Damian's eyes scanned the environment for any signs of trouble. So far, it seemed they were okay. He was picking pu minor abnormalities, but nothing too big at the moment. Overhearign the covnersation, Damian decided to butt himself in.

"I'd hate to see the leader if those were just his minions," Damian said in a low tone. "Those things were tough to kill!"

In the lonely expanses of the desert, the tyrant of the sands watched some strange, boar-like creatures from a distance. It had been a while since he had a sizable meal... and it was time for him to eat. The brute soon began to stalk the beasts with masterful skill...

Rebin turned to the nazi soldier. " You haven't told us your name yet. You helped save our lives... and we helped you get out of that place." He asked, while Yukari shuffed around abit.

"Well... I had a feeling that something of ours would be in there.... I deeply apologize for my rashness and recklessness. It oculd have easilly have made things go far worse than they did. " She apologized, before adding on, "You mention that those zombies had a leader. I don't think I've ever heard of the undead having any form of leadership..."

Far off in the distance, high up in the shaded branches of a tree, sat the reveneant Elly, watching the APC from afar. With her scythe held over her back, she sighed. It didn't seem as if Crom was following them at the moment, and she was starting to get bored. Soon, she would deliver them right where she wanted them for her master's orders, but not yet. Better to wait a while, when they felt more secure no doubt... for now, she would simply watch and wait, and possibly get something to eat in the meanwhile...

Jacob narrowed his eyes as the beast charged, counter charging and leaping just as it closed in on him, the man bracing for what was to come...

"My men called me Obergruppenfuhrer Dietrich Dasler. But, seeing as mein forces no longer exist, I suppose that title is just a vaste of breath. Dietrich Dasler, at your service. Dieter, if you prefer. Formerly a Frontier General und Base Commander. Now? Just a man vith a gun und a needlessly large list of qualifications" said Dietrich as he crossed his arms, leaning against the wall of the vehicle. "As for the...'undead', as you call them...It vasn't so much a true leader as it vas the most formidable of the group. Und the others seemed to react to its needs. Ven resistance against its attacks grew heavy, the other creatures would move in to distract my men so that it could continue unopposed" he explained, his relaxed state showing in his speech, not so careful to avoid the more common mistakes his mother tongue imposed on him...

The Tigrex spun out, tearing up the grass and dirt beneath its claws and clubbing Jacob with its tail, driving the soldier for hire into the ground while it anchored itself into the ground, gouging the landscape as it slid back several more yards, a savage growl rumbling in its throat...

Jacob rolled to his feet, smirking as he spun to face the beast, a grenade being launched from his rifle's secondary barrel, the blast hitting the Tigrex between the base of the tail and the left hind leg, engulfing it in a bluish-white fiery explosion...

The Tigrex roared and leaped into the air, spreading its wings as it did and gaining a slight lift from the explosion's pressure wave, gliding at Jacob with shocking speed behind its bulk...

Jacob dove forward, extending his Monoblades as he did so, rolling forward under the beast as it hurtled towards him...

The Tigrex whipped itself around in midair and closed its wings, dropping its full mass onto Jacob mid-roll and pinning him to the ground under one clawed paw, the talons boring into the back of his augmented body. A rattling snarl emanated from the scaled beast, tail thumping against the ground...

Jacob gritted his teeth, raising his arm as he jabbed it up into the beast's arm, the blade cleaving through flesh and bone smoothly, the pain alone enough to cause the beast to recoil far enough for Jacob to roll to his feet and leap away, putting distance between himself and the animal. He had underestimated its speed, it seemed. The other one had given him a poor preconception at this species's speed and power. He would have to be more careful...

Almost as soon as he had landed, Jacob was blown backwards by a well placed mound of dirt the beast had forced up with his other paw, the blue in his scales now a bright red to match his eyes. A tremendous bellow followed suit as the young Tigrex voiced its rage, the pain in its foreleg giving way to raw furry...

Jacob rolled with the blow, groaning as he straightened. This thing was becoming a pain. pointing his rifle at the beast, he flipped a switch on the side as the grenade launcher split apart at the base, a low droning sound behind heard as it split into 5 parts, the 5 panels rotating around it, gradually gaining speed until it was simply a blur, revealing what lay beneath. A glowing white barrel wrapped in several thick black rings, a deep purple aura swirling around the weapon as the Relativity Coil Field Emitter roared to life, releasing a pulse that slammed into the beast's torso as it bellowed...

The pulse was not like any other weapon...

A perimeter of energy exploded from the grass around the Tigrex, dancing bolts of white and black forming a dome around it. In between the entropic bars was a faint purple haze, like the clouds surrounding the portal around Old Faithful.

The Tigrex roared in anger and surprise at this new development in the battle, lashing out at its confines and screeching in pain when it was repelled with a flash of bright light and an electrical jolt...

"Impressive" commented Jacob lowly as he saw the weapon trap the beast, before firing another couple of rounds from his grenade launcher in rapid succession, maintaining a hail of automatic fire from the weapon's primary barrel as he did so, though bracing for the moment the barrier would fall...

Tigrex screeched and bellowed as explosions broke up around its hide, curling up into itself so that its thicker scales took the brunt of the blasts.

The bars flickered and finally dissipated just over a minute later, and once it did the Tigrex leaped out of the line of fire, taking to the air and circling the cyborg from above, fire in its eyes...

Jacob braced himself to evade as he watched the beast above, continuing his assault, leading the beast's flight with his shots in order to strike it consistently. His vision further helped him in his action as a digital path was marked for the direction of his shots, telling him where exactly to shoot to keep hitting the beast, the Mercenary specifying the creature's eyes as the target as he continued firing, rounds peppering the animal's face as it flew...

The Tigrex released an especially powerful scream that echoed for miles, the cascading cry at such a magnitude that Jacob's electronics were affected by the overload of auditory input. Diving from the skies with its blood burning with rage and its hide scorched and broken, the Tigrex was on a collision course with the former mercenary...

Jacob's audio sensors quickly compensated for the sound, Jacob then using his thrusters as he dove out of the way, evading the diving beast while leaving a flash grenade where he was, the blinding glare of the explosive no doubt disabling the beast's ability to see, Jacob planning to kill it with its own uncontrolled momentum...

The Tigrex reared up for a landing when it saw that its query had moved, the ensuing light making it drop to the Earth a graceless one that rocked the ground, but it was a landing on its feet regardless. Shaking its head to clear its vision, the Tigrex quickly recovered from the inconvenience, lips curling as it snarled. It shoved both front paws into the ground, dredging up giant collections of dirt and rock which flew at the cyborg...

By the time it recovered, Jacob had already returned, leaping onto the beast's back before it could hit him with the rock and dirt, the man digging into it's back with his energy blades, raking long cauterised gashes in the beast's back, ignoring scale and bone as the man moved up to the head, intent on beheading the beast...

The draconian beast screeched in protest, throwing himself to the side where it tumbled onto his back, writhing and snarling angrily in an attempt to shake his assailant off of him...
