Kala crossed his arms. "There aren't very many Cephians with red-tinted suits. If it was a bounty hunter, it had to have been Zakai. That *******'s been trailing me well before I stole this suit. This is just an excuse for him to try and kill me LEGALLY. It would explain why my ship crashed too..."

"You think he sabotaged it? That would also explain why he didn't want me near it. I would have seen any signs of tampering if I had a chance to investigate" Galaak remarked, piecing together what he had experienced with the new information. "This...Zakai told me you were also a bounty hunter. Is that true?" He asked after a moment of thinking back to his encounter...

"You could say that," Kala replied. "In all honestly, ever since Zakai turned on me I could never find a decent job. He has connections with a lot of higher-ups in the Primacy, and he usually got a job well before I even heard about it. It doesn't help that I'm on the run from the law now, either..."

Galaak made a strange sound in his throat, a cross between a growl and a scoff. "Bounty hunters..." He grumbled before continuing on with the discussion. "So now that I know what's on the line here, we need to plan our next course of action. Are there any other details that I should know about?"

"All I know now is that if we don't get out of here, Zakai's going to come looking for us, secrecy be d*mned," Kala replied, ignoring the jibe towards bounty hunters. "I know Zakai, and I assure you, he's more than likely brought enough military tech to flatten this city in ten seconds flat. He'll find us, one way or another, if we stay."

"There wasn't a doubt in my mind to that fact. At the same time, we cannot just leave this world. Not yet at least. I will not have him and his goons bring harm to the natives" Said Galaak, his voice suddenly becoming firm and laced with his determination to resolve the conflict at hand. He feared that a peaceful end to all this was out of the question at this point. Either Zakai ends up claiming Kala's suit through whatever means, or the unlikely duo succeed in defeating him and his allies through their own means...

Kala nodded in approval. "That's the kind of thing I like to hear. It's time to give Zakai the taste of his own medicine. Still, we're at a bit of a disadvantage. My suit is powerful, yes, but I'm far from invincible, and Zakai has the very Cephian Primacy at his beck and call. On top of all that, I don't know just how good of a fighter you are. Are you even a soldier?"

"To some degree, I am. The Ascatian high council would not allow any of its agents to leave for the farthest reaches of the galaxy alone if they couldn't defend themselves." Galaak answered, already formulating a solution to one of their problems. He could try to rally assistance from the high council, but the time it would take would give the Cephian more than enough time to cause unimaginable damage in his absence. Instead, he decided the better course of action was preventing Zakai from doing the same. To level the playing field, the two would have to cripple or outright destroy the enemy's spaceship...

"Good. Then we should at least be able to find them on even ground, infantry versus infantry." Kala tapped his helmet thoughtfully. "Of course, Zakai isn't exactly very honorable. If he had it his way, he'd bomb us all the way from orbit if he could. We'll need to be ready for anything. I don't want to know what would happen if he somehow managed to stow a Pinger in that ship..."

The sun had past the halfway point of its daily journey, it was beginning to make its way down to touch the gleaming ocean when Jake had reached his house. Exhausted and injured he came to the gate just before his garage, Jake leaned against the side of it, opening up a small console and punching in a few numbers. The two sides of the gate swung open. Almost there, Jake built up the strength to leave the post, limping further into his own property. He shuffled between the sports cars and gym equipment, opening the door into his father's work area. Reaching his Dad's lab once more. Jake instantly braced against the side of the wall, letting out a sigh as he slid down. Jake's world plunged into silence, for a single moment... silence. He wanted time, time to think about all this. Fate would not let it be so, as a familiar voice penetrated the quite atmosphere. "You shouldn't be here." came Charles' voice. Jake looked over a desk and saw the man sitting just where he saw him last time, In the corner of the room, reading a book.
"Your father will likely murder you if he finds you here." Charles said, a light-hearted smirk stretched across his face as he continued to read. Jake didn't take him to seriously, his father was a lot of things, but a murderer he was not. Regardless the ramifications would be unfavorable if he stayed. "What do you suppose I do?" Jake asked, his voice course, stress showing through his tough exterior. "I can't just huddle up in a dumpster for the rest of my life! I didn't do anything anyways!" Charles remained calm, probably what infuriated Jake the most. "Innocent men don't run. If you hadn't done anything you wouldn't have evaded medical help to get back here and hide." Jake fell silent for a moment, the fact Charles didn't ask about the specifics on how Jake escaped almost implied he already knew. "It doesn't matter now Jake, We both know Gerald, we both know that no amount of reasoning will have him convinced you didn't just blow up his life's work." Charles had moved up off his stool and was now looking at Jake in the eye. "and look at you now... I wouldn't be convinced either." Jake gave what he thought was a puzzled look. "What do you mean look at me now?" he asked eyeing Charles. The older man gave a perplexed look for a second. "I had thought you'd be aware by now... It's been hours since the incident." He searched through an assortments of tools and doo-dads on Gerald's desk before picking up a metal tray and facing it at Jake, the metal was clean enough to give a good reflection.
For a minute Jake didn't believe what he saw, maybe he was looking at it wrong? He leaned in for a closer look, still not understanding what he was looking at. He then pushed himself up and onto his feet, grabbing the tray from Charles and looking at it straight on. Nothing... he saw nothing, his face was void of eyes, nose, mouth, everything. It was just flat, like he had a skin tone mask stretched over it. He looked to Charles then back to the tray. Charles gripped his shoulder, "Come Jake, let's get you some place safer." Jake placed the tray back on the table following Charles to his car. On their way out he grabbed a hat off the table, a round gentleman's hat, sort of what you would expect the private eye's of noir to wear. He fitted it to his head, casting a shadow over his face to further mask his identity.
Well James Bond Chinchilla and Monsta Pacman gets old after a year or so of absence. >_> Methinks I'll leave this blank until I come up with something to put here.

