The encounter with Animal Control had last for a while now, the van pursuing the fleeing ink hound almost leisurly. It would pull up to the next alley way the dog sped into before driving off again as he bolted once more. The dog catchers rarely put up with something like that. Most strays were oblivious to dog catchers, and those that did run would find themselves at the edge of a busy road and stop there. A careful approach so as to not startle the panicked creatures was all it took at that point to catch them. This one was different. It ran across streets with no fear. On more than one occasion did a car come to a screeching halt a few feet away from the dog, the vehicles behind barely stopping in time to avoid rear ending it and each other. It was a danger on the streets and needed to be caught. If it didnt cause an accident it would get itself killed!

Finally, the two officers could catch the deranged animal. Suspecting it may be rabbid, they left the vehicle wearing black leather gloves along with their light blue uniforms and clamps that were at the end of silver rods the length of a broom stick. They carefully started down the alleyway, looking from side to side. They peeked behind cardboard boxes and discarded crates as they tried to locate the dog, but it was nowhere to be found. "What the- it couldnt have disappeared!" One of them exclaimed. "No way could it have gotten around us without being spotted!" The other added, prodding a box with the metal rod. "Where could it be hiding?" They turned away from the brick wall, one starting to look in the boxes themselves to make sure it wasnt hiding. "Ill go swing the van around the block, make sure it didnt give us the slip" The other said, walking out of the alley and getting back into the van. Silently, JoJo scaled the wall, several small tendrils spreading out from his paws, as well as two thicker tendrils arcing out from his back, his body now a blend of his disguise and his natrual form; patches of brown and black that retained the look of his coat hung onto his inky body in various places. The past and present version of the same creature blended together...
