After one last wall split apart, the two arrived in the Ascatian's work shop of sorts. Again, lines along the walls parted, revealing all sorts of parts and devices awaiting assembly. Galaak walked over to the lone table in the center of the room and flipped up a small plate. Underneath was a small port of sorts, waiting for a connection to be plugged in. Galaak pressed his hand over his wrist device and squeezed it from the top and bottom. A soft beep marked its release of the Ascatian, the nano-tech suit sliding down to cover the exposed area of his arm. Galaak placed the device on the port, which triggered a large projection from the machine. Various blueprints were displayed in a green projection, their outlines shown by bright white beams, various Ascatian text scattered about the illustrations. By waving his hand over the wrist device, Galaak cycled through the designs, looking for one that would best fit his needs. Afterwards, he would need to build it...

Kala crossed his arms and watched patiently, not bothering to ask any questions. He'd find out what was going on soon enough...

Wrapping up on the questions, Tiffany leaned in close again. She had a few more questions she wanted to ask, but, due to how tired she was, and most likely Minene as well was probably tired, she would only ask one more question... but in such a way that she hoped to get all the answers she wanted as if she had asked the questions she wanted. "Tell me, Minene, just when did you get such unique powers? DId you have them from childhood, or did something happen to you-" The scientist immediately stopped when she saw Minene look down toward the floor, as if trying to hide something. However, if she had seen what she had thought she had saw, then perhaps... she had hit just the right button...

"My powers?" Minene sobbed, tears beginning to streak down to the ground, confirming the scientist's theory. She hesitated, before continuing, " My powers emerged... when I saw my family get killed.. It was 6 years ago... Me and my family... were sitting down to dinner, when he heard the front door being broken down...Before we could react, 7 men who called themselves the 7 Sins of Purgatory entered into the room, each of them with guns, and ordered us to kiss the ground while they ransacked the house..."

Here, she paused as Tiffany let out a sigh while rubbing her forehead, knowing what she was going to say next. She should have known. She had heard of the 7 Sins of Purgatory before, and for good reason. They were a ruthless gang of crooks, believed to be comprised by 7 members, each named after one of the deadly sins of purgatory. While other gangs in Los Diamentes may have been larger and more efficient, none were as ruthless and downright nasty as the 7 Sins. She had heard stoiroes of them breaking into banks and homes in other cities, and leaving no one alive, killing anyone who might have witnessed such robberies in the most grotesque and inhumaine ways. However, in th elast few years, reports of them have dwindled down, and there hadn't been any reports of them at all in the last couple months. Somehow, she knew that Minene here was connected to the decreasing activities of the 7 Sins... and she was about to find out how...

The creature charged on, driven by adrenaline and fear to flee from its prison as fast as possible, sticking to the alleys to avoid any would-be pursuers. It would need to eat soon, as its captors forced them to live off as less food as possible, but it was driven by instinct, by self preservation. As it passed behind various buildings in the vast city, lights around it dimmed slightly, though had the animal been focusing, they would've went out all together. It could feel this energy seeping into its form, and it felt...good. It was an urge not unlike the urge to feed, and although it had not even been a day since it appeared, the urge felt natural. But now...it needed to run...for how long, it didn't know, nor did it care...

With his basic design chosen, Galaak was quick to get to work, the layout displayed over the table where he would work. The floor to the left and right of the Ascatian folded away and out from the compartments came extensions to his work space. Two more chrome benches were hoisted up by black piston constructs. From the ceiling, several mechanical arms slid into place, picking up necessary parts from the shelves lining the room's walls. All of a sudden the place was filled with sounds, whirring and humming, clicking and ratcheting as basic machinery were assembled before being transported over to the work bench. A black box was delivered to Galaak from directly overhead, the metallic clam then rising back into the interior of the craft. After opening the box, Galaak removed a multitude of strange instruments and tools, calibrating them to fit the task at hand.

