"Judge not lest you be judged. If I am judged, so too shall you. And, as expected, I'm afraid you are wrong, Greshlynk. Again" rumbled Septimus. having lived almost 150 years among his own kind before exile, he knew each and every one of his brethren in the community. and Flyrn didn't exist. "You have failed to produce my mother's name, or any other Hueilin name aside from my own and Arashi's, who I have mentioned in passing elsewhere. You have failed to produce the correct age of the Hueilin. And you have failed to name the purpose for which my kind are located where we are. I'm afraid you do not qualify as a deity at all, let alone the creator of Dragons. I Pity your followers. They have no idea of what you really are....and I doubt they would be convinced by this incident alone. Few who hold their religion dear ever do, regardless of how wrong it may be. Still, I will not impose it upon them. I will not meddle in their affairs and beliefs, nor will they in mine. But remember Greshlynk....the Hueilin know your true nature....And unlike humans....We never forget..." rumbled Septimus finally as he turned his back on the statue, walking towards the entrance...

And another religious debate concludes... Tetto'eko thought, a bit bored. He cared little for other civilization's religions. There were far more interesting things to be learned in this city, no doubt. He was still, however, distracted. The feeling continued to persist, and the Skink kept looking around, as if expecting all his questions to be answered by the walls...

Greshlynk chuckles. "MY, YOU ARE A STUCK UP LITTLE ONE, AREN'T YOU? ALAS, YOU HAVE BEEN SWALLOWED BY YOUR EGO AND DISBELIEF, AND HAVE FORGOTTEN ALL THAT HAS GIVEN YOU RESPECT. PERHAPS YOU WOULD ENJOY TO KNOW YOUR FUTURE IS A BLEAK ONE. YOUR QUEST IS ONE OF DARKNESS, AND CAN ONLY END WITH YOU BECOMING WHAT YOU LOATH SO MUCH. GOOD LUCK, SEPTIMUS, AND ENJOY YOUR JOURNEY." The avatar returns to its stand and regains its pose. The priests, having lost respect for septimus for insulting their god, do not give him any tidings as he leaves....

The guards stopped at the words, before shrugging once more. "Alright. We'll accompany you to Trajan himself, but right now, he's a bit busy... you might have to wait a little bit until you're free to come in." the guards said in unison. THey had heard that Trajan was busy talking to the one called Cornerlious, and that this was supposed to be a veyr important meeting. Surely, this message could wait until that meeting was over...

Desrium sat on the chair, book on his lap. He looked out of the window, watching the little drops of rain slide down the glass. In the grey gloom of the rainy sky, they made shadowy tendrils across Desrium's face. He opened the book after a moment, flipping to the page he left off on before continuing to read. Perhaps one day he'd go to this place they called Zuppoland. A strange name for a strange place, probably home to things like him...

"My conclusions were only built by the impression you gave, Greshlynk. My creator would understand that. You do not, further proving my point. And you should be the last to speak of egos..." responded Septimus with a dismissive flick of his tail as he left, saying nothing more. The Dragon had lost his respect for Greshlynk. he couldn't even produce facts that are present and past. his guess at his future was almost definitely as badly aimed as his responses. The Dragon left the temple, wondering whether he'd go through the market before he went to the Archives. He didn't expect to find much information in the mausoleum that he couldn't find in the Archives or a relatively large Library in Draxon's cities. Furthermore, being that the Mausoleum was both a resting place and tribute to Draxon's leaders, he had a hunch that some information in there would be exaggerated and biased in order to brighten the Leaders' place in the Draxons' minds. "You in the mood to shop for something before we head to the Archives, Tetto?" he growled as he turned his head to one side so he could see the skink with one eye...

"Very well..." responded the messenger as he leapt off his horse, tying it up at the gates. the fact the guards spoke in unison unnerved him slightly...but he shrugged it off for now...

The gryphon riders soon descend onto the top of the palace, waiting until the other being leaves for them to swoop down....

Ferdinand was waiting outside for them to exit, the priests talking to their god inside, to get answers from him....

Draco ponders about the dragon, before a dastardly thought strikes him...

Tetto'eko snapped back to reality, snapping his head to look at Septimus, momentarily confused. "Eh? Oh, um, my apologies! It's just that this city feels... don't worry, actually. Let's just go to the Archives, shall we? I do not feel I will find anything of value to me in the markets..."

"As you wish. Ferdinand, if you would be so kind?" he growled with a smile as he shifted his focus to the Draxon...

Ferdinand grunts. "Alright. But first, tell me- why'd you do that? And you know that the avatar's a fake, right?"

The king assembles eight of his royal guard and tells them to search for septimus and tell him he has an important meeting with draco....

