The sidestep didn't save the Rex from the collateral damage of the Allosaur's passing, it's muscular tail clubbing the Rex in the face with enough force to knock a couple of teeth loose, though it was obvious the Allosaur was oblivious to its own destructive behaviour, simply focusing on killing that infuriatingly fast Raptor. Just as it seemed it would catch him, lunging forward with jaws wide, Fatalis jumped, landing on its back and sprinting up to its hip and along its tail a couple of strides, before leaping off, landing on the Rex's back, kicking off that and continuing a sprint in the opposite direction, much to the fury of the enraged theropod...

"...Aircrest" the green raptor replied, cocking his head as he watched the Allosaur's blind rage unfold. "You know, if this were to happen anywhere else on this island, they would both be dead right now..." he commented flatly.

Bladetooth shook his head, snorting irritably. He was used to losing teeth on occasion (they grew back fairly quickly, after all), but this raptor was just causing trouble now. The Rex ignored the fact that he had just been used as a stepping stone and backed off, giving the Allosaurus some space to pursue again. He was starting to get the pattern of events unfolding before him, bizarre as they were...

"Well this got boring to watch really fast." Aircrest said flatly. This was not a brawl between giants to shake the badlands! This was...a maniac leading a brute into what was essentially a wall repeatedly. "I'm gonna go ahead and...go somewhere else." he growled to Hellfire. He looked around at what his surroundings were, the barren straight he walked down hours prior now darkened, the nooks and crannies in the wall barely discernible from the rest of the craggy cliffs.

"Yep...somewhere else." he growled, proceeding to jog away.

"Pfft. You're the most unamusing Rex I've ever met. What? Eating sand and your own dung dulled your senses?! Or have you decided you don't WANT to be the top dog anymore? Let yourself be pushed around and mauled by an ALLOSAUR. Pfft." barked Fatalis at the Rex as he dove between the lunging Allosaur's legs, evading it with obnoxious ease. "Oh wait! I know! You live out here because you're so much of a pathetic compy you can't stick up to the predators OUTSIDE Death Valley!" he screeched as he dove out of the way of a second charge, an incredible amount of dust being kicked up around the predators...

"Yep. Definitely" responded Hellfire with a grunt, as he turned away, turning away from the scene as he made his way towards the edge of the valley. It was entertaining until the Rex decided that just standing there and pretending the Raptor and Allosaur didn't exist would be an effective way to make them actually disappear...

It wasn't long after Crusher and Morphena crossed the border markers of Styx's territory that a low growl came from amidst the trees, a male Rex stepping out to cut them both off. The Rex looked to be younger than Crusher, though not by much. His hide was dark green, made up of narrow, jagged bands that seemed, for the most part, similar to Morphena's in overall colour scheme, though the similarity ended there. He had a rough snout ridge, and two long pale streaks ran down his sides, starting behind the nostrils and trailing over the brows, down the neck and spreading into a web-like pattern of tigerstripes across his back, continuing in this form until the tip of his tail. "Morphena? What're you doing bringing this Rex into our territory? You know mother's orders are-" growled the male, before being cut off. "Sarcus, I've been patrolling the borders for three years now. Do you really think I don't know what her orders are? This is different" growled the female firmly, much to the younger Rex's surprise, the female continuing forward, pushing her apparent sibling aside, Crusher following close behind. "Different?! What do you mean 'different'? Mother'll skin you AND him alive when she finds out!" growled the male, avoiding making eye contact with the larger male beside him. "If the Rex is who he says he is, she'll do no such thing. And if he's lying, that just means there's three of us and one of him; all the easier to kill him" responded Morphena firmly as she pushed trees aside and approached the centre of the territory, where a large pale grey female lay, curled up in a dip in the ground, seemingly resting...

Bladetooth was keeping an eye on the raptor, but ignoring his jibes. He shook himself again, irritated at the disruptions around him. With a snort, he stalked off, more concerned about going to find food. Hunting was a bigger issue right now than an insane raptor and an idiotic Allosaurus...

"You know, its funny. Before the rock-headed ******* appeared, I was thinking of fighting that Allosaur myself. After going through a mutant's nest the last thing I was gonna put up with was some big, pushy jackass screaming their lungs out." Aircrest growled offhandedly as he headed away from the confusion behind him. He thought about it being a sign for him to move on again. The green raptor was never one to remain in one place for too long; over eight years his nomadic tendency hadn't faltered one bit. One more migration to other parts of the island would be yet another chapter in a long story of the Wayward Wanderer.

