The Akantor roars before firing explosive shells from the guna on its back, blowing up the two tentacles restricting it before it burrows down to find Yuna....

The reavers, being in the air, simply manuever out of the way. Skorge's reaver's multi-rocket launcher assaults the thing, while the smaller reaver's chainguns buffet it constantly from far distances.....

The Berserkers, being immuen to everything shrot of plasma weaponry, rush into the hordes, swatting aside anything in their way, the flames doing little to phase them. The boomers do not falter despite losses, either. Theron arrows blows up those in their way, and RAAM and I march to find Scales and gira....

the reavers continue attacking any and all aircraft, Brumaks joining in as well...

the mini akantors begin to scale up the sides of the castle...

*A frightened, inexperienced signaller hears the cannonfire in the distance among other things and quickly stops firing, scrambling to get his radio. The only wounds caused to Sarge are some scars from the resulting attack, but the man is mostly unharmed from the attack and blasts Scale's even more with his B.A.R*

Sig: Command, we need a counter-arty maneuver done A.S.A.P!!!

Command: Copy that, soldier. Calm down, pin point the area you want our units to help, and we'll issue this order right away.

Sig: Where do you think?! Uh, I believe 200 clicks to the west!

Command: We'll just issue the order in all directions 200 clicks from your postion, over.

Sarge: Bring it on!

Soldier: We are totally God-damned pinned!

Soldier: We can't move here sarge, we can't hold!

Soldier: Aghu!

Soldier: How does it look, *cough* sarge?

Soldier: Medic! We need a f***ing medic!

* The SPace Pirates switch to their plasma-based weaponry, before firing at the Berserkers and Boomers, shooting them down before they can approach...*

*The large tentacles collapse onto the ground, smoothering SKorge, G4E, and RAAAM in the process...*

*Yuna winces with pain as she feels the loss of her tentacles, the demon lets loose even more tentacles, these ones wrap around the AKantors climbing up the walls, before yanking them off and hurling them into the infected...*

Yuna: (Why must I bne so weak? If only I was back at full power...)

*The Hatcher Metroid stops spinning, all the firepower blasted at it only bouncing off the hide, though the shots that hit the tentacles seem to cuase the creature abit of pain, the Metroid lifts up one tentacle, a large Phazon Beam fires from it, engulfing any Reavers in the way...*

*The Pelicans and Falcons try and outdodge the Reavers, while firing on them with rockets and chain-guns at the same time...*

*Scales, not ready to die just yet, gets up onto his feet, before dashing right at Sarge, punching him in the gut, sending the man toppling noto his back...*

*A few seconds later, the battlefield explodes as numerous cannonballs collide with the Infected Horde and UR's army, blasting them apart completely. I lift my eyes to the distance, just barely spotting several-dozon Airships comming in from the horizon...*

[Pyronychus]

*Rhojis lets out a shocked snarl as he hits the ground, his pistol flying out of his hand. Without hesitating, he rolls over onto his back and pulls out the other ion gun, taking aim at the huge zombie's chest and firing on maximum setting.*

*As the second Comanche raises the King Air through the hangar roof and turns back toward the rift, the pilots of the first watch the events inside, wishing they could do something to help Rhojis, though unfortunately, it takes all the extra power they have just to keep the roof open. Moments after the first chopper disappears through the portal with its charge, a third Comanche flies from the rift, Derek maneuvering it into position beside the second, its multiple small laser turrets firing accurately down at the horde while it attaches its tractor beam to the only remaining salvageable aircraft in the hangar, a Cessna 172, and lifts the smaller plane out of harm's way.*

Derek: They did a job on those planes, didn't they? I won't be able to save the others. Let's close up shop...

Sy: What about Rhojis?

Amy: We'll get him out some other way. I can't run the emitter for much longer or it'll overheat.

*Amy flicks a series of switches, turning off the destabilization beam and retracting the emitter into the fuselage. Gains altitude, watching Derek's Comanche fly through the portal with the Cessna...*

*The beast roars and drives it's fist into the ground, a spike-tipped tentacle flying from the ground through Rhojis erupts from beneath him a moment later.

The soldiers alive manage to take cover and regroup with the two armies that were not caught in the blast, before beginning to fire on the infected and others, not knowing what to shoot anymore from demoralization, confusion and exhaustion. Sarge retailiates by delivering a nasty blow to Scale's face with his fist, before pulling out a bowie knife and driving it into the general's stomach a moment later before he can react...*

*Scales, almost as if unaffected byt he knife in his gut, grabs Sarge by the neck, before holding him up to where his feet are off the ground, the Sharpclaw Captain now meeting him eye to eye, the grip on his throat forcing him to let go of the knife.*

Scales: So, you thought you could beast me? YOU thought you could take me down?! Pfft! NO ONE CAN DEFEAT GENERAL SCALES!

