Shockingly, the arrows didn't pierce very deeply at all, as if the two humans had armor plating under their outfits. They didn't pause as they disappeared into the forest, running a short distance before finally stopping. The two entertainers recited some sort of phrase in an otherworldly language, and their disguises vanished, revealing the two Ra'zac, cloaked and hooded. Tearing the arrows out of their armored, carapace-coated backs, the two beasts snapped the projectiles angrily. They had done minor damage, and a small amount of venom had probably leaked into their wounds, but they didn't notice. it was likely that they wouldn't be stalled much by it, anyway. The female Ra'zac hissed loudly, obviously in a fury. "I'm going to KILL thosssse foul pigs!" The male Ra'zac swiftly replied, "No! They know who we are now! We mussst ussse plan B." The female Ra'zac angrily slashed her clawed hand across a tree trunk, tearing a good-sized chunk of bark off of it. "Good! I need to commit a murder, assss sssoon assss possssible!" The male Ra'zac ignored his fuming partner, pacing back and forth as she took her anger out on the surrounding foliage. They were far enough away that the sound would be muted by the thick trees around them, anyway...

"Tell me those weren't ordinary arrows" said Andruil as he eyed Arsenic...

'Of course they weren't,' Arsenic said, glancing at his archers, two of which had nocked second arrows and seemed ready to chase after their quarry. 'Narrow enough to pierce deeply into flesh, and barbed at the tip so that once it's in, it's damn near impossible to pull out. Even if you manage that, the toxin they're covered in now has more access to the rest of the body than the entry wound alone. it might be a slow-acting poison, but it can take down even the strongest and most stubborn creatures in a matter of days.'

There was a foul smell lingering in the air in this part of the woods. The armored being let out a loud grunt as he pried apart particularly large plants, seeing what was hidden behind the barrier of foliage as he heard retreating wing beats. A pile of bones comprising of broken bones and instact ribs lay before him. There were clumps of decaying flesh that the predator that took it down couldnt get at still stuck to some peices. Desrium looked up to a tree branch, seeing a black feather bird. Its beak was stained red, with a little bit of meat hanging from it. It threw its neck back and started to bob its head as it worked the small bit of flesh down. Desrium made a low rumbling sound in his throat. He didnt want to see something like this so early in the morning, but he knew all too well that death was just apart of life. He stepped about the carcass and continued on his way with haste, trying to get away from the scent of decay. He would try to avoid the site on his way out of the forest...

Xavier frowned. "Something seemed off about them."

The spy charges further into the forest, still heading towards the northern part of the east coast of Aster to escape these guards, using the trees to conceal his escape...

"Those, my friend, were Zazikel's minions. the beetle-creatures" responded Andruil simply...

It wasn't long before Septimus closed in on the borders of Draxon, Freyr-Lunge visible in the distance...

Xavier responded in a shocked manner. "How did they...? Hmm. Zazikel must have informed them of my location. but doesn't that mean-" Xavier pauses. "This is not good......"

The guards give up, knowing that they can't find him and go back to Draxon, still in their dragon-man forms....

The spy soon slows down when he looks up into the sky from a clearing for a moment and sees the guards are gone, before sighing in relief and finally leaves the forest, entering a field. The man looked around for a moment, not seeing much at all, but continued on the same way he was going.

Saurgu continued swimming underneath the surface of the water, scaring off anything that would possibly harm Sarah, but let the others stay in the lake, chasing off only the biggest ones into the river...

Sarah dismounts Ikargu and says, "Alright.... so how do we do this?"

The field had hippogryphs grazing idly, ignorant to the spy, and did not seem to mind his presence.

"Well, let's go in the water now, and I'll show you," Ikargu said, but added on as a slight warning, "be sure to stay close to the edge of the lake though until you feel you're ready."

The spy sighed in relief, before creeping away, moving towards a mountain range in the distance...

Sarah nods and slowly eases herself into the water. "Brrr! It's cold!"

One hippogrpyh notices the spy and lets out a squak and flapping its wings, thinknig the spy a threat....

"You'll be safe for now. I don't think Draco would risk mobilising forces towards us. Afterall, this is an Assassins' Guild. Fighting Vix, Arsenic and their brethren on their own terms would be suicide. they'd be lucky if any of the soldiers survived. Not to mention the impact poison would have on morale. The soldiers would sooner defy Draco than march to their deaths. As for Zazikel, I have doubts he'd risk attacking again. We've already partially crippled him and injured him extensively, and now his minions may well be on the way to a slow and painful death" said Andruil, Shiryaz pressing a feathered cheek to his own, an oddly pigeon-like coo coming from the bird that mere moments ago sounded like an angry drake...

The spy moves away quickly from the herd, charging towards the mountains to get away from them and search for some kingdom or any intelligent to warn about this new growing threat.

Saurgu's head popped up out of the water and she stated, "don't worry, Sarah. You'll get used to it." Ikargu soon crawled into the water, swimming close to his daughter and showing her the basics at that moment, though it was hard to tell from her view how he was exactly showing her how to swim despite how clear the lake's water was...

Xavier replies, "Well, considering how many of the assassins were lost to that abomination, let's try and hope that Draco isn't in an agressive mood...."

As the spy moved near the mountains, the wind picked up, and the air grew cold....

Sarah tried to follow what Ikargu was doing, but was right now trying to focus on not sinking, despite knowing the two dragons would definitely help her if anything happened.

the guards soon returned. "Well? Where is he?" Draco hisses. "He escaped into the forest, sir." the guard repleis. Draco audibly curses. "Damn him. Let's hope the wild beasts decide to have a snack....."

As the spy moved along, his arms crossed as he shivered, the man looked around and soon noticed something in the distance-what appeared to be a couple of dragons and a young child near a lake. Wondering what was going on, the man ran in that direction, not thinking of anything else at that moment.

Ikargu looked at his daughter for a moment, before saying, "don't worry, Sarah. The best way to do this is to focus on the two things that will help you: knowing the basics of swimming and staying above the surface of the water. maybe when you're older, you can start to learn how to swim other than this way..."

Yaks stand on some rocky outcrops, eating mountain grasses as the cold wind whips by. However, the spy has something more serious to worry about than yaks.... and it looks hungry.

Sarah says, "Okay.... thanks." Sarah moved her arms abit, moving slowly away from the side of the lake, paddling a bit....

Saurgu keeps an eye on Sarah while Ikargu helps her swim right, but neither of the three knew of the spy coming towards them.

The assassin moves closer and closer to the lake, ignoring all else around him but being cautious, making sure nothing was trying to sneak up onto him...

Arsenic said, 'Don't worry. We may have lost quite a few of our brothers and sisters - goddess rest their souls - but we are far from beaten. We will fight, with arrows, daggers, poison, and our fists if we have to.' He raised his head proudly and threw back his shoulders. 'I'll die before I let that brat of a tyrant extend his reach over Aster.'

Suddenly, a gryphon dives down upon the spy, claws outstretched to grab....

Sarah continues swimming slowly. "Hey! I think I'm doing it!"

Xavier nods. "I too will fight against him if necessary."
