Crusher soon began tracking down the scent, following it as though it were a path carved in stone, walking between trees, leaping over logs and ducking under branches, until the trees began to part, revealing the corpse of a Diplodocus, heavily damaged and with a gaping hole in its flank. Some other small predators had already swarmed the kill, hundreds of Compies visible in various places all around the corpse. A Postosuchus tore at the neck of the massive corpse hungrily, and a Raptor could be seen ripping away at it. More specifically, Fatalis. He seemed to have his back to the group however, and was apparently unaware of their presence...

Shade glared at Djinn, smirking at the Stokesosaurus's failing attempts to escape from the mud. She walked towards the panicking carnivore, carefully watching her step as she did not want to end up in a condition like his.

"You know, it's been a while since I had my last meal..." Shade growled, seeming to torture Djinn with her words...

Aircrest poked his snout out from the leaves, peering down its length to the downed sauropod. This was the most meat he'd seen in one place, and possibly the freshest meal he'd be able to scavenge before the giants were invariably drawn to it. Making sure it was safe enough to depart from his cover, the green and black raptor hopped down to the ground and speedily made his way over to the Diplodocus, practically burrowing into its underbelly with furious slashing, gnawing and clawing at its flesh.

Scar Tooth found the Abelisaur still in his territory, this aggravated the ambush hunter to no end! Roaring once more, the Carnotaur warns the intruder that if he does not leave, then he shall die! Charging forward Scar Tooth opens his jaws preparing to deliver a territorial bite to the leg, it would be his final warning...

Even with the distraction of having a new territory Thorn Jaw was still haunted by his recently awakened hidden memories. Thorn Jaw suddenly smelled something that could take his mind off of his shaken past. The scent was of death and it was recent as well, rushing off in the direction of the kill Thorn Jaw growls with anticipation. He himself was barely hungry the reason he was so interested was the scavengers that will fill their bellies with fresh meat. Thorn Jaw wondered if the Velociraptor pack in his territory will show themselves so he may observe them and discover what they are? How many there are? And who their leader is? Thorn Jaw growled with anticipation. Thorn Jaw in no time at all found the Diplodocus carcass, looking upon the recently killed Sauropod the spotted Ceratosaur could already see the abundance of scavengers swarming the carcass. Compy's were the most common but one predator that stuck out to Thorn Jaw were the two raptors he could see as he approached the dead Sauropod. Thorn Jaw soon brought himself to a stop a distance away from the carcass, he did not want to be caught completely off guard so he made sure he could make a hasty retreat if the scenario presented itself. But within moments Thorn Jaw's interest was entirely on the raptors ripping into the Diplodocus carcass, he wondered if they we're part of the pack that resided in his territory? Growling deeply the large Ceratosaur continued to watch wondering if more will reveal themselves...

Djinn still was trying to escape the mud, despite the fact that he was now up to his knees in it. Shade could easily kill him in this state, which added more and more fear and panic to Djinn's emotions. Shade's tail managed to slap him in the back of the head, launching him face-first into the mud; however, Djinn did not get his snout in the mess of dirt and water, and thus was able to escape with some effort. The Carcha snickered in amusement as she snorted, baring her teeth at the smaller predator...

Paradox roared at the oncoming Carnotaurus, dashing out of its path; although his nose picked up the scent of a more deceased odor. Paradox was losing his focus, now attempting to escape, running for the dead sauropod...

Cirrus jumped in to eat as well, digging into his half of their meal and giving the younger male a congratulatory nudge, chirping excitedly, all hostility over the compy forgotten in the face of food. Alira crept closer to try a bite as well, the little female giving a squeak of surprise as the compy shifted. Thinking it might still be alive, she stuck her head under its neck and tossed it upward, watching it drop limply. Satisfied, she moved back to her brother's side and dared a nip at the creature's intestines. A short distance away, Savarna watched with pride as the youngsters showed their true colors. Given the opportunity to grow to adulthood, Blade, Cirrus and Alira would make great hunters.

Steeltalon edged forward more cautiously than the green raptor, noting the presence of other predators. She'd relaxed marginally when she recognized Fatalis after a moment, but the postosuchus was still a threat. Hopefully the massive carcass would keep its attention from them. As she put Silver down the hatchling bounded forward to eat with nearly as much gusto as the other raptor, as if it had been some time since her last meal. Steeltalon herself crouched to make herself as inconspicuous as possible - a habit she'd picked up a while back - and started eating with quick, neat bites. She'd never tasted sauropod before, and finding it to her liking, she couldn't help but give a soft, satisfied purring growl.

