As the suit's chest plate and neck armor closed around Kala, it reactivated, running an automated self-diagnostic before allowing the Cephian full use of the suit's functions. After a few seconds of deeming itself in prime condition, the suit came to life, allowing Kala to move towards the entrance of his new quarters, tapping a couple controls to open the exit and head out into the ship proper...

By now, Galaak was sitting back in his seat at the ship's controls, sorting through the data shown by the array of computers in front of him. Intercepted television signals played on mute on a few monitors, morning news networks, paid programming, commercials and talk shows. The audio was being transcribed by the ship's translator, creating a procedural databank of the languages present. The Ascatian himself found himself assessing the level of technical advancement of humanity through the information E-doch gathered. From the earliest major scientific discoveries, from Newton to Einstein, to the early stages of mankind's journey into space. Given sufficient time, at least one major nation on the world would unlock the key to interstellar travel, and perhaps find themselves in league with the Galactic Council. The time when first, formal was made would be the time Galactic Sector 13 lost its designation of backwater territory. There was, indeed, advanced forms of intelligent life hidden amidst the expanse of stars...

Kala stepped into the corridor, looking back and forth. "I guess I should've asked Galaak how to actually find my way around here without his help," the Cephian muttered. "Who's idea was it to HIDE all the doors anyway?"

Dr. Craven tapped the wall with the back of his elbow. upon impact, the wall seemed to shake abit, before a section of it opened up, allowing him access. The mad scientist entered into the opening, which closed behind him. Now, he was thinknig more on the 3 gang members he had meet last night. As it turned out, each of them had their code named after a particular sin. The mutant one of the group was named Wrath, the shortest one was Greed, and the middle one was Pride. Each one was named after whatever sin they conveyed the most. As for Wrath himself, Dr. Craven had been able to guess his real name because his appearance was more or less identicle to a demon of the name name in an old book he had read, a book that dated back hundreds of years. Small world, the middle-aged man thought to himself as he went through the standard security he had set up. First was the eye scan that was set up infront of a blast-proof steel door. It was a massive door that could withstand anything the police might be able to throw against it. The only way in was if the eye scan recognized him, or if he, while inside the place, overrode the commands for the door and opened it manually for others to come in. Not that he'd do that. He cared only for himself...

The door to Minene's room slowly opened up, and Tiffany crept inside, a small needle in her hand. She looked over at the sleeping girl, who was snoring away on her back, her arms held out to the side. Perfect. THat's just what she needed. The scientist moved in quietly, not wanting to wake her up. All she needed was some blood from her, and she'd be able to do what she needed... if she could avoid waking her up. Thankfully, the needle she had was thin and sharp enough that it would barely be felt...

A dull beeping sounded off, drawing Galaak's attention away from his studies. A notification of Kala's energy signature outside of the chamber was sent to the pilot. Due to the fact that only an Ascatian was supposed to be roaming the ship, E-doch assumed the unattended Kala was an intruder. Further action would need to Galaak's authorization, and it was a good thing too. Had the ship's defenses had been active, Kala would have found himself locked in a sector of the ship with the Gravity Manipulators increasing their pull on the Cephian, overwhelming his augmented strength and leaving him at the mercy of the many robotic limbs that would have gotten to work dismantling his suit, each mounted with a wide array of tools. After Galaak entered a command, the doorways leading up to the cockpit were opened...

Kala, spotting the doors open, called out to seemingly no one, "Thanks, Galaak." He strode through the various doorways, taking his time to examine the ship's fluid architecture. While Cephian tech occasionally had a similar design, particularly in their suits, most tech, especially military hardware, was, to put it lightly, ugly. Of course, as long as something did its job, the Cephian Primacy could care less what it looked like...

After his brief overview of humanity's scientific capability, Galaak went back to sorting and assigning names to the various bio-signatures that his ship accumulated. When over the city, different bird species, dogs and cats and so on were recorded by the Ascatian vessel, adding to the archived collection of creatures living the marsh...

Aya soon reaches the police station and exits her squad car. She still had the same sudoku game from yesterday, since she hadn't gotten to finish. She sat in the corner of the station, playing her game, before she drifted off into slumber....

