Some time after the dropship was recalled, Ecliptor arrived at the comm hub, immediately noticing the remains of more Geth infantry. From the damage and scattered parts, the Seeker determined a high powered energy cannon was responsible. There were other forces at work here. He ducked down behind a line of crates outside the center construct, environment scanners activating while he peeked over the containers, spotting an armored land vehicle not too far off. He cataloged it for future reference.

Charles stepped over the corpse of the Spawn, which now had blood pouring from its head, due to the hole that had been shot into its head. He peered out of the doorway, checking for any more aliens that could be waiting for him in the halls. He decided to go to the pilot's bridge to have a decent hiding spot...

Raze walked into the kitchen, only to find a dead youngling lying on the floor. Something had killed his kin, and it appeared to have several large punctures and cuts on its body. The Spawn snarled into the air, bursting into the hallway, finding another dead youngling on the floor, which had similar wounds on its sides and neck. What could have done this? It was killing younglings and just leaving them there. Raze looked down the hall, only to see a deceased adult. Whatever was with them had been not only murdering the younglings, but had killed an adult as well. However, this one had a single wound in its forehead, which looked similar to one of the punctures on the younglings, but it was instead a large hole. Raze had to take great caution in this situation, as he too could be savagely hunted down...

Khuurava nodded as he headed towards the vehicle silently, calling behind him. "You'd be wise to keep the Geth corpses somewhere within reach. Once your superiors arrive they will probably want to study them, perhaps develop some kind of defence against them in the future" he said as he walked around the various boxes and half-walls that formed the cover the marines had used, making his way towards the vehicle, which roared to life as he approached, reacting to a signal he engaged, the panel on the side of the vehicle opening with a hiss as he leapt in, awaiting Arrak, hoping he wouldn't be long...At this point, every second was precious. There was no guarantee that a distress signal had not reached Saren already...

Arrak joined Khuurava quickly after the Marine took over. "Let's get a move on. I'd rather not keep Saren waiting," he said, hefting his Phaeston. He glanced up at the sky, spotting a distant Geth Dropship heading in the direction of the dig site. Looks like they weren't the only ones in a hurry...

"Organics. Cataloged" Ecliptor noted, updating his log. His Seeker comrades would surely marvel at the wealth of data his outings resulted in. While he was inclined to further investigate the two mercenaries, he ruled out following them in favor of the base offering the most potential reward. If he couldn't find worthwhile salvage, there was an organic inside. A lone target was an easier prospect than two.

In a flash, Ecliptor silently slunk past behind the two, entering where they exited without leaving any sign of his presence.

As soon as Arrak was in, the hatch on the side of the vehicle closed inwards, sealing itself as the vehicle roared to life, kicking up dirt as it launched itself towards the dig site , rapidly accelerating away from the facility...

The Marine, inside the central structure, was unaware of Ecliptor stalking around outside...

The road to the dig site was worn down, making it more obvious among the dusty earth...

"Wait, I think I've got something!" Kenn said suddenly, startling a zoned out Anto. "Uh, yeah, what is it?" The Quarian looked over his Omni-Tool. "The signal leads towards the Ninmah Cluster. Former Rachni space. uninhabited. Shouldn't be too hard to isolate the signal once you get there." Anto nodded, pleased. "Good. Come on, let's get it to Patriarch, and get Aria back ASAP..."

It wasn't long before Ecliptor joined the operative in the hub, using his magnetic grip to maneuver through the internal workings of rafters and platforms out of sight. It would be all too easy incapacitating the organic for transport. The only difficulty the Seeker had was deciding which approach he would take to doing so.

A sudden freezing sensation came over Aria as a bucket of cold water was dumped onto her head by a mechanical arm, which retracted with the bucket moments later. "Test complete. Valuable data about organic coma states recovered. Please proceed to the next test chamber," came the familiar voice, the Asari held in a small, dimly lit room, which led into another, much larger room almost identical to the one she had seen before.

