Meh, I would use the word "could" loosely.
Theoretically, yes a giant harry bipedal ape COULD exist. And there'd be no better home for it then the cascades up here in Washington. But I doubt it, to many hoaxes, to many sightings with no real proof. Bigfoots turned into the butt of a lot of jokes around here.