Mortum felt the walls of his prison cell, before running his hand along the door. He checked out the peep hole to see if there were any guards nearby. Since he hadn't changed out of his knightly form, he still retained his strength and agility, but he knew the sun was coming up fast. He would be unable to use his magic, and he knew they had confiscated his weapons, so he'd need to find them...

Jackson and his men continued on their way. Jackson grew anxious. Who was this man who had called them? Why did he want him to come to this park? Even knowing he'd get paid, Jackson was understandibly nervous...

Kala stepped into the cockpit of the ship, looking over what Galaak was doing. "Busy as usual, I see..." he muttered...

"There is hardly a dull moment in my line of work" said the Ascatian without looking away from the screens. He was looking into the issue of abnormal human capabilities, trying to get a better grasp on the matter. His results were less than satisfactory. It seemed that the native populous didn't have much of a record of this phenomenon and others-if any- like the metal adorned fighter did well to keep themselves anonymous. The mystery appealed to an investigative spirit nurtured by the pursuit of discovery, but observation and study was all that Galaak intended to do. After what happened before, he could only hope there was nothing else that could befall this world that would need his direct intervention...

Kevin went down the staircase, stopping to look at his book bag. Rather than tossed aside as it was before, it was bracing against the wall, seemingly emptied of its contents. Just as the boy started thinking of his father, Archie called out from the kitchen "Are you positive that you're fine Kevin?"
"Morning to you too, dad" Kevin replied.
"Sorry" Archie said as he stepped into the living room, fully dressed in his work suit. "It's just, when I came home last night and found you dozed off still wearing your old clothes..."
"I guess I was more tired than I thought. I'm fine, really" Kevin lied, feeling a slight quivering in his left leg. "Worst. Timing. Ever" He thought as he feigned a smile. He desperately wanted an excuse to run back up the stairs and hide behind the closed door to his room. "I guess dragging someone through the aftermath of disaster takes a lot of energy, huh son?" Archie said, stepping up to the boy and running a hand through his hair. "Didn't mention how proud I am of you for doing that. Not much kids your age have friends like that"
"Well...you raised me...well!" Kevin struggled to say, feeling his energy welling up from within. Archie raised an eyebrow at him and said "Well, if you're certain you're alright-"
"Positive!" Kevin assured.
"-Then I've got to get going. Something happened last night and now traffic's a monster" With that, the senior Anderson opened the front door and stepped out into the sunshine. Kevin peeked out from the door frame and watched his father walk down the path and get in his car. "I hope that 'something' wasn't a kid with freakish speed..." he mumbled before closing the door

"I can tell," Kala replied. "Considering what happened to that human city... For primitive mammals, they're pretty resilient if they're still going after something like that."

"Resilience in numbers" Galaak corrected. He was not one that needed to be reminded of the frailty of life, yet he had to witness the slaying of innocence as a means to an end. Their ordeal was over quickly, not even the most hardy of them would have stood a chance. Just moments before they were going about their business as they always would, then in an instant the havoc ensued. In the aftermath lay destruction, business that remains unfinished, things left unsaid and broken families. Indeed, it seemed humanity's greatest asset aside from intelligence was the sheer number that remained alive

The world seemed very surreal all of a sudden. The walls of the station, while still the same shape, were now insane colors and seemed to distort every couple of seconds, almost like someone is mixing them in a blender. The hallways seemed to stretch on forever, leaving Aya to wander about, dazed and confused. Why did this seem all so familiar? It was almost like Deja Vu. Suddenly, she heard a voice, that sounded very distressed.

"Oh, no...." Aya began to head towards the voice, unaware of what was going on....

Sam gave a wide yawn as he stepped out of Lydia's black porsche cayenne, ruffling his unruly blonde hair. "Honestly Lydia, I wish you didn't have to wake me up so early," he complained, causing her to give him a mildly scornful look. She knew he would've been getting up in a little while anyway; that was why he was usually one of the last to clock in while she was one of the first. "Of course I did," she said, shutting the driver's side door and locking her vehicle. "We're due for a meeting." "Oh sh*t. don't tell me I forgot about another one," Sam groaned, smacking his forehead. Lydia, despite her misgivings about him, had to crack a small smile. "Not that kind of meeting. I think you'll remember this gentleman very well...." As they approached the doors, they slid open with barely a sound. Another set of doors and they were standing in the lobby. Lydia glanced around for Atlas, wondering if he was even here yet...