Thorn Jaw now could make out four raptors feeding off the carcass, even still the Ceratosaur could not make any assumptions. Keeping his distance Thorn Jaw continues his wide arch around the dead giant he wanted to know if there were any hidden raptors. Realizing that the two new raptors were the only ones arriving at the moment Thorn Jaw decided to take a share of the Sauropod. Puffing himself up to his full height, Thorn Jaw makes his way to the body cavity of the Diplodocus carcass looking to see if their were any organs left to take. He wasn't to hungry, but he really could go for some liver. Seeing the Postosuchus made Thorn Jaw snarl, the reptiles always made him a little bit more cautious around carrion. Roaring at the Postosuchus Thorn Jaw hopes his superior size and strength will deter the reptile from fighting him and in the process scare off the raptors. Thorn Jaw does not wish to start a blood feud between himself and a pack of raptors that don't reside in his territory. But the large Ceratosaur will not tolerate any form of violence from these smaller carnivores if they choose to defend the carcass from him. Turning away from the Postosuchus, and keeping one wary eye on the raptors Thorn Jaw sticks his snout and most of his head into the carcass searching for the most delicious organs...

Scar Tooth roared as he gave chase to the intruder! He would not tolerate such acts as intruding and even stealing his hard earned kill, no Scar Tooth was out to make a point. For an ambush hunter Scar Tooth was quite fast covering the distance between him and Paradox in little more than five seconds. Roaring loudly the Carnotaur lunges forward preparing to rip into the intruder...

Aircrest raised a bloodied snout to look over the hulking dead, lips curled. For so long his meals barely sustained him, his constant activity burning off what ever energy he gained from eating. He was only a few pounds away from having his ribs show through his sides. He already had distaste for the large creatures on the island and this Ceratosaur only provoked him. He had stared a full grown Allosaur in the eyes, defied a Tyrannosaur and survived countless other threats. This newcomer was just another display of adversity of life on Isla Sorna, but rather than run away the raptor was willing to stand his ground for once. The weapons that allowed him to take down prey would allow him to lash out against what he disliked for so long.

Thorn Jaw soon retrieved a large hunk of flesh out from inside the recently killed Sauropod. Taking his blood covered head out of the large meat mound the spotted Ceratosaur stared at the green and black raptor before him with disgust and mild agitation. But keeping to his thoughts Thorn Jaw did not attack for he was defensive by nature and does not wish for any unnecessary wounds to himself. Biting into the hunk of flesh Thorn Jaw continues to stare at the raptor as he eats, as well as the other raptors making sure they are not planning any surprise attacks...

Crusher wasn't nearly as shy as Steeltalon, the young Tyrannosaur leaping onto the Sauropod's flank, tearing into the gaping hole in its rib cage with a feral snarl as he dug ferociously into the vital organs, aiming for the heart, liver or other notably nutritious parts of it. A starving Tyrannosaur was not something to start a conflict with, and one so brave as to ignore the presence of a larger predator nearby would obviously be a source of worry. The scent of blood and decay from the herbivore was so strong that there was no telling if the Rex was alone or simply the first of a pride of larger Tyrannosaurs closing on the location...

Fatalis, while feeding, noted the gradual increase in predators. First the green Raptor, then the Ceratosaur, and now, surprisingly, Steeltalon and a chick, along with a young Rex. "Ah, Steeltalon. Was wondering when I'd run into you again. Any news on Riptide and his pack? Lack of leads and a lack of a general location's kept me from finding them, unfortunately"...

The Postosuchus gave a gurgling snarl towards the Ceratosaur, eyes narrowed as it continued to feed off the neck flesh of the herbivore. It was an older male, just past its prime, having the experience of an elder, and the strength of a younger animal. It knew its chances, and it knew this was the most chance it had of getting a decent meal within the remaining hours of the day. It would not back down from such an opportunity from a relatively minor threat. There was plenty of food around to feed them all. To risk injury over greed when larger predators would soon arrive was foolish. The sight of the young Rex however worried it. With the smell of the kill, it couldn't differentiate the Rex's smell itself amidst the others, let alone whether or not other Rexes' scents were also mixed in with its own. If the latter were truly the case, he would have to quick. A large pride of Rexes was enough to claim any kill, and kill any opposition...

Aircrest, more than irked at this point, pulled himself back from the Diplodocus and then jumped onto its side, his green and black hide dripping red with the sauropod's blood. He glared into the Ceratosaur's eyes. It was in no way deserving of its arrogance, a wide variety of creatures on the island could bite it in two with minimal effort. Aircrest would not have it try to intimidate him when it would surely run from the first Spinosaurus or Giganotosaur to emerge from the treeline. In fact, his lips curved into a smirk. How would it feel that that a lone raptor dared to challenge it? Compared to stealing food from a bull Tyrannosaur, this was nothing for Aircrest. He felt a twinge of fear, but his growing ire willed him to show the Ceratosaur that its size was void in this situation.

