Persephone gazed out at the Mesozoic scene, her face having a genuine smile on it. This was unbelievable! An almost perfect ecosystem! With myriads of dinosaurs that she recognized from the books she read when she was younger. "It's like a perfect world... There's Armagasaurus, Hypsilophodon, Brachiosaurus, and other creatures I would have paid millions just to see alive... it's almost... like heaven." She said as she watched them. Yes, it was like paradise here. Infact, she would gladly give up civilization altogether just to live here and research the amazing creatures that lived here...

the creatures that Jenkins created. That was a note she reminded herself as she looked out the corner of her eyes for the scientist. Yes, he was clearly insane from being isolated for so long, but still... Persephone was beginning to suspect there was something the man wasn't saying...

Hiero stared out at the large Plitera of creatures milling about, his mouth ajar. Is this the power of Science? Or the desacration of God's Domain? he wondered. Then he noticed the monstrous Gator down the bank and withdrew from the sides slightly, fear noticable on his face. Just because the boat was too big to tip or sink doesn't mean it couldn't do some damage and maybe even fling people into the water.

"Holy ****," Max said aloud. Even with the fear of nature in his heart by this point, the sheer plenthora of Dinosaurs astounded him and warmed the inner child within his heart. this was truly an accomplishment worthy of mankind. If only these ******* weren't trying to eat me, would I be able to enjoy this better... Maxwell thought. Upon noticing the Dienosuchus, he bolted up and scooted a good distance away from the edge of the boat. He hasn't been eaten yet, and has no plans to.... unless it means to protect his fellow Mercenaries. Then he'd be willing to die.

"What in the..." was all Riley muttered upon seeing the multitude of creatures. He quickly stood up and gazed at each one, seeing the beauty, yet destruction in them all...

"You and me both. Now...let's get out of here. I think I've had my fill of evil gecko-saurus skittering around rafters in the dark for one day. About time we hunted down our friends. They're a bunch of sheep, sure. But I don't think even they deserve to be killed like sheep. Not to mention I have a bone to pick with a certain mad doctor" said the man as he moved towards the computer, cutting the power supply and prying the case open, taking the Harddrives out of it, placing them in his backpack before heading for the Office door, intent on finding the good Doctor. Once this was all over, he could use the data on the harddrives as proof that Jenkins went rogue. The man could try all he liked to have the squad killed...but he had another thing coming if he thought he was getting away with this...

"Yeah, heaven..." Barnes growled. "Considering how many times we've nearly been killed, I'd say otherwise, Persephone. Now get your a** away from the edge of the boat. I don't want that gator taking a snap at anyone if I can help it." Dodgson, however, was considerably more impressed with the scene. "See what we are capable of here, Lieutenant? Sure, it's dangerous work, but these creatures are some of the mightiest to have ever walked the earth! The mere sight of a Tyrannosaurus charging down a village street would make any country surrender to us in a matter of hours! There wouldn't even be any more bloodshed, if we have anything to say about it!" Barnes turned on Dodgson with an angry glare. "And how long do you think peace would last, hm? About as long as it took for our enemies to steal a couple dinos and turn them against us! And what if they escape onto the mainland? I've already seen what they can do, and I sure as hell don't see why my superior officers would favor your opinion over mine!" Dodgson, for his part, was calm and collected. "We'll see quite soon, won't we Lieutenant Barnes?" Barnes opened his mouth to reply, then shook it off and stalked away. He didn't want to waste his time with this...

Jenkins was humming a quiet sea shanty to himself, equally excited to see his dinosaurs out and about, as they usually were in the early morning sunshine. Tapping a couple of controls at the desk in front of him, he turned a sonar screen on, currently inactive. That would be changed very soon, though. As soon as they arrived near their destination, that is...

David grunted in agreement, saying afterwards "Yeah... I'd like to give that Dino-loving son of a ***** his just deserts on behalf of the fallen!" He started chuckling as he fell into step behind Jacob. "Call it reckoning on the battlefield if you will" he added thoughtfully

Jacob made his way out of the room, heading for the entrance to the lab. as much as he enjoyed moving through vents like some kind of spy, he preferred to walk out the old fashioned way. With a bit of luck, the door would be easier to open from the inside than it was from the outside...

Persephone stepped away from the railing. Yes, they had nearl been killed by a few of these creatures, but still... The woman sighed, before she went over to the command cabin that Jenkins was in. She was curious to ask him a few questions now, mostly about the dinosaurs that were here...

The door's keypad that controlled it (essentially just a single switch to open and close the door) had been smashed to pieces, just like everything else in Lab C. Getting out would be difficult, to say the least...

Jenkins wasn't paying much attention to the outside world, focused entirely on navigating the HSV Jurassic upstream...

Persephone stopped at the door that led into the cabin. She reached her hand out, and knocked on it once, rather loudly. It was a better idea than just barging in without warning....

Jenkins jumped visibly from inside the cabin, turning to see the source of the noise. After a moment of blinking in confusion, he approached the door and slid it open. "Um, yes? Do we have a problem ALREADY? I was at least hoping we'd get to the outpost without getting too much attention..."

Persephone backed up a step. "Um, no, we don't have any problems currently... I just... wanted to ask you a few questions, if that's okay with you..." She asked, not having wanted to startle him or anything...

"Wonderful. What I wouldn't give for some extra demo-charges at the moment" he commented idly as he stared at the massive door. and with that, he headed towards the vent he had descended through, climbing back up into it to head to the Maintenence corridors. The lack of any commentary from Jenkins had more or less told him the scientist, along with anyone with him, were likely gone. Though he didn't worry much about it....he'd find them soon...There weren't too many places they could go...

Jenkins suddenly brightened. "Ah, excellent! A young inquiring mind! That's what I like to see! Come in, come in!" He quickly waved Persephone inside, closing the door behind her and going over to the controls. "Ask away, my dear!"

Persephone leaned back against a wall, making certain there were no buttons nearby. "The Dinosaurs hat inhabit this island, they ae quite amazing and diverse. You have Amargasaurus, Hypselophodon, Brachiosaurus, the crocodilian Deinosuchus, and many others that most people don't know about. Were all these animals those that you and th eother scientists wanted to create, or were you ordered to follow a set list of animals to ressurect?"

"This place doesn't need more explosions going off inside it" David replied as he jumped up and gripped the edge of the vent, hoisting himself back into the familiar, cramped tunnel. "We better not run into that ******, Clarence on the other side" He muttered suddenly as the crested saurian entered his thoughts.

"Well, when it came to carnivores, Lewis had a very specific idea of what to resurrect, as they were the ones who were going to be used by the military," Jenkins, explained, sounding slightly disgusted with the term military. "I insisted on adding herbivores to create a stable ecosystem on the island, to keep the animals completely natural in terms of behavior. We had already altered their physical attributes; we didn't need to go any further than that."

"I see." Persephone murmured, before she added on, "Were there any carnivores that you cloned that weren't on Lewis's mind? I mean, I don't really see the compies running around as army animals..."

"Well, I suppose Compsognathus and Microraptor are exceptions to the rule," Jenkins replied. "They're mostly scavengers. Part of the ecosystem as well. Saves money on disposing of dead animals, you know."
