"Of course, there is still the matter of your ship. If I recall the scanner readouts correctly, there was minor hull damage, damage to the engines- nothing that can't be fixed with a bit of effort- and contaminants. I say we should make it a point to begin repairs and be finished before this world's sun sets" Galaak proposed, feeling a bit uneasy about the situation. He could tell Kala was more inclined to act as a defender of the natives, something the explorer would have fully agreed with if the situation was dire enough. However, that just wasn't the case for the moment. As a bounty hunter, Kala was probably not accustomed to times of relative peace, such as this. He might have found the inactivity downright boring. Perhaps diverting his energy to fixing his craft would help in the matter, though Galaak suspected Kala might just go off on his own once his ship can fly again...

Jackson grumbled. No doubt that others would jump on an opportunity like this. He didn't realize how many people he'd need to kidnap, and it wasn't like the LDPD wasn't already on his *** everytime a gang member of his did something. Not to mention, he planned to kidnap people while heisting the bank and doing what his men normally did, but that would be for tonight and the future.... "Tell ya what, I'll drop it down to $2,000 if you give us rations once a month." Jackson sticks out his hand. "Deal?"

The third and final obsticle between Craven and his lab was another gigantic door. However, unlike the previous two, this one wasn't just made of steel. It was also made of the same materials found in bomb shelters and bunkers. In other words, it was nearly impenetrable. Yes it had taken him quite alot of time to build it, but in the end, he was damn proud of it. To get past this door, all he needed to do was offer up a drop of blood. The scientist held his hand up to his mouth, then bit down on his thumb. He ignored the pain, as his own precious blood dripped down from his hand and onto the scanner for the door. A second passed, then the door opened up. Craven chuckled to himself as he put his hand in his pocket and walked on in. His security system was picture perfect. No one was able to get in without his help. Should anyone else try to get in and fail... well, that was that the energy turrets that lwered from the ceiling were for... But none of that mattered now. All he needed to do now, was to do his part of the dead...

Down in the white room, TIffany had moved past the second door. Past it, was a dark, wonderful place. Here, was her laboratory. It was a very large, black room with numerous pieces of machinery, a few of them weighing more than 5,000 pounds. On desks dotting the room were her inventions that had yet to be pattented and revealed, like a miniature hovercar, other models of the lasergun she had, and a secret invention she had been working on. all over the pale were large mechanical arms, used to help her build some of her inventions. Along one wall were glass cases that had black cloth coverering them, but that wasn't whre Tiffany went. She went over to a glass dome-like object that was connected to one of the large pieces of machinery...

"How long do you think that might take?" Kala asked. In the flurry of action yesterday, the Cephian had almost forgotten about his own ship. He had a way out of here now, but he wasn't too keen on leaving so quickly, and risk running into another Cephian patrol looking for him...

"I can try to activate your ship's own repair drive, assuming it has one. If not, I suppose I can loan it a fraction of E-doch's nano-repair drones. It would take a while due to the lower amount of drones..." Galaak replied, thinking back to the day cycle he was shown earlier. "A bit longer than one of this world's summer days I would guess"

"Depends on the kind of rations you're asking for. I don't think I need to clarify that is a very generic term" responded the dark skinned man as he casually gazed at the surroundings, seemingly lost in thought, though his tone easily showed he was completely alert......

"Cheapest ones you can afford. I don't give a ****," Jackson replies, a sinister smirk on his face.

"If it had a repair cycle, we wouldn't be having this conversation," Kala replied. "It's just a fairly basic shuttlecraft. I think your nano-repair drones can handle it just fine."

"I see..." Galaak said with a nod. His fingers flew across his consoles, entering commands that cleared the screens of the human based media and returned the ship's interface and readouts. The mechanical limbs manifested themselves with faint whirs and the shifting of metal plates, securing Kala to the wall as the cruiser prepared for flight.

Galaak chuckled as he strapped himself into the seat. The surface of the swampy lake rippled as E-doch lifted from the water, silently rising over the tree line and soaring to where Kala's ship was still partially embedded into the wet soil...

Kala's small ship hadn't moved, unsurprisingly, and was mostly unharmed, though now coated in mud, weeds, and filled with a generous amount of water. Not exactly in peak condition...

The crescent winged craft came to a hover over a streak of broken branches that marked the path of the downed shuttle. Galaak tapped a line of buttons to his left, the keys creating a series of barely audible beeps. The aperture on the bottom hull opened and the bright beam from the Gravity Manipulator shone down onto the shuttle. The light was brighter and more intense than before, using much more power to pull the smaller ship from its place in the mud...

It didn't take very long for the cloying mud to yield to E-doch's beam, the Cephian shuttle lifting from the ground with a short sucking noise as it escaped the suction of the mud below...

The column of light shortened as the shuttle was picked up, eventually being held mere meters underneath the Ascatian cruiser, water raining down into the pit that remained. Once the ship was retrieved, Galaak changed his heading back to the open area that the lake offered. There he would initiate the repair sequence that would bring the ship back into working order.

"Nothing that I can't handle. I've had enough experience with ship repair keeping E-doch in working order" Galaak said. The cruiser passed over the droopy treetops of the wetland, the lake already coming back into view.

"I'm guessing that the worst of the damage will be the engines," Kala said. "From what I could tell from the ship's self-diagnostic, those things are out of commission. I don't know if I'll need replacements or not..."

"I have spare parts that could possibly do the job. I'm not sure how cruiser parts would fare on a shuttle, however. As a scientist I guess its my duty to find out, hmm?" Galaak said with a smile, relishing the opportunity to test his engineering skill...