Steeltalon paused to swallow, having been caught with a mouthful of food, before she growled quietly, "Most of them were killed not long ago...One of Riptide's sons dragged me back to their cave and I would've been killed without hesitation, had Crusher not shown up." She nodded to the young Rex and licked her lips to clean them of blood, taking in the newly arrived Ceratosaur with a suspicious glance. It was an arrogant creature, considering there were several species bigger and more dangerous around. Being in such close proximity to it while wounded made her shoulders tense a bit, in case she should need to act, as she went on, "Riptide is dead...I don't know what became of the few that managed to escape."

"Damn...I knew Rexes were vicious...But I somehow can't picture one that size taking a significant chunk out of a large Raptor pack. Guess the lesson learned is 'don't mess with Rexes'. Still, I'm glad you're safe" hissed Fatalis, smiling briefly before returning to his meal. Crusher....He'd have to remember that name...

Paradox continued to let out several types of noises, ranging from snorts to barks to even hoots. The hungered Abelisaurus continued to run towards the scent of the Diplodocus. If given the chance, the scent of a carcass could mask his own from the Carnotaur that continued to race after him. Paradox ducked under a low branch, running under the tree limb without much hassle...

Thorn Jaw soon realized that the raptor in front of him was taunting him! Growling deeply he looked directly at the smaller carnivore with slight irritation continuing to note the whereabouts of the other raptors in the area. Thorn Jaw knew fighting this raptor would not prove anything even though he was itching too, but he also noted that if indeed these raptors were a pack than he was at a slight disadvantage. Thorn Jaw leaned closer to the green and black raptor finalizing his decision when the Rexes scent filled his olfactory glands, turning quickly the large Ceratosaur turned. Seeing it to be a young one did not settle his new found nerves, he knew all to well that Tyrannosaurs roamed in packs and the sight of the young one made it even more of a danger. Looking back at the Raptor Thorn Jaw stood away from the Diplodocus carcass and looked at it with anger but nothing strong enough to act on. Taking another step forward Thorn Jaw continued to gorge on the carcass ignoring the Raptor for the time being...

Scar Tooth continued to chase the intruder away from his territory, never having traversed this part of his territory before. After a time of chasing the would be thief the Carnotaur soon picked up the scent of carrion. Normally that would excite his hunting instincts and distract him from any sort of territorial dispute but Scar Tooth was already full of Kentrosaur meat. Taking large steps forward the ambush hunter continued chasing Paradox his rage at all time high...

Aircrest on the other hand had no such qualms, charging across the carcass and lunging onto the side of its head just as it went back to feed. His hands dug into the bony crest over its right side, grappling onto it while he kicked his feet furiously into the Ceratosaur's snout and below his eye, claws tearing into his flesh.

Snarling, Thorn Jaw threw the Raptor off his face feeling its claws dislodge from his now bleeding face. Looking down at raptor he had thrown into the carcass Thorn Jaw prepares a counter attack having not expected the smaller carnivore to attack. Thorn Jaw had grown up in a world where the large took from the small plain and simple, he had his fair share of carcasses usurped from him. He has had multiple territories taken from him, even his family has been taken from him by large carnivore. Never has he questioned it in his life before now seeing the small green and black Raptor attack him showed him that anything can be possible. Snarling instead of roaring Thorn Jaw curls his lips revealing his large teeth as he watches the Raptor, tensing, waiting for the smaller carnivore to make its move...

Aircrest thumped against the cooling flesh of the Diplodocus on his side and rolled back onto his feet thereafter, standing in a low stance. He lunged again, this time at the Ceratosaur's exposed neck, not giving the larger predator any time to react to his assault.

Thorn Jaw turned at the last moment as the green and black Raptor thudded against the tougher side of his neck Thorn Jaw swung his head around knocking the smaller carnivore off of him once more! With a growl Thorn Jaw went on the offensive, lowering his head rushing at the Raptor with surprising speed preparing to ram the smaller carnivore!

Landing on his feet once more, Aircrest threw himself at the oncoming Ceratosaur, claws digging in upon landing on its head. With its nasal horn behind him and posing no threat, Aircrest alternated between his sickle claws as he raked them down the horned carnivore's head, intending to cause as much pain as he can. It would be a lesson in blood why ignoring a hostile predator was a grievous mistake, even if it was only a single raptor.