Panels on the side walls swung open and two long, thin metal poles extended out from them. The ends of the poles folded back to make right angles parallel to the floor and each other before several clicks and snaps were heard. A broad beam of light formed split seconds later with a quiet high pitched whine, akin to that of a Gravity Manipulator. Traveling along the beams were sheets of metal, struts and various wiring, things that would make up the droid's chassis and internal workings. The components were transported to the table, where mechanical arms picked them up and prepared them for construction...

several hours later, the navy blue metallic Estoque pulled up outside the nightclub, a blue LED phoenix over the entrance as Atlas got out of the vehicle, clad in a black suit, a dark red silk shirt underneath, top two buttons undone, lacking the excessively formal tie. tossing the keys to the valet, he walked into the club, the thumping of music audible beyond the doors of the building. as he stepped into the darkness, he eyed the dance floor, lights streaking across the walls and floor as Celldweller's 'Own Little World' blared through the speakers, the man taking a seat on the last stool on the left, calling over the bartender. "Blended Scotch, if you don't mind" he said, pushing forward a 5 dollar bill, the man nodding, soon producing a glass of the golden liquid for Atlas, who began to sip slowly, thinking over the information he had gathered on Lydia Harman...

A few minutes before seven, Lydia stepped out her car outside the club. She closed the door and locked up her car, then made her way inside and approached the bar. She stuck her hand in her pocket, palming the dollar coins she'd brought along. "I'd like a chilled sherry," she said with a small smile, acting the average citizen as she sat down a few seats away from the last stool on the left hand side, counting out a few of the coins and laying them on the bar. The wine would really hit the spot right now...out of the corner of her eye she noted a man already occupied the specified seat. The person who left her the letter? maybe. Looked like it was time to find out.

The bartender nodded as he dragged the two coins back along the table, nodding to the man at the end of the bar as he moved to get the drink, drawing a bottle and filling the wine glass, passing it back to the lady before getting back to work. "Was honestly wondering whether or not you'd accept the invitation" said the man at the end of the bar as he leaned back slightly in his stool, the corner of the bar meeting with the wall, allowing Atlas to lean against it once he'd twisted...

Tiffany stared up at the ceiling as she laid in her bed. It had been several hours since she had finished questioning Minene, and after hearing her story, Tiffany had let her stay here, giving her the guest bedroom down on the main floor to sleep in. She had told Minene that from now on, she would be living here, and with a tad bit of reluctance, the girl had agreed to that. Thinking back on that, Tiffany know that was a smart move on her part. For one, now she had a test subject to try msot of her inventions out on. Sure, a few had been patented and released into the general public, like family fire-proof clothing, and more safe bikes and helmets, but there were a few others that she wanted to be patented and released, but due to their nature, she hadn't been able to do much testing beyond the experimental stage. Also, now Minene had a place to live at, to call home. No longer would she have to beg for food to survive and use her vectors, as Tiffany had decided to call Minene's invisible hands, to obtain clothing. Now, however, Tiffany was trying to get to sleep. but she couldn't, for her mind was still drifting back to Minene's story... and what had happened to her family...

Lydia didn't respond right away, giving her drink a gentle swirl before taking a sip. Her brown eyes flicked toward the speaker, then focused on the contents of her glass as she traced the rim with her little finger. "Well, you did a good job of arousing my curiosity," she replied. "And left me with more questions than answers."

"Ah, but isn't that what life's about in the first place?" asked Atlas as he held is drink, continuing. "Millions of questions, and no answers. It's what keeps people like you and I constantly at work. To find the answers to those questions" said the man, taking another sip from his glass before setting it down...

The brunette inclined her head, acknowledging the point. "True. I think however, you'll be able to answer at least a few of the ones I have for you." She took another sip of wine, letting the flavor linger on her tongue before she swallowed.

Atlas chuckled as the girl spoke. "That, my dear, will depend on the questions. But please, do tell" said Atlas as he gestured for her to move closer. afterall, with so many willing ears in this place, the Bartender's included, it would make discussing what she wanted to discuss risky...

Lydia nodded and moved down a few seats, putting her right next to him. "Why don't we start with the basics," she said, giving her drink another swirl. "Such as, what's your name? Or..." she felt the corner of her mouth twitch into a smirk. "Is it a secret?"

The man chuckled amusedly. "Hardly" he responded as he got comfortable, back against the wall and an arm on the bar, his glass of scotch in hand. "The name's Atlas Stone" he answered. "So now we're on....ALMOST even terms. I know your name, you know mine...a question answered. But I'm assuming that's probably one of the smallest questions you have for me at the moment, correct?"...

