Draco sees the Ra'zac leave before he heads towards the chambers below the castle. He thought it was time to visit an old prisoner....

The warriors of Germania brought as many of the Norsemen as they could before Trajan's servant, the man pretending to be the King eyed each of th eNorsemen that were brought before him. As much as he'd like to have these fools killed right here and now, there was something itching at the back of his skull... something telling him that these weren't the ones that sacked the town of Susano... but perhaps... The servant grabbed the nearest Norsemen that was brough to him, and brought him up close, till they were eye and eye at each other. "Tell me, Barbarian, who were the ones that sacked this town? Tell me, or I'll have you and your kind annialated from all of Aster!" the servant barked, his eyes flaming red in anger...

Revion watched the activity of the two creatures. He was scared, yet curious as to what would happen to the beast. He could tell that the dragon was very powerful, and also seemed very intelligent. My, he is different from the last creature, he thought as he watched. For a minute, he doubted the beast's excuse for food. There must be some others creatures in the forest; a deer, or maybe even a few rabbits. He wanted to speak out against the beast, but he was too frightened to do so.

"I wanted some amusement. pull you out of the sky. see your reaction when a branch or two struck you from the shadows. It was your family's mistake for making it serious. They have only themselves to blame" hissed the Dragon, the mana gas fading as the Dragon smirked. "However....that little....exertion...has worked up quite an appetite. How convenient that you're here...something to satisfy my hunger" rumbled Arashi as a wicked smirk crept onto his face, baring his blade-like fangs as his head shot forward like a snake, clamping shut on the creature just as he moved his foot, biting down with a series of sickening crunches, thrashing till the creature's torso was split from it's lower limbs. the Dragon pinned down the piece in his mouth, ripping it in half and consuming it, eating it one half at a time, the Dragon's wings spread out over the ground around him like a shade, although the ground beneath the wings were actually lit up very faintly from residual light from the wings. as he ate the second half, he tilted his head slightly, pupil-less eyes looking up at the unicorn, a low chuckle coming from the Dragon...

"This is....remarkable" growled Septimus, amazed, as he continued ascending. "Have there ever been addictions to this sort of thing? From what I know of magic, when it does this, people tend to get addicted to it. they strive for more and more of it till it inevitably consumes them" he inquired as he stepped up to Tetto's side...

"Lizardmen do not understand the term 'addiction,' or at least the Saurus don't," Tetto'eko replied. "This is merely used to energize our warriors before battle. It does not cause euphoria, only refreshes."

One survivor of the pack slowly got to it's feet, watching the entire scene unfold. It soon snarled, as a couple others joined it, one saying to the dragon, "so, tell us: would you sacrifice an entire pack of animals, including the younglings, over one creature?"

"Make no mistake, Werebeast. If forced I would slaughter your entire pack. However, Had you let things play out without attacking, I would have left it as light-hearted amusement. Your leader would not be dead, and your brethren would not be scorched. This animal...this...Unicorn...holds value to me. And I'd take it one way or another. It would be up to you whether that one unicorn was worth throwing all your lives away" rumbled the Dragon as he craned his neck, looking down at the Huergah, eyes shimmering with magical energy...

"Is there no depression or poverty in your community? personal hardships that victims sometimes wish they could forget?" growled Septimus curiously...

Kuran crawled along the trees, his sleek black body sliiping from shadow to shadow. He had lost the blood trail, but he sensed a large group of oxygen breathers nearby..... a possible meal. He slunk off through the shadows towards them.

"We risked a lot just to come here in search of food for the pack!" another one of the Huergah's growled, while the third replied, "food is practically scarce in the area we live, yet we risk the lives of all of us hunters just to bring something back for the others..."

The unicorn was sickened as the dragon devoured the beast. He snorted with disgust and shook his head as he listened to the crunching noises. Maybe the beast deserved that kind of fate? He stared up at the dragon, without saying anything at first. Suddenly, he heard the retorts of the other beasts. Over one creature? I may be one creature, but I do have a valuable trait, the equine thought. Then again, was it selfish of him to think in such a way? Did these creatures deserve to live? When the dragon spoke once again, Revion listened, and was interested when it said that he held some value to the reptilian beast. What worth was the unicorn to the dragon? Was the dragon going to let him go once it was done dealing with the rest of the wolf-like beast's pack?

"Well then, be grateful I killed a number of your brethren. Now you may use them as sustinence. Keep the lower half of your leader as well. My hunger has been temporarily satisfied. Consider it a gesture of good will" rumbled Arashi with a smirk as his tail impaled the lower half of the leader, lifting it up into the air and jerking suddenly, sending the legs and hip of the beast flying, hitting the ground at the feet of the one speaking...

"And why, of all things, would we eat our OWN kind?" one of the Huergah's responded in a rather harsh voice, it's eyes staring directly into the dragon's. Another responded, "that's basically cannibalism! We'd never eat any of our bretheren, no matter what!"

"You're hungry. That is meat. You eat meat. Still not seeing the point? Your choice. Considering your pack is starving, I'm surprised you're being picky" rumbled the Dragon simply...

"You apparently don't know our ways, dragon," the third member of the pack responded again, before adding on, "we don't feed off dead blood, nor do we eat already killed beings..."

The unicorn snorted and finally decided to speak out. "There must be other things in the forest; a deer, or any other herbivore, other than myself. I only recently traveled to this area with my companion, Serenity," he finally nickered bitterly at the beasts. He was beginning to have a dislike for them, then again, it all started with their leader.

"And you expect to survive starvation. You amuse me to no end" responded Arashi as his eyes glowed, the half of the corpse he gave them being dragged towards him. "Considering that, I suppose I can have the rest of this then, no?" he added. as the unicorn spoke, he chuckled. "See? even the unicorn thinks so. No forest is devoid of life. If it were so, the forest itself would die. You just need to learn how to find your food"...

"You both must not understand," one of the packmembers responded, before continuing on, "there is little left in the area we live at for us to survive, but we can't find a suitable place to move to either. We've been coming to this area, some distance from our home, just to find things for us all to survive. Your selfishness could easily drive us to starvation, and the killing of some of our best hunters will end us faster!"

Revion had at least a bit of strength to retort back to the creatures. "Selfishness? Do you have no understanding of what has become of most unicorns? My herd are left to hide away in a valley, putting themselves less at risk of being hunted by humans or other kinds of beasts."

Kuran observed the gathering of animals.
There was a dragon, and some horse-like animal, along with a number of... things. They appeared to be argueing, so the hungry Kalesh moved closer.
