"Well then get down here and take some. Throwing compy corpses into trees isn't exactly my forte" hissed Fatalis with a smirk. He would offer a bit of the Baryonyx, but with the way the Allosaur attacked it he was fairly sure it wouldn't be willing to part with it's meal too soon. Perhaps once it'd had it's fill however, they could go and take a bit of what remained for themselves. The Compy would do in the mean time...

a low gurgling growl rumbled through the trees opposite the direction Xanthe was coming from, eerie ice blue eyes staring out at the young Allosaurs amidst numerous pairs of yellow eyes...

"Practice makes perfect," Steeltalon teased as she landed beside the male. "You may find a use for being able to; you never know."

Xanthe paused at the treeline, thinking he heard something, then pressed on. Even if there was something out there, a pack of Allosaurs should be enough to discourage it from attacking...unless it was bigger than they were, and there was more than one of it... Pushing the thought from his mind for the moment, he approached the carcass. "An excellent job, all of you," he praised the sub-adults. "Come," he added to the rest of the pack. "No sense in standing around staring at it." He stepped forward and planted one foot on the carcass, leaning down and ripping open the gut of the sauropod with practiced ease, to get at the soft internal organs.

"Oh sure. If I ever find a purpose for hurtling Compies into trees with pinpoint precision, you'll be the first to know" growled Fatalis as he chuckled amusedly, handing the Compy over to Steeltalon as he listened for the tell-tale signs of the Allosaur's movements in the trees...

Aurora moved forward towards the kill, though was wary of her movements, not wanting to break the pecking order in the pack, even if technically she had priorty due to her intention of taking food to the youngsters...

Maloriak walked quietly through the woodland, at the same pace he normally did when hunting for prey. However, the raptor was not hunting for prey, but moving quietly because his own surroundings were quiet, quiet in contrast to the jungle he typically travelled through, which often had the sounds of birds and insects. He found the silence to be strange, with not even the calls of birds reaching his ears. If there was one good thing about this silence, it would make it that much easier for him to hear a larger Predator coming, for a place like this would certainly have alot of twigs on the ground and a careless step from a bigger creature would alert him of it's prescense...

As Bane and Renegade walked through, an unfamiliar scent lingered around the area, mingled with a more recognizable smell: blood, not yet dry. Growing more and more apprehensive, their pace quickened, the two heading somewhere east of the heart of their territory, distinguished by a few large, rocky hills, not quite big enough to be called mountains, yet sizable enough that they weren't mere knolls on the ground; on the far side of these lay some meters of forest and greenland, which then opened directly onto the coast of the island. It was an ideal location for simultaneous protection and surveillance.
They were nearing the spot where the smell of blood was strongest when Renegade stumbled over an upraised root, his shoulder hitting the tree bearing it with a dull thud.
"You okay?" Bane asked his companion, eyes narrowing as he sweeped the area around them.
"Yesss... but I shouldn't continue at this pace. Go on, I'll catch up with you," Renegade responded with a slight groan.
"What?"
"It'll be fine. Finding out what'sss happened to the rest is highessst priority right now," the raptor hissed, his expression betraying his growing sense of foreboding...

From the lonely plains, Aircrest found himself within the next patch of forest, finding it to be unnervingly quiet underneath the familiar shade of trees. "Well this isn't creepy or anything...where the hell is everything..." Aircrest thought as he moved through the undergrowth, glancing around his surroundings. His ears yearned for bird songs and calls that he had grown so used to in the jungle that they were only missed when they were gone. In their place was the sound of rushing wind through leaves, the air taking on a faint salty taste on the raptor's palate after the breeze. From that, he knew he was wandering towards the coast...

Bane continued alone, his pace quick and reckless as he made his way through the thinning woodland. As a gust of wind blew by, he stopped short just behind the trunk of a thick and old tree, raising his head to sniff the air. He could make out the scent of a raptor, not far from him. He crouched, before jumping straight up, landing slightly jarringly in his haste, and moving toward the scent he had picked up...

The uneasy raptor stopped in his tracks as, through the still air, the thundering bellow of a Tyrannosaurus boomed. The trees practically shuddered from the titan's terrifying call that shattered the silence oh so suddenly. Without hesitation, Aircrest spun on his feet and began to run back to the plains. That was no distant drone that he heard in the jungle. A T-rex was nearby and something had provoked its ire. The green raptor had no intention of sticking around to see what would transpire...

Diablo lifted his head, peaking past the narrow rock-faces that formed a passageway into his home. Light crept into the cave bouncing off each surface, it was dim but light enough that Diablo could see where he was. His stomach rumbled, but Diablo ignored it, he'd been hungry for days, this wasn't the first time he had felt it. The Rugops had almost given up hope of finding another meal, but he knew he had to try. Tiredly, the predator stretched, he craned his neck upwards glancing at his surroundings as he flexed his aching muscles. Diablo let out a long exhale before pushing himself to his feet. The first steps where stiff and awkward as he passed through the narrow hallway to the outside.
Diablo emerged on the other side, gone from a world of grays and browns and into the bright greenery of the outdoors. His eyes took a moment to adjust, his vision obscured by the bright colors before he finally adapted. He took a few steps towards the plains, There was always something there. He veered slightly away from the thundering sound of a rex call, it was close by, not terribly close, but enough that it might catch his sent.