The Ascatian was hard at work now, his nano-tech suit stored in the command module on his wrist. In its place were the explorer's working gear, large black gloves that extended well past his wrists and headed up his arms. A thin white coat protected the rest of his body, completely covering his neck, the rest of arms and then draping down to conceal his legs. Only the tips of his footwear were visible sticking out from the front. His eyes were hidden behind large ovular goggles that made the black pools seem like they were glowing when the light hit them. In front of him, the robot was taking shape. Various mechanisms, cables and panels were laid out on the table, while suspended by mechanized arms was the droid's body. Its basic frame was having bits of metal plate welded on as Galaak pieced together the smaller parts. Thin glowing lines marked the creation as a thin robotic arm fabricated its outer shell, its tip bright white as it moved across the metal surface, a hissing noise permeating within the room as the seam cooled. In a matter of hours of nonstop work, the robot was in the final stages of its construction, completion nearing ever closer with each passing minute...

"More than likely you're right," Lydia replied, turning to face Atlas as she tucked a lock of brown hair behind her ear. absently, she wished she'd thought to tie it back before she left; it was at the length where it was beginning to get annoying and was usually falling into her face. She sipped her sherry again. "Now for a bigger one..." She leaned forward a bit, raising one eyebrow, and lowered her voice. "How is it, exactly, that you learned of my work, Mr. Stone?"

After thinking over her words carefully, Minene continued on. "The crooks took apart everything we had. Our TV, our desks, our drawers, our rooms...a nything that could potentially be used to house jewels was taken apart and inspected. Nothing was left untouched by them. Once they had finished collecting everything valuable we had and put them into a larg blue truck, including our cell phones... they... they..." Here, the redhead urst completely into tears sobbing almsot uncontrollably. Tiffany handed her a tissue, which she used to wipe the never ending stream of tears from her face. "They... they began to kill us, one by one, by bashing our heads open with a large baseball bat. First my father... then my brothers... I was helpless to stop them... But when they began to beat up my mother... the next thing I remembered, was standing amongst the corpses of 4 of their members, blood dripping from my invisible hands... That... was when my powers..." Here, she burst into tears once more, weeping uncontrollably.

As she watched this, Tiffany felt something stir within her. It was an emotion of pity, of sorrow, and it stung her greatly. She moved over to Minene's side, and began to comfort her, while the shorter girl continued to weep, missing her dead family greatly...

Tiffany groaned as she continued to lay in bed, desperately trying to fall asleep. After that little incident, it had taken about half an hour to calm Minene down enough to make her tell the rest of the story. Apparently, after she had killed off 4 of the 7 Sins and caused the other 3 to flee, she had taken off after them, determined to kill the bast*rds for what they had done. and it was only this morning that she had run into them again after 6 years. And it was from that run in that had given her those injuries.

Thinking back over it now, the scientist remembered hearing about this incident back when it had occured. Apparently, a neighbor had heard gunshots in the house, and had called the police. When the police arrived, what they had found was a complete bloody mess, one which confounded them even to this day. The scientist smirked as she finally drifted off to sleep. Atleast, she now knew what had happened on that day...

Atlas smirked as he heard the question the girl asked next. "Like any self-respecting freelancer, I have my sources. Don't worry though. Nobody else knows. Your work is still very much a secret" said the man. reaching into his pocket, he drew another 5 dollar bill, pushing it towards the bartender as he downed the last of his scotch in one swift gulp. "In the mood for something light...Got iced tea?" he called over to the Bartender as the large, bald man approached. "Yeah. flavour?" he asked. "Lemon'll do just fine" he said, the Bartender nodding, moving away, the clatter of ice being heard, the man soon returning with a tall glass of iced tea, a single slice of lemon perched on the brim of the glass. "cheers, mate" he said, the bartender nodding as he pushed back the change, getting back to his work...

Lydia cocked her head, considering. "How can I be sure of that?" she asked slowly, giving Atlas a searching look. "How can I be sure you won't let slip to anyone - and that, as you said, we can both benefit from this meeting?"
