You've gotten better at curves and at shading I see. :3

That thing is the most epic creature I've seen in a while.

Oooo, that's pretty cool looking. I love how you did the plating, especially on its neck and tail. And I know I seem to say this about a lot of your drawings, but... I really do like the feet. :P

...I could probably take it down... That's it! 1 on 1! Me vs. the Warlord! SOMEONE SET UP THE ARENA, NOW!

I LOVE that design, and it's short, compact mouth gives it a more menacing look to it.

then get into GEW and start moving around. The Warlord will find you first.

I designed him as a walking weapon. just about everything about him is meant to either protect him, or hurt others. mostly the latter.

Pyro:thanks. The plating was difficult to design in places. especially around the torso. there was also a lot of details in the picture. he has a total of 4 arms, 2 wings and 2 legs, but because I didn't want to clutter the picture, I kept the left 2 arms out of the image. in the image it's because they're hanging at it's side or pulled closer to the body, out of viewing range. but from an artistic, strategic point of view, it's so the pic doesn't get so cluttered you can't see the details any more. As for the feet. yeah, I like them too. bony, poky but somehow squishy looking at the same time. Like a big fur-less cat :P

G4E: Thanks. I spent about 2 hours just working on a concept and various looks for him. this was the final result. I originally was gonna make him unarmoured, and admittedly, it looked cool. But seeing as this is a profile image for a character, I had to show it as it was gonna be. I will probably draw a close up look of the head later. It will likely make it's début in GEW within the week. possibly over the weekend if I can finish the profile in time.

HF: Care to elaborate? I just did my same old style. nothing particularly new here :P

Looks like a Tyranid Warrior.

A LOT like a Tyranid Warrior.

Which is cool.

=D

You know it was funny. when I was drawing it I was going 'be original. be original. be original. don't use anything in common media'. halfway through I was going '**** this is starting to look familiar', but I was liking where it was going so I kept at it. By the end I was kinda somewhere between a facepalm and a =D face because I realised it was looking a lot like a Nid, but at the same time had my own designs in it in such a way that it was effective.

Do I wish it didn't look so much like a Nid? yes. I'd like to, for once, draw a monster that's completely unique, with no lookalike in the media. Do I regret that it came out like it did? No. I'm pleased with the end result. Will probably tweak it a bit before I introduce the character, but for the most part, I'm pleased :P

You've got much, much smoother curves drawn in this pic than some of your earlier work. And the shading method you chose looks better than the traditional *scribble and smear". XP

lol. well, this shading is more aptly described as scribble, scribble, then scribble a bit more in dark spots XP

There's your problem bro. There are very very few things these days that are unique. Its kinda hard not to make something even a bit similar.

And a lot of the time its a good thing, like here.

Norn Queen: "Tyrannid Biomorph complete"

Kp's most likely reaction to my joke: :facepalm3:

In all seriousness despite it looking quite like a nid It is still very cool and distinct, lets hope Forge word sends you a check in return for using it as a tool to a new nid!

Damaar varient 2

Taking some advice from Doc, I tweaked Damaar's design to make him more effective.

He looks even more deadly than before. Props, KP.

Nice redesign, KP. I do like the touches you did to his armor to give him a plated look.