The armoured vehicle roared down the path, covering the distance rapidly as its weapons scanned for a target, spotting the Geth dropship in the distance but being unable to strike it at this range accurately. It didn't matter though. They were only a few hundred yards away from the site at this point anyway...

Kharss meanwhile, had just finished talking down one of Aria's mercs that seemed reluctant to follow orders once he had heard that Aria was gone. The Trandoshan in question was now missing a couple of teeth, but he had resolved to listen. Others took the Trandoshan as an example, any other dissent dissolving. Patriarch may have lost to Aria, but that didn't mean he wasn't the toughest ******* left on this rock in her absence. Kharss had then returned to his spot on one of the seats in the VIP lounge, the patrons below still dancing and drinking, blissfully unaware that the balance of power had shifted...

Charles looked at the corpse leaning on the controls. This body was missing half of its left arm, which was nowhere in the room to be found. However, he found the dismembered appendage about a yard from the open vent, which for some reason was missing the grate to cover it.

"That alien that came from the ceiling... it must have came from here..." he said to himself. Suddenly, he could hear the sounds of footsteps on metal, seeming to claw its way through something...

Raze crawled through the vents, hissing and snarling, following the trail of human blood inside of the tunnel-like chutes. The alien creature screeched loudly, the sound carrying throughout the vents, giving him the attention of several different Spawn, youngling or adult. Some screeched back, and some snarled and went out of the room they were in...

Charles, too, could hear the screech. He aimed his pistol for the vent, ready to shoot at whatever came at him from it...

Anto and Kenn quickly rushed back to Afterlife, heading straight for the VIP lounge, eager to report Aria's whereabouts...

Aria started awake, shaking her head and shivering. "Oh, l-like hell I-I-I a-am!" she managed to stutter out between her chattering teeth...

As the Marine busied herself with the controls inside the structure, she noticed that the comms array was back at full power. "What the... the jamming tower shut down?" she muttered. "Hell yes! The Geth must be in full retreat! Gotta send a message to Command..."

As the Scorpio crested the next hill, Khuurava and Arrak witnessed a truly massive ship rise from the ground, definitely taking off, back into space. The ship was huge, at least 10 kilometers long, somewhat squid-shaped, and sheathed in crackling red electricity. As it rose, it released some sort of signal that sounded more like the shriek of the d*mned. Arrak clutched his head in pain as the drone tore through his skull. Indeed, everything nearby heard the signal as if it was coming inside their own heads. "Ugh, what the hell IS that?!" Arrak snarled as he shook away the migraine...

Before the marine knew what hit her, a heavy weight came crashing down on her back. In the seconds after she saw the console she was at rushing toward her as she was forced into the terminal, the impact promptly knocking her out.

Ecliptor landed a few feet away, having back flipped off of his quarry after dropping down on her. A swift incapacitation that was executed without alerting the victim until it was far too late.

Khuurava snarled furiously as the ship took off, gasping as a hand pressed against his forehead as the mind-piercing drone of the ship struck him, the Khurakra hitting the breaks, the vehicle skidding to a halt. "I don't know....But I do know we just lost Saren" snarled Khuurava as he engaged a beacon, the beacon activating his ship remotely, the Ezdelera roaring to life as it took off, a flash of energy coming from its engines as it shot across the planet's surface, approaching rapidly...

"Then let's check the dig site," Arrak said. "Might find some evidence of what he's doing or where he's going, then go from there."

The marine slumped forward without a sound, the debilitating effects of the ship's signal rendering her helpless against the Seeker. However, Ecliptor was also effected by the signal, scrambling his electronics like no other device before it...

Preventing the intrusive signal from causing any damage, Ecliptor simply shut himself down upon its detection. Immobile with only the most simple passive sensors active, the Seeker waited out the scramble's duration.

Upon reactivation, Ecliptor ran a quick diagnostic to check his hardware and software, finding himself unharmed due to his decisive reaction. He approached the terminal where marine lay at its base, his claws parting to reveal the myriad of micro-tools stored within his hands...