"You will tell me what a Pinger is this instant, Kala. If we are to stand a chance I need to know everything you do in detail" Galaak replied, his gruff voice suddenly having an urgent tone as before in his conversation with Zakai, when he thought Kala was the major threat...

"...tell me, does your kind have mechs, or walkers, or whatever you wish to call them?" Kala asked, crossing his arms impatiently. As far as he knew, it didn't really matter whether or not Galaak knew what a Pinger was. They would more than likely need his ship to bring the thing down anyway...

As max and his friends departed, matt leaned over to ask him something.

"You seemed uncomfortable when you came back. What happened?"

"I don't know, to be honest," Max said in reply. "There was this weirdo whispering in the bathroom-"

"Wait wait wait- there was a guy whispering in the bathroom?" Matt was both creeped out and curious at the same time.

"Yeah, he was talking about.... something.... returning. I don't know what it was he spoke of, but he seemed thoroughly disturbed," Max said, almost hissing as he spoke.

"Probably just some insane dude. Nothin' to special," Matt replied.

"Yeah..." Max whispered. He soon said his buddies to his friends before he headed back to the bus stop home....

Aya burst into the Chief's office, ignoring everyone else at the moment, speaking only to the man there.

"Sir," Aya said, "I have disturbing news to share with you."

The Chief raised his eyebrows, for he was busy talking to one of the other officers. The officer began to leave, looknig angrily at Aya before leaving.

"Yes? I'm very busy you know."

"Sir, it has come to my attention that Lynch plans on moving out soon." Aya seemed anxious.

"Oh really?" The Chief said. "And just when does your little nemesis plan on moving out?"

Aya ignored the low blow and continued speaking. "I do not know. But definitely within the next few days."

"That's not all that useful, Aya," the chief growled irritably. "Where is he headed?"

"The Central Los Diamantes Bank," Aya replied. "If he manages to get in there, he'll murder dozens."

The Chief stroked his chin and nodded. "Alright. I'll send more men to reinforce the bank today. But just know- if there's a call, you're going in."

"I was hoping you'd say that," Aya replied menacingly.

"Ascatians had no need for such things, given our aquatic origin" Galaak answered simply, already having a feeling of what it was he would be up against if Zakai did have a Pinger with him...

"Either way, that's a Pinger in a nutshell," Kala said. "A walker. A tripodal walker with a personal EMP emitter that could cut off the power in half this city, but still just a walker. Just make sure you bring your ship if it comes to that..."

"I see. Well then, I believe now is the time for us to strike first. Our first target should be their vessel with the goal of rendering them unable to leave this planet and to destroy resources that could shift the balance of power in our favor." Galaak replied. "Is there anything you can tell me about it? Strengths, weaknesses, standard Cephian features?"

Tiffany sighed as she looked down at her watch. Past noon already? I guess I got some sleep after all. The scientist grumbled in her mind as she finished jotting down notes. She had asked Minene a few other questions, just things she wanted to know for certain. However, there were still a few more questions she wanted to ask her, in order to understand her full potential...

"So tell me, what other abilities do you have beside your regenerative powers?" The scientist asked, before leaning in close. "Can you, perhaps, change gender depending on water temperature around you? Or can you fly around and zap things with electricity, or maybe you can use incredible demonic powers..."

Minene shifted her glance up from the floor and into Tiffany's pondering eyes. " No. I can't do any of those things... but I can do this." She quietly replied. at that moment, Tiffany suddenly felt several hands grab her on her shoulders and arms. She looked around, but saw nothing... or was there nothing? She squinted her eyes, almost unaware that she was now hovering several feet off the ground. As she starred hard, she began to notice the very faint lines of what appeared to be arms extending from behind Minene. Slowly, the scientist's mouth opened wide in shock as she realized just what she was looking at. she tried to say something, but all that came from her mouth were brief stutterings, even as Minene lowered Tiffany back down into her seat. "Aside from healing up my injuries, I can also bring these 4 invisible arms... They're quite strong, stronger than they look..." Minene murmured, just loud enough for Tiffany to barely hear. The scientist continued to gasp, before finally snapping out of it. instantly, she began to jot down even more notes down. This was going beyond her field of science... this was downright unbelievable... perhaps... perhaps this is the next stange of evolution, right infront of me! Tiffany's mind raced...

a blur shot past Atlas' car and into an alleyway as screams and car horns blared behind him, the man having been forced to stop to avoid hitting whatever it was that had moved like that. Atlas pulled his shades down the bridge of his nose, somewhat surprised at the sight, the man checking his watch. 2 PM. still had time. the man parked at the side of the road, getting out of his car, a beep coming from it as it automatically shut down, the engine turning off and the doors locking, mirrors closing to avoid risk of damage from a close-passing car. he walked towards the alleyway carefully. Just what exactly was that? he thought. the sight of the suspicious child in the alleyway looking around tipped him off however. A mutant? my my...seems I have competition thought the man as he reached into his suit jacket pocket, pulling out his wallet, feigning distraction, pulling a 5 dollar note from within before putting the wallet back into his inside pocket, rolling the dollar in his right palm as he put a hand in the left pocket of his pants, walking towards the alleyway carefully, trying to avoid being spotted, slipping into the crowd of people walking back and forth past the alleyway...

Moving at a brisk pace, the man caught up with the boy, squeezing the 5 dollar bill against the kid's chest, saying quietly in his ear as he passed "If that was what I think it was, I think you'd better get something to drink. preferably water"...