As the Allosaur skidded and snarled and backed round, searching amidst the chaos of its own making, Fatalis slowed to a walk between the Raptor and Deinonychus. "That sucker'll be searching for me for hours after this" snorted the Raptor, Hellfire raising a brow as he eyed him confusedly. "Well hello to you too. I'm fine thanks. You?" hissed the Deinonychus, Fatalis snorting amusedly. "Hey, you want manners, go find a pack. I don't have the time or energy to waste on that crap" growled the Raptor with a snicker as an angry roar bellowed in the distance shortly after they passed a ridge that obscured the view. "Just wait. Any second now roars and blood'll fill the air. It'll think the Rex ate me" he added...

Sure enough, it was a brief few seconds before the Allosaur charged madly at the Rex. Whatever the Raptor had done to it had apparently obliterated any sense of self preservation or logic it had, its mind now locked on finding and killing the Raptor, the Allosaur almost upon the Rex...

"...Aaaah. Music to my ears" sighed Fatalis, snorting amusedly a moment later. "So, on to introductions. Fatalis, the thrill seeking Raptor, if you can call it that" he added as he looked between the two...

Bladetooth turned to look at the charging Allosaurus, and growled angrily, if a bit pleased at the chance to rip the irritating creature apart. With a bloodcurdling roar, the Rex charged the Allosaur, slamming his jaws down on the predator's shoulder...

"And here I was thinking names were exchanged after fighting through some tough ****, noise maker." Aircrest snorted to the somewhat familiar raptor. "Though to be fair...I'm pretty sure it's been a few years since we last saw each other..." he added, arching a brow.

The Allosaur hit the Rex at speed, leaping once it was close, the latter's attempt at a bite coming short of the Allosaur's stomach, it's clawed hands tearing into either side of his skull, both holding it in place and gouging deep gashes along the snout's length, sliding downwards gradually as the Allosaur slid off, taloned feet tearing at the Rex's chest and stomach at a dangerous angle before the predator planted its feet firmly on the ground, the flailing predator using the danger of further damage as a cover to make some space, taking on a fighting stance as it splayed its claws and roared threateningly...

"Yeah. Last I saw of you you were going nuts on an overly persistent Ceratosaurus-nice job on that by the way. Poor thing was hilariously shocked by the fact it was getting mauled by a Raptor. Very entertaining to see" responded Fatalis as the roars and snarls in the distance echoed along the walls of the valley. "Aaaaah. Hear that? THAT is what success sounds like" he added with a smirk of satisfaction...

"Morphena. I assume you have a good reason for bringing this...outsider...to the heart of our territory?" growled the light grey and orange female as she shifted in the nest, lifting her head to glare at the three Rexes. Her face was revealed to be heavily scarred, and dangerous red eyes stared at Crusher with an alertness that seemed unusual for her apparent age. "He apparently knows you..." started Morphena. "Morphena, many know me. I made sure of that myself years ago That in itself is meaningless" responded the older female. "...And Zephora" added Morphena, to which the older female paused, standing after a few moments of consideration. "How?" she growled sceptically, as she stood from the nest, striding over to them. She was easily the largest of the three so far, matching Crusher himself in size, if perhaps a bit shorter in height. "I take it your young are not the only ones familiar with the story of Zephora's surviving son?" rumbled Crusher lowly for the first time. "Crusher is far from here; at least a two day trek, in the heart of the island or beyond" growled the female. "I made the trek...once I learned your location" responded Crusher firmly. "Right. Assuming I believe you, what reason do you have to come now, of all times?" snarled the female as she paced. "Like I said. I only just learned of your location from Ripper...my father's old friend. Whether it was intentional or accidental, I cannot say. You never know with him" grunted Crusher. "Ripper's not the kind to do things 'accidentally'. If he mentioned it, it was of importance" growled the female as she approached, her young backing away as she neared Crusher, beginning to circle him, examining him, Crusher standing still as she did so.

"Well then, Crusher. I suppose it's time you were taken to your family" growled the older female, Crusher shaking his head. "Before that, I need to warn you. I was followed here. I have a hunch that the Dliophosaur in question was watching me at Thrasher's orders" warned the Rex, the elder female raising a brow. "How did you not detect it?" she questioned. "My guess is it was staying downwind of me when possible, and staying at a considerable distance and tracking me when it couldn't. In the end, it was Morphena that detected it. I tried to stop it, but couldn't chase it down" growled Crusher, lowering his head. "And what are the odds Thrasher is involved? We have kept away from him for years. He has no reason to pester us now" growled the elder as she began to walk, gesturing for Crusher to follow, Morphena and Sarcus following close behind. "You haven't. I have. I was raiding his borders for weeks until Ripper convinced me to stop" explained Crusher. The elder snorted unamusedly. "Whatever for? That pompous fish-gobbling lizard needs to be taken down a few notches. Let him bring what he will. We shall be ready. As will your mother and sister" she growled, continuing on her path to what Crusher assumed was the beach, the smell of salt on the air...