"If it is real enough for them to promise he will give me answers, then it is real enough to consider a true avatar, whether or not it's really fake" rumbled Septimus with a smirk. "Besides, Like Draxons have their beliefs, I have my own. I had to compare the two and find out for myself what made Greshlynk special. just his description from the priest wasn't enough. I have acquaintances capable of similar feats to what I was told Greshlynk had done. So what point is there calling him a God?" he added simply. "I mean no insult to the Draxons, but Greshlynk simply hasn't got me convinced" he growled. pausing for a moment, he eyed Ferdinand and growled "But you have my curiosity. In what way is it a fake? And who placed it there and managed to convince the priests it's real?"...

Tetto'eko was back to watching his surroundings nervously. Whatever he felt, he knew it wasn't watching them. It wasn't even HERE, for all the Skink could tell. All he knew was that the feeling was familiar, and not in a good way...

Ferdinand says, "Drakun II told me that the effigy was built by Fenrir's priests when he first came to them all those years ago. He was only spotted for a moment, so they went off of that. The statue was enchanted to speak to people to keep the magic alive, yadda yadda. It's been around so long people forgot that it's just a statue and think it's his actual avatar. In fact, other than his brief appearence over 600 years ago, Greshlynk's real avatar hasn't appeared in over 3,000 years. Even the priests forgot that the statue isn't real, and it only knows so much, which is why it knew nothing but your name, your father, and, thanks to the Eye of Greshlynk embedded into its face, your (changable) future.

Drakun II told me that he read it in a book written by Fafnir himself.... if you're lucky, it might still be in the archives.... if the former king didn't hide it somewhere."

The guards begin to search around the city slowly....

Septimus chuckled amusedly at the story. "Then someone would do good to remind the priests of that fact, lest they start getting down on their knees before it and worshipping it outright" he rumbled. he upped the pace slightly, growling "The more I hear, the more I think the information I came here searching for will be inside the Archives. Let us hurry"...

"I appreciate you telling me, friend" said the disciple to the Inn Keeper, before returning to his food, thinking over the story. there had been deaths in this Inn in the past.....he wondered how many more....

by now, the second caravan had broken up, the cranes moved into position and operated by use of sand bags to counter the weight of the debris, large grappling hooks held by chains, hooked into particularly troublesome chunks of debris, heaved out. by this point the location where the inn was was almost cleared, and men had gone into the surrounding forests in order to retrieve lumber with which to build the village's temporary walls and scaffold for the reconstructed buildings. Andruil looked around, then looked at Arsenic and Vix. "Perhaps we should get round to finding those stone masons, hm? We've seen how easily wood is smashed by that abomination...but stone walls? I don't think he'll manage to knock down those quite as easily" he suggested...

Meanwhile, far above the skies of Valenhad's borders, a long, grey, serpentine Dragon soared, Arashi's gaze scanning the countryside for something...

The Gryphon masters watch the town curiously, before landing atop two trees and scanning them for possible threats....

The other two soon fly down from the top of the palace and tie their mounts to a post, before getting ready to go inside.....

Ferdinand nods before adding in, "But please, try and not question everything you see here. You already won't be welcomed with open arms if news of your heresy reaches Draco."

"It is my nature to learn. As such I ask questions whenever i'm given the opportunity. But I understand. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. Still...Draxons are given the freedom to believe what they want outside of their homeland, if my exploration thusfar has served me correctly....Is it really too much to ask for outsiders in Draxon to have the same freedom?" rumbled Septimus...

The messenger saw the gryphon riders descend, eyes narrowing. something about them didn't feel right. but he couldn't tell what. still, having arrived first, his meeting would come first, and for now, that was all that mattered...

above the village, Shiryaz circled, eyeing the Gryphon riders warily, a long call audible to everyone below...

"yes." The innkeeper simply spoke as he headed out fo the room, certain that th emain course was ready by now, but still saddened to remember that horrible day...

Trajan entered into the main castle, with Cornelious following right behind them. As they got to the dinning hall, where the small idol had been placed on the main table, the door to the stairs opened up and Dione came out of the doorway, still abit tied, bit ready to have somehing to eat... until her eyes landed on the small idol. She approached it, before picking it up in her hands. "What on earth is this?" Dione asked curiously as Trajan and Cornelious came near...

The gryphon masters notice the messager from Valenhad. "Greetings, messager. I'd assume you have buisness with the king here as well?"

The other two gryphon masters see the being, but do nothing...

Ferdinand turns to Tetto'eko. "Oh. Hello, lizardkin. Yes, he is our current Monarch, after the last one's mysterious murder...." The guard then turns to Septimus. "You can believe what you want by law here in Draxon, it's more of the fact that the people might not like the way you feel about certain things. And religion is certainly one of those things people get angry over."
