As the ceratosaur swims up the stream he begins to become hungry thinking Maybe I should have eaten those intruders. Sand Claw continues upstream making sure no other intruders are near...

"The caves." Darkness responded simply, nodding in the direction of the entrance he used to get to this spot. "I've been wandering around the system for a while, finding out where it leads..." he explained, slightly embarrassed that what he considered exploration might've disrupted this raptor's only home...

"Ahh," Steeltalon growled, comprehension dawning. "I see." She looked thoughtfully at the edge of the trees on her side of the stream, where a slight dip just big enough for a raptor to get into led to the part of the cave system she called home. Since arriving here she'd been careful to mark the areas she'd explored with deep claw marks in the rock of the caves, not wanting to get lost. "Are you looking for a way back, then?"

As Sand Claw dives under the crystal clear water making a large splash he searches for any fish large enough to stay his hunger. as he swims further upstream he spots what he's looking for a large catfish. The fish was under the shade of so trees on the opposite side of the streams bank. being careful not to move to fast Sand Claw makes his way over to the large fish. Before the fish has time to react Sand Claw snatches it with a large splash he hits the surface and begins to eat his catch.

Darkness nodded. "I was hoping to follow the stream back to a part I'm familiar with..." he explained, not mentioning his earlier thoughts of taking the area by force, should Crusher and himself need it. When it was a pack of selfish attackers, he was fine with ousting them. But since it appeared it was just this lone raptor trying to help...

The old Acrocanthosarus didn't feel herself or her charge were in any trouble, at the moment after moving further away. Coldmoon had wanted to run ahead, as usual she was curious with the world and everything it had to offer. The far larger and older dinosaur could barely remember the time she had been that young. Back when she was with her powerful father and mother, she had been so wise. Even now she didn't think she was as wise as she once was.

Coldmoon, she was sure had the potential to be something great. It was just a feeling in her old bones and she fully intended to watch after her until then, and after.

It was quite in the jungle, a bit too quite for Radja's liking but she didn't pick up much. They did however stumble upon a large herbivore that had recently been killed. She couldn't tell what it had been, since it had been badly savaged by whatever had killed it.

"I never seen this before. What is it Radja?" The child T-rex stopped, just a moment from her hunger to ask the question.

"I do not know child. For the moment, its merely food and I don't pick up any other carnivores coming this way so it should be fine." That and there wasn't many that wanted to tangle with the abnormal sized Acro.

Satisfied, the child dug in into the carcass, the older dinosaur seemingly taking her time. She didn't eat that much really, instead letting the younger one enjoy her meal.

Steeltalon hummed thoughtfully. "You came from that direction?" she asked, nodding towards the direction Darkness had been going.

After finishing the catfish Sand Claw crawled out of the water to find a place to rest. He found what he was looking for by a boulder on the bank of the stream. Sand Claw slowly lowered himself onto the sandy bank and drifted to sleep...

"I think so..." Darkness growled, scratching his head thoughtfully with a claw. His trek through the cave was dark and disorienting, but he thought he knew which direction he had traveled most...

Steeltalon thought quickly, tracing the twisting route those tunnels took in her mind as best as she knew it. "Did you pass an underground lake?" she asked. "A small one. It would have been in a pretty wide cavern."

Darkness nodded, intrigued by the other raptor's knowledge of the cave systems.

"Then you did come from that way," Steeltalon growled with a thoughtful nod. She nodded to the entrance behind her. "That will take you to a stream that feeds into that lake if you follow it in that direction. After that, there's really only one path to the back to the surface. Just follow the claw marks."

Sand Claw awoke after a series of nightmares about allosaurus the creatures killed his mate a year ago and he's still suffering from the loss. Sand Claw has had to adapt to hunting alone and it hasnt been easy. As Sand Claw walks off scenting the air he catches the scent of raptors again but this time very close he follows the scent upstream. Sand Claw can now distinct the scents of the raptors ones a female the others a male...

"Much appreciated." Darkness growled with a faint smile, moving to the shore before launching himself across, landing a few feet from Steeltalon. With a grateful nod to the half-mutant, he made his way back to the entrance...

Sand Claw saw the male raptor jump the stream and land near the female. Staying very quite he moved closer to see what else was happening. Sand Claw also saw the male raptor heading for the entrance of the cave...

"Happy to help," Steeltalon replied, watching him go. It felt...nice to be able to help one of her kind. Not totally useless after all, she thought, feeling a dim glow of pride.

The half-mutant's head snapped towards the ceratosaur, the quills on her head and neck standing up in a mixture of fear and anger. She'd already been chased off her kill today - she'd rather fight, even if the odds were heavily against her, than be chased out of her only home too. She returned the roar with a guttural snarl, spreading her forearms and displaying her claws as she placed herself between the bigger predator and Darkness. If she could she'd give him a chance to get away. She wouldn't see another raptor die in front of her if she could help it.

The sudden hostility from the raptor surprised Sand Claw but didnt sway him. Sand Claw Roared yet again circling Stealtalon growling "You surprise me raptor, I thought your kind are only brave in numbers?" the hatred Sand Claw has for raptors has been with him well over a year...

"Stick around and I'll give you another surprise," Steeltalon snarled, moving in a way that kept her between Darkness and the ceratosaur.