And with Fatalis' words, the green and black raptor had an epiphany. "The Diplodocus kill..." he thought. Memories of the event brought other mental fragments, images and sounds static in his mind without much context to go with them. His most vivid memories were eating with a vigor and then brawling with the Ceratosaur. His more vague ones were of the time before that; where he was walking with a Tyrannosaurus and another raptor -who may or may not have had a hatchling with them, at that.

"Putting some arrogant jackass in his place is nothing. Like I was telling my...friend-" Aircrest paused for a moment. He didn't have friends. He was alone in this world, always has been and always will be...right?

"-...friend; I was thinking about showing that Allo a thing or two about being considerate before the Rex showed up." the raptor growled to Fatalis.

Furious, Bladetooth never gave the Allosaurus the courtesy of finishing its threat display. The Rex swung his head up, cracking its against the Allo's lower jaw. Its mouth snapped shut hard, stunning the predator and making it stumble back. Bladetooth lunged forward, clamping his jaws down hard on the Allo's left forelimb...

A screeching roar rang out as the Allosaur reared up, a taloned foot kicking against the Rex's neck and stomach, threatening to rip his throat out, or worse, eviscerate him...

"Huh. Your life must SUCK if the word 'FRIEND' makes you stumble on your own words" hissed Fatalis amusedly. Hellfire meanwhile was silent, taken by surprise at this statement, left thinking over the weight of what had just happened...

Aircrest snorted nonchalantly, carrying on in spite of the novelty of actually having a comrade after years of isolation and fleeting contact. It felt good to have a kindred spirit...even if they were a mutant of a completely different species. Hellfire had proven himself an able companion to have. The green raptor wondered if the Deinonychus regarded him in a similar light.

To Fatalis, he barked: "Yet the thought of leaping onto a giant's face doesn't faze me at all. Strange, hmm?"

Bladetooth simply pulled back, away from the kick, but kept his jaw firmly clamped down, tearing the Allosaur's arm to ribbons and making it effectively useless. With strips of flesh hanging from his jaws, the Rex backed up a couple steps and snarled bestially, waiting for his opponent's next move.

"Strange is right" snorted Fatalis amusedly. Hellfire eventually looked at the Raptor, cocking his head as he inquired. "So what drove you to target that Allosaur specifically?" he hissed. "Dunno, really. The Allosaur was charging my way snarling and growling like it had a bug up it's tail end, and I decided it'd be fun to piss it off. So I pissed it off" barked the Raptor simply, Hellfire hissing amusedly. "Just like that? See something that's had a bad day and make it worse?" growled Hellfire. "Pretty much, yeah" snorted Fatalis...

Meanwhile, Off in the distance, a tiny speck on the horizon watched from the top of the dam as the trio walked, the dark rusty red and black Velociraptor having just departed the halls of the mutants' den, examining the handiwork of the duo that had torn through it earlier. Smirking at the results of his plan, he sighed. "Never fails" he murmured amusedly, turning away as he began to descend into the valley...

The Rex's attempt to persist with it's attack had costed it significant gashes along its stomach, gaping wounds bleeding badly, likely tearing through most of the muscle on its underside, its collar bone and one of its arms most likely fractured and the throat sustaining a few shallow cuts from glancing blows. The Allosaur's arm may have been badly injured, but so was the Rex. With that, the Allosaur pulled its injured arm tight against its chest, snarling threateningly at the Rex, as it widened its stance...

"Okay...but why the hell are you here in Death Valley in the first place?" Aircrest asked, looking back at Fatalis. "Did the Old One send you here as well?" he barked, glancing over to Hellfire momentarily with his snout adorned with a smirk.

A low hiss came from the Allosaur, as it turned away from the Rex. Furious as it was that it had been cheated of its vengeance against the Raptor, it was no fool. It would not throw itself into even more needless harm. It's arm had deep gouges in it, strips of flesh hanging loosely from the injuries, and it was lucky the limb hadn't been smashed to bits or worse, completely torn off. Pacing away slowly, it kept its gaze on the Rex as it departed, just in case the predator decided it didn't want the attacker to survive...

"Old one?...I dunno. I know that there was this....dark red and black Raptor staring at me as the Allosaur showed up....No idea what it wanted or why it was watching, but at that point, I didn't really care. Had to avoid the Allosaur. And then, well, one thing led to another, push came to ram and I ended up tormenting the poor thing till it lost its mind" explained Fatalis with a shrug. "...Incredible" muttered Hellfire, shocked beyond words...