"Two minutes and fifty three seconds early. Not bad. Not bad" said The man as he stepped out from behind one of the two decorative pillars on either side of the entrance. "I wasn't expecting you to get here for another 15 minutes at least, what with Sam's sleeping habits and all. Or have you fixed that problem, Sammy?" he said as he eyed the man...

Sam jumped, having never expected to hear that voice here of all places. Lydia felt a small stab of satisfaction at his reaction, putting in dryly, "No. We very nearly were late." "Hey, it's not my fault I'm not a morning person!" he protested, ignoring Lydia's mutter of "no, but it is your fault you're up until three in the morning" in favor of going to greet Atlas. "Nose still in the books, Atlas?" Sam asked with a small smile.

"I suppose you have a point," Kala replied. "Still, what about the armored one? He faced down that Devastator on his own up until the pint that we blew it up. I don't think he had backup, either..."

Jackson and his lackeys soon reached their destination- Greensbrook park. It was a good sized park, and was full of people. Already. Jackson's men got out and made sure they had their sidearms concealed, before jackson himself exitted the vehicle, doing the same. They soon headed towards the center of the park, hoping the man is there....

Deciding he's waited long enough, Mortum smashes down the door, and makes a break for it. However, an alarm is heard blaring through, and he knows that the guards will be coming, so he has to get his weapons and get out fast....

As Aya continued down the eerie and nightmarish hallway, a growl came from her right side. Quickly turning and drawing her pistol (she's armed this time), she turns to the source of the noise. A beast soon flies past her head, looking almost like a bug man, before he crawls through a vent on the ceiling. Thoroughly confused at why it was there and why it didn't attack, Aya continued down the hallway. The walls soon began to become more like how they were before, with a greyish color to them. However, something is written on the walls, in what appears to be blood. Most of it is either gibberish or illegible, but some of it could be read. Aya manages to make out the words "Eve", "Adam", and "Ultimate".

"What's that got to do with anything?" Aya says to herself aloud. Suddenly, a growl was heard again, but this time it came from down the hall, and it was followed by a voice.

"Rise, my child," The voice says. It was distinctively feminine. Aya snuck around the corner and spied the events unfolding in the form of their shadows. A small, humanoid creature was visible, roughly the size of a baby, but its head seemed unnaturally large. The other shadow was of a woman.... but she wasn't holding the baby. No, the baby was floating on its own. Soon, the baby lets out a terrible cry and begins to mutate. Unable to watch it anymore, Aya turns around, only for a familiar creature to appear. It was that.... THING from her previous nightmare. The creature moans out, "AYA...." before lunging.......

"Aya!" An officer shakes the officer on the shoulder.

"AAAH!" Aya wakes up, startled. "W-what happened?"

"You fell asleep," The officer replies to her. "Now let's go. It's time for you to start your route."

Aya wipes her brow with relief. It was only a dream again... but why were they so similar?

"Of course. Afterall, those books finally paid off. I've been hired by Corporations and Governments across the world to deal with the stuff nobody else can touch. Gotta admit, the pay's worth the restless nights back in Oxford" he said with a smirk. "But enough about that. I've been itching to see what my old Oxford Genetics course collegue's been doing recently. I gather it's some really.....exotic work" he commented as he eyed Sam with a smile...

"Good to see you Mr. Jackson. Though it's not usually common for one to be 3 hours early for a meeting. Luckily, It didn't take long for me to find out you were already on your way. I adjusted my agenda accordingly, though it was a tad inconvenient" said a tall, dark skinned man as he walked out from a floral arch, the arch itself made of two hedge rows growing upwards and into eachother, forming a tunnel down one pathway in the park. The man had gaunt features, and seemed completely bald. From what could be seen, he seemed alone as he approached one of the ring of benches around the large fountain in the centre of the park. "Please take a seat, Mr. Jackson"

"I like to get things done early," Jackson replies, "Let's me be ready in case somethnig goes wrong. His two thugs nod in agreement before he sits down. The thugs stand next to him, watching the man intently, before Jackson speaks again.
