulder. 'Vix? Vix! answer me!' he said, hearing the desperation in his voice. He gave her a gentle shake, at the same time looking for burns the electricity would've left, and finding, to his surprise, that there were none. 'Vix,' he called again, 'get up!' To his relief, she stirred, opening crimson eyes and trying to get up. She was shaky on her feet, but after a few steps that seemed to fade, and soon she was running back towards the fight. Seeing the beast was weakening, Arsenic launched another mental assault, hoping to distract it as well as hoping that Vix was as fine as she seemed.

Andruil stumbled back from the Dragon's attempt to get rid of him, the aura having been forced into being concentrated as a kinetic barrier to prevent the blade from killing it, Andruil looking up at the Dragon as it leapt into the air, a snarl coming from him as he took aim and fired two bolts at the Dragon, one of which embedded itself in the Dragon's lower jaw, the other glancing off the side of it's head as Andruil moved out of direct reach of the Dragon's attacks...

Arsenic's mental assault faltered as his mind was interrupted, but not with images of the former Zazikel. Instead, he was wracked with a combination of pain and images of the entire village in flames, Vix's mutilated body lying on the ground, and armies of creatures hidden in shadow swarming across the lands of Aster. Andruil's bolts rapidly disintegrated as they touched the dragon's lethal aura, and did little to slow him down. At the same time, Zazikel turned in the air and bellowed at the people below: "I must give you credit: you are not the weak vermin I made you out to be. I will not make that mistake again!" He waved his clawed hands over the village, which was more or less in complete shambles, nearly every building in some state of disrepair, many of them completely disintegrated thanks to the Demon's corrupting aura. "But behold what you have earned for your defiance! This is what you get for daring to resist me!" He locked eyes with Tzeentch, his one good eye glowing brightly. "As for you, Tzeentch, you will soon pay for this affront! I will not suffer your existence any longer! The rest of you will join him! You will all burn for eternity for this, and I will make sure you beg for death before the end!" With that, Zazikel swooped away, far out of reach of Vix and racing back into the sky. It would take some time to rejuvenate from these wounds, and he wasn't sure how well he could fix his body's eye with his Demonic power, if he could at all. However, there were more important matters to attend to: his identity had been exposed, no doubt about that, though they probably didn't know the full extent of the former Zazikel's history. He would have to lay low for awhile and rely on Draco and the Ra'zac to keep his plans moving along...

Arsenic reeled back from the pain and the images the demonic dragon had forced into his mind. All around him, white-faced assassins were giving each other stunned looks. Women were screaming, children were wailing, men were shouting for loved ones. He stumbled and fell to his knees, shaking. His eyes were very wide, black against his pale face. His home destroyed...his friends nearly killed...the village a wreck...it all made him want to scream, and he dropped his face into one hand. After a few minutes, he felt a familiar presence at his shoulder. Something wet dropped onto his arm; he looked up to see Vix, returned to normal, looking more than a bit battered...and tears were streaming down her face. He'd never, in the years he'd known her, seen the proud, beautiful woman so distressed. But he couldn't offer her any comfort, because he was just as shaken. Any words he could say would be empty of meaning...so he just held her gaze, knowing his expression mirrored her own.

"He says as he flees..." Tzeentch hissed with a shake of his head, watching the dragon leave. The serpent was not effected by Zazikel's idle boasts. While he bore a few new scars, Tzeentch was relatively unharmed; most of the damage inflicted upon him was in the form of the dragon's corrupting energies, the effects of which subsided almost immediately and left little lasting marks...

The man used a stray rag to wipe the blood off his blade, before sheathing his sword, looking at the small repeating crossbow, noticing that the mechanism had been damaged in use. the man's burning yellow eyes stared off at the Dragon, thinking through what he'd do next...

An Archdemon.....It has been a long time since i have seen one so wreckless....This....will be interesting thought a dark-robed man standing in the woods in the distance as the beast retreated, the man turning away, returning to the depths of the forest, fading from view...

Zazikel landed in the forest a significant distance from the wrecked village, injured, but morbidly satisfied. He certainly set an example, but at the same time, it would likely just compel the more strong-willed ones there to move against him quickly. He was more concerned with Tzeentch. Since when did the shapeshifter take sides? Zazikel knew he didn't like the Archdemon very much, but he didn't know Tzeentch actually cared about Aster enough to preserve it. It made no sense. The possessed dragon shook his head. He had more important matters to attend to now, and he had to make sure the survivors of his little rampage didn't find out any more of his plans. The servant, if he was even still alive, would have to go...

After a moment or two, Arsenic shook his head and forced himself to his feet. Priority was making sure the assassins and villagers were all accounted for, and treating the wounded. If any were deceased, they would need to be buried. Then they could start checking the village and the inn. The damage to people's homes would need to be repaired. 'Dante! he called suddenly, gaze and mind searching for the dark-haired young man. Spotting him, he called him over with a jerk of his head. 'Take one or two of the others with you and start checking the inn. If anyone's still in there, find out if they can be helped or not. Send a few others to start checking out the village as well. They're to search out anyone who's been injured and send them here. When you're done with that I want a damage report on the inn and the village.' Dante nodded and walked off towards the knot of his friends. Arsenic started walking amongst the assassins, taking note of who was injured and who wasn't, and who was too badly injured to be put to work. All the while, he was still calling out orders. 'Felicity, I need you to start tending to the wounded. Vix, stay with her; you took a pretty bad beating. Sverre, right now you're the fastest of us; run out and see if you can catch up with Rowan. Tell her she's needed here if you find her.' Even though he himself was feeling weak and shaky, he kept moving, checking each assassin personally for injuries and noting any missing, sending the worst wounded to Felicity.
