Well ISS already allows most prehistoric sea creatures. I thought it was assumed that I meant modern times.

Yeah but... ISS is based on CLONED prehistoric creatures... with tampered DNA codes. That's what changes what the RPG is going to be based on and... I'm just going to shut up now and go with such a brilliant idea! Now i can devastate the seas (or atleast the reef) with massive sea scorpions!

One problem with making Sea Scorpions in ISS... the rules state you can use REPTILES from the Paleozoic to the Mesozoic era, not arthropods... SO for him to use Sea Scorpions as his character, there has to be a bend in the rules...

As for this Reef RPG... it sounds quite nice... I migh tbe able to join it... if I can think of a good creature to use... (Maybe a Crocodile...)

I don't see why you can't make sea scorpions in ISS, but I'd have to discuss it with the other members of the staff first.

I don't remember specifying that you could only use dinosaurs. Any animal from the start of earth up to the end of the Cretaceous is an option. however, if issues turn up later on regarding certain species, we will adjust the rules accordingly...

If the reef rpg goes through and the timeline specifications allow it(ie Paleozoic itself or Paleozoic-Late Cretaceous etc)I think I'd pick a Dunkleosteus or perhaps a Pterygotus,my favorite aquatic arthropod of the Paleozoic and beyond.

Also I wouldn't mind seeing an rpg from either the alien or predator franchises,just a suggestion you don't have to listen to me if you don't want too.

A 'Reef RPG' would be too limited to be enjoyable, IMO. not to mention a marine life RPG has been tried in the past [granted, it was modern marine life, not prehistoric, but the RPG's failure was due to the setting, not the type of character options], and it failed horrifically. chances are this RPG would crash and burn within 2 weeks of being made...


As for Predator or Alien RPGs, they've been tried. also failed horribly. feel free to add it to the Space-E-War though. you can carve yourself a little niche in there. though I suggest you don't get too excited about the gore and mayhem. most of the factions in SEW are advanced enough that they'd rip Aliens apart, and, to a lesser degree, Predators as well...

The Reef RPG would be modern animals too, but like I said, the problem with the old RPG was the range people had. It meant there was 0 interaction among players due to the extreme size.

Well how about a new zombie rpg,the old one didn't do too bad and kept going,at least more so than the avp one anyway.Also you mentioned a Space-E-War,I might have to take a look into that.

I was aware of that Godzilla Forever,I was proposing to Kingpin if having it make a return would be acceptable,as like you said it did ok in it's original run.

Another idea I'd like to be considered is the possibility of some kind of apocalyptic rpg and before anything is said I'd like to point out that it doesn't necessarily mean a zombie rpg
I suppose I could go into more detail but I'd have to wait for the thought to even be noticed by the higher members of rpgtopia first
