The Dino Island RPG sounds like an interesting idea to me. It has my vote.

Number of required votes reached, approved as per req.
RPG topic will be posted by the RPG's creator.

Personally, I would prefer if more players signed up, but maybe more will be attracted when the RPG begins. Either way, good luck and enjoy to all involved.

Doc: I hope more will make characters, because they'll have a good chunk of time to do it.

I think he just asked for several Games Workstop based rpgs all of them based around very limited detail, he obviously expects to know what he's talking about, but at least he diddn't try to make one without permission from the admins

G4E, shut up.

Wolfius, welcome.

Gotta remember that this is text based RPGs. It has more in common with a novel than it does with a table top or pen and paper rpg.

Think of RPGT as like multi-player fan-fiction :P

Read a few of the existing RPGs, maybe flick through the archives and get a feel for what we do here, then, if you want to suggest something, remember that you have to convince people to like it. We're all lazy and if you just say "A hordes RPG" we're not going to pay any attention.

oh ya, and RT, you shut up too.

Re: RPG Requests

Postby TyrannoTitan » Thu Apr 14, 2011 9:56 pm

After the destruction of several RPGs, including ARPG, I decided to propose a new one to fill its place: Bermuda Reef RPG.

It would be a try at another Sea RPG, without the ridiculous size of Sea RPG. Instead, the setting would be a reef, with both shallow and rather deep water. The only restrictions for characters would be the size of the animals: Although there is a deep section of the reef, it is no where near large enough to support a whale or large shark (IE Great White), or other such creatures. There will be no physical boundaries inside the RPG; characters have access to the open ocean, but their home is obviously the reef. Meaning that posts should not be outside the reef. The only case where a character would leave the reef would be if the player is retiring them, sending them elsewhere.

Proposed Rules:

1: No killing off other people's characters.
2: No powerplaying.
3: No one word posts.
4: No large creatures for characters. Plot devices such as a great white coming in frequently are allowed, but not as characters.
5: No unrealistic circumstances (Magic and such).
6: No restriction on habitat of species. A deep-sea fish such as an angler fish living near the surface is fine.

So, what do you guys think?

While sizes and such are much more managable, I still have doubts as to interaction. Fish (and most nonmamalian sea life) dun speak. Only thing available for player coordination is fighting :/

Dinosaurs also can't speak. And yet they do that anyway. Not really an issue.

Piranhas are exclusively freshwater fish IIRC.

Eh. I'd LIKE to get back into the idea of a Sea RPG, but I just can't summon any enthusiasm for the idea. Sorry. >_<

... Dammit. Well, I still got the chance to use either A: a squid or B: a shark.

EDIT: Also, what era in time will this be based in?

Does it matter? I would assume modern time.

Well... prehistoric sea monster + modern times = time paradox, and vice versa.
