"Get used to it then, 'cause we're just getting started" said Jacob simply as he neared the end of the corridor, planning to head for a stairwell he found earlier. First priority was finding any surviving staff in the facility. Considering Jenkins seemed friendly with the dinosaurs, chances were he was also against whatever other staff worked here. Thinking it through drew a relatively grim picture of the staff's situation. rogue scientist gone mad...possibly against the entire project......Perhaps....just maybe...Jenkins was behind this disaster...if that was the case....his team mates, being hired to salvage the place....were likely in much more danger than Dinosaurs could threaten them with...

Hiero looked up and wondered what said cafateria might have in stock, he immedietly got up stood at attention. "I'm ready for something to eat, I may even lose control and eat like dirty capitalists," he looked around the room with a very rare sheepish grin hoping it was amusing.

"Its all part of the job, man" Replied David, looking about the place ever so diligently. "Its funny when I look back on it all. Back on the ship, I mean. When Barnes was briefing us about the mission, he said something about shitting if he told us to. I remember thinking 'Im sure you'd be more than glad to take my ****, sir'. That was just a joke back then...I didnt think I'd be leaving the squad when we got on this damn island. Then again, I didnt think we'd be fighting dinosaurs either" He said, keeping his voice low to avoid the sounds tipping off a predator.

"Whenever your superiors are THAT secretive about the intimacies of a mission, you can bet you'll be seeing some really twisted **** while you're on the ground" said Jacob simply as he reached the main hall, scanning the area warily for risks as he moved towards a doorway leading to a stairwell...

"Im not at liberty to discuss what Ive seen in my line of work," David responded, his voice taking on a grim tone. "But I can tell you this: I was expecting to see charred corpses, heads mounted on pikes and all that ****. Not no damn giant lizards"

Jenkins tapped a button on a nearby console, and one of the doors of the security station opened. As the scientist walked out, Barnes and Dodgson followed, motioning for the rest of the mercs to do the same...

Riley quickly followed out after the others, wanting to stay to the middle of the group rather than the back or front...

Persephone also followed Jenkins and Dodgson. She reached into her pocket, to feel how much ammo she had left. She could feel 14-no, 15 bullets available for use... Persephone sighed, knowing that she would have to use what remained sparingly...

Maxwell follwoed the others, taking the rear of the group and readying his shotgun in the event of an ambush...

Jacob continued, either not wanting or not caring to react to his partner's complaints, which of the two it was not being obvious. as he reached the door, he slipped through, weapon scanning every corner of the room rapidly, NV scope showing him what little his eyes couldn't see. satisfied, he continued forward towards the stairwell. His hunches were thusfar unfounded. Jacob had never been a man to enter a situation where he didn't know the possibilities before hand. the few times he did, he made sure to investigate and find out. thus...he would search for clues hinting toward what happened here...if any remained...

Riley kept his pistol at the ready, not wanting to fall prey to any raptors in the area, or worse. "I'm runnin' low on ammo, mate," he said to Maxwell, who was right behind him, as he reloaded his gun, keeping the partially empty clip for later use...

The next pair of double doors Jenkins showed the motley crew behind him opened up into a massive mess hall. It looked fairly basic, but it was big enough to seat nearly 300 people. "Have seat, ladies and gentlemen. I'll find us some refreshments! Just don't expect anything... high of quality. This isn't a first-class flight to Cancun, you know," Jenkins said, moving towards one side of the room, where the serving aisles were located, now empty of any food...

Maxwell glances back at Riley. "Alright mate," Maxwell comments. He pulls out a spare ammo clip for the pistol. "Smuggled this myself," Maxwell says. "Don't waste it; I use a magnum, so that's all I got for a traditional pistol."

Riley takes the clip and responds to Max, "Thanks, I owe you one." The merchant took a seat at the closest table to the group and put the ammo away...

Persephone also took a seat at the nearest table. She looked around, taking note of the features of the Mess Hall while yawning. Whatever kind of food was here, she woul definitely enjoy it. Most people that knew her knew that she wasn't a picky eater...

Maxwell nods and plops himself down next to Riley. "Eh, I'm not hungry. I just need a breather..." The mercenary then slips his backpack onto the floor, and looks in it, counting the shells he has for his magnum, and the clips he has for his shotgun....

Riley checked the ammo in his pistol's current clip and holstered it, before checking the one clip of ammunition left in his AK-47. He slung it back over his shoulder moments later and took out his relatively clean combat knife...

Jenkins reemerged with a large tray, but instead of food like some of the mercs, and especially Dodgson, had suspected, it was filled with large stacks of foil-wrapped, rectangular objects. Barnes, however, recognized them immediately, and inwardly groaned. "MREs!" Jenkins said cheerfully, dropping the tray on the table with a loud clatter. "Meals, ready to eat. Shelf life of ten years, and everything you'll ever need to keep nice and healthy in the wonderful world of Project Resurrection! Eat up, ladies and gentlemen! We don't have all night, you know! We need to up and moving early tomorrow morning!"

Maxwell sees the food and gets up. He realized he hasn't eaten in a long while, and it was probably best to get some nutrition instead of starving himself until he was able to go hunt for food or perhaps find some edible plant life. He takes one of the tin foil wrapped food supply and takes back to his seat. "Well, this smells like ****, and probably TASTES like ****, but it's better then starving." He unwraps the foil, opens the box up. "Yup, my estimate seems about right. Oh well...."

Riley just groaned and grabbed one of MREs and tore off the tin foil, before smelling it. "Did one of those things piss in these?!" He thought, before slowly opening the box that contained it. He began to eat the crap that had been sitting in the box for ten years now...