*The General hurls Sarge off to the side, casting Sarge off of the Fortress and toward the ground below, the General collapses onto his knees, breathing heavily, as he grips the knife in his chest and tries to yank it out...*

*More Dark-Matter spheres fly from the puddle, obliterating many of the ZOmbies around Pyro's Characters...*

*Sarge just barely manages to get a hold of the ledge as he is thrown by Scales and slowly pulls himself up, before pulling out his pistol as he gets on to his feet and blasts the general in the head with it. My other troops keep on firing around wildly, the planes in the air firing at all the aerial forces brought with the enemies they fought...*

*Sarge's pistol flies out of his hand before he can fire, tumbling off the fortress wall, as a massive, armored figure kicks his gun hand, making him stagger backwards. The Meta snarls, having literally dropped from the sky in front of Sarge, then grabs him by the throat and throws him away like a child's toy*

*Scales manages to rip the knife out of his chest, before looking up at this new arrival...*

Scales: And who... might I thank.. for saving my life?

*Yuna's tentacles wrap around the aircraft, before crushing them with ease, the demon's tentacles then hurl them at the ground forces...*

*The Meta glances over his shoulder for a moment at Scales, growls animalistically, then turns to face Sarge again, unslinging his Brute Shot*

RAAM and I avoid the conflict completely, being inside the castle already, marching up the stairs to fight Scales and his elite... or possibly gira.

Skorge, being in conflict with the metroid thing on his Reaver, also avoids the tentacles, and fires mroe rockets at the thing, only one clumsy reaver rider fallnig to the beam...

The Berserkers flinch from the attacks, the heat damaging their thick hides and causing them to screech with pain, the hide softening their flesh enough for ballistics to work, though for a very brief period of time...

The boomers keep fighting, rockets, chaingun rounds, flamsthrowers, and mauler maces hitting anything in range....

The quick and agiel reavers keep in step with the falcons and pelicans, coutnering and dodging attacks themselves, happy to have a worthy sky opponent...

the big akantor suddenly bursts to where Yuna is, swatting her with a gargantuan paw....

Soldier: Who the hell are we supposed to shoot, lieutenant?!

Soldier: Shoot everything! We're on our own now!

Soldier: This isn't right, sir!

Soldier: We're killing the enemy and allied forces at the same time!!

*Soldiers keep firing in every direction while moving quickly to avoid being crushed by the falling planes. Most of the troops stop shooting on Gira's forces along with G4E's and give up, either running or falling over to accept death, while the large force that stays shoots on the infected only. Sarge is injured from the the landing, but gets up and grabs his nearby B.A.R that had landed where he did, before firing on Scales and the Meta. An ODST pod crash-lands right behind agent Maine...*

*The Meta's Overshield blocks the bullets easily, and he quickly returns fire, grenades exploding as the smash into the ground around Sarge, several hitting him directly. He then leaps into the air, landing on top of the ODST pod behind him, watching Sarge fly backwards*

*Sarge is flung across the platform and lands some distance away from the Meta while the door of the drop pod flies open and crashes into Scales, agent Washington coming out a few moments later...*

*A gauntleted hand reaches down and grabs Washington by the back of his neck, heaving him up and throwing him over the Meta's shoulder, sending him flying at Sarge*

*The Falcons and Pelicans keep up the dog-fight, shooting down any Reavers they can while avoiding damage themselves...*

*Yuna lands hard on her back, the girl tries to get onto her feet, but Meta-Ridley, whose been dicing through G4E's forces, leaps at the Akantor, landing on it's back, the Cyborgfires his flames upon the beast's back, allowing Yuna to scurry to safety...*

*More cannonballs fire from the Airships, bombarding the Infected, blasting them away...*

*From where I am, I spot a lone figure ontop of the lead Airship...*

Now who might that be?

* The Hatcher Metroid shifts to the side, dodging the rockets, before firing another Phazon Beam, this one from the mouth, the beam slams into SKorge, knocking him back...*

*Inside the Fortress, numerous Plasma Turrets activate and open fire upon G4E's forces, pinning down the Boomers and Berserkers, the SPacepirates falling back to behind the turrets, while also firing on the Locust Horde...*

*Scales gets back onto his feet, befor erolling to the side, barely dodging the Pod Door...*

*Sarge rolls out of the way before Washington can land, slowly getting up once more and firing his gun a couple of times at the general and his savior. A damaged pelican flies in towards the group, aimed towards the Meta and Scales...*

*The Meta stares up at the incoming Pelican, then jumps down behind the drop pod, using it as cover from Sarge's gunfire for himself and Scales, dragging the General along with him as he scurries quickly along the wall, away from the incoming dropship*

*The pelican continues to fly towards the Meta and Scales, finally crashing right infront of them and slowly falls apart. Sarge fires his B.A.R even more as he gets up, while Washington throws a plasma grenade in agent Maine's direction...*

*The gunfire once again hits the ODST pod, which is between the Meta and Sarge, and Maine ducks the Plasma Grenade, letting it fly at the Pelican instead, the Meta jumping backwards as it crashes*