Out from the tree line Aircrest burst, once again finding himself running for his life. He swerved around in his run, speeding down the plains and heading off to the blue horizon, his only desire being to get as far away as he can from the Tyrannosaur lingering out of sight in the trees...

Diablo approached the plains, staying by the tree line, soft shadows danced across him, his coloring camouflaging him near perfectly. If there was one thing growing up alone had taught Diablo, it was how to hide. He peered cautiously into the plains, spying a group of hadrosaurs grazing in the green grass. He took note, but had no intention of hunting something that big, given his size and current wellness, he stood no chance against a hadrosaur, however, a group of smaller dryosaurs lingered shadowed the larger herbivores. The Dryos apeared to be using them as cover, The Rugops paced the tree line, deciding his next move.

Frightened calls rang out from the small herbivores as Aircrest tore through their ranks, his green hide shooting past the grazers that had just started to run after his appearance. The lumbering giants were caught of guard by the lone carnivore's sudden appearance and were slow to react. The Dryosaurs however sped off seconds after he was spotted, though they ran frantically and haphazardly. Some ran and doubled back on themselves once they realized the raptor wasn't chasing them. If he weren't so preoccupied with the notion of a Tyrannosaur in the area, Aircrest might have appreciated the sight of other dinosaurs since he left the jungle...

As Maloriak continued to movie through the woodlands, the breeze blew in his direction and with it came the scent of a raptor. From what he could tell from the scent, it's owner was coming closer and unless the other raptor was just wandering about, then it could only have picked up his own scent. He began to move in the direction of the scent, but was cautious in case this raptor had hostile intentions. The green and brown predator stopped in his tracks when he heard the distant bellow of a Tyrannosaurus, staying in his place for several seconds before he continued on his way towards the owner of the scent...

Diablo stared in frustration as a green raptor darted across his field of view, spooking the dryosaurs and the hadrosaurs. Diablo felt a need to rush the hunt, before anything else happened, but raptors don't usually come in ones. There had to be a pack around somewhere, was this some distraction tactic? Diablo looked off to where the raptor had come from, timidly peaking his head out past the tree line. He didn't see anything, but he wasn't prepared to take on a pack of raptors, or the trex that he heard nearby either. Diablo backed back into the tree line and decided to investigate, he circled around the plains, sticking to the tree line and searching for where the raptor went, if he was wrong the herd would still be there, they graze all day if there left uninterupted.

Aircrest dipped into the edge of the forest again, nestling himself amidst ferns and bushes and hiding in the foliage. He was sure he had lost the Rex. He was sure of it, no sensible predator would favor the speedy prey over the large bounty the Hadrosaurs offered. Even if he was the giant's target, that would certainly have changed after his sprint through the herd...

Near Diablo, the faintest sounds of rustling plants could be heard that didn't correspond to the wind...

As the Rex barrelled after the Homalocephale, he could see the light surrounding him getting brighter. and just as the Homalocephale swerved to the side, Crusher noticed the trees abruptly stopped. "No...no...no no no nonononoNO" screeched the Rex as he skidded in an attempt to stop, the Homalocephale launching itself over the edge and plummeting from sight with a bugling wail, Crusher skidding off the edge behind it...

"CRAAAAAP!" Roared the Rex as he fell, landing on a slanting decline of soft dirt, the occasional tree rising out of the ground on the slant as he tumbled forward once, twice, the momentum rolling him off a rise in the slant as he, for a brief second, saw the extent of the slant, the Homalocephale tumbling below him, Crusher landing right behind him, on his feet, splaying his toes and swinging his tail to the side as he adjusted his stance, managing an awkward surf down the side of the decline before it suddenly stopped.....into a small, deep lake, a rumbling waterfall to his left, the Homalocephale landing head first into the water just ahead of him...

Renegade started as the distant roar boomed through the pinched silence, his eyes widening as its full implications hit him.
I'd better keep moving, at the least, he thought, advancing in the direction Bane had gone off to...

Meanwhile, Bane came to a sudden halt, doing an about-face at the same moment, trying to make sure he was the one doing the searching, rather than being stalked himself. With a low growl, he turned back around, launching himself at the foremost branch with surprising agility for being on the more compact side. As he progressed, judging by its scent, he was getting very close to the raptor he was seeking. As he approached its vicinity, he slowed down, remaining in the lower levels of the woodland's canopy...

Thanks to the silence in the area, Maloriak could faintly hear the sounds of the other raptor approaching, the thunds of it landing on tree branches reaching his ears. The scent was stronger than ever, revealing to him that it was now close and wouldn't be long before it reached him. He continued to head in the direction of the sounds and scent, readying himself for a possible fight...

Chomper moved off from the jungle having trouble navigating in the thick foliage and feeling a trace of hunger, scented the area for prey. Scents immediately filled his nostrils such as othnelia, ankylosaurus, parasurolophus and others but the Grey giga decided to go after a para.
