"Lets go," screeched the ceolophisis as Nuka rose onto her feet, the utahs keeping a close eye on her. Before the group left, she let out a bellow, trying to alert the rexes who she could see out of the corner of her eye. Even if the rexes helped, she didn't think they could overpower the multitude of predators around her. So hoping for the best and worst, she followed the triassic killer as they neared the center of the island...

Crusher glanced up at the bellowing call. "She wouldn't do that if it was a trap. Something's wrong" growled Morphena, moving towards the closest part of the river to the sandbank that led up to where the Spinosaur had gone. Snarling, Crusher followed. Morphena was letting the surface sights and sounds get the better of her. This situation was costing them precious time, and for all he know, they were running straight to their deaths. But he would not let Morphena come to harm. It was the silent vow he had sworn to uphold as he accepted her companionship the previous day...He would not go back to her family with such bitter news....He could not allow for her to be hurt...

"Please help," whispered the spinosaur as she grew closer and closer to the center. Once she bumped into a raptor to her right, resulting in a slash to the shoulder which bled each time she moved her arm, which was often. After a few more miles, the ceolo came to a stop, his clawed hand in the air to stop the group. He pointed his snout at the group of raptors surrounding Nuka, growling,"Bring her here so 'he' can see her." When the raptors had her in the front of the quiet ceolophisis, he spoke. "Keep an eye o her. ALL of you. I'm gonna tell 'him' we have her." Witht that the theropod left in a cloud of dust, gone. Nuka layed down, which casued all the raptors to tense. She could care less at this moment as she rested, waiting for the inevitable...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Toklo and Blue stopped suddenly as the black carnotaurus moved out of the way, waiting for something. Blue squinted her eyes and gasped at what was galloping toward them. A large quetzalcoatlus troted towar them, snapping his long, slightly bloodstained beak every few steps as if sizing up the two. The old quetz croaked,"What did you bring me this time, Ebony?" "Some dinosaurs who ask for your help," rumbled Ebony. "This young carnotaurus aparently has a broken leg and needs time to heal Coaty." Coaty the old pterosaur smiled, and waved the young carnotaur forward."Come now, I won't peck you," squaked the elder. When Blue raised her good leg up to step forward, she instantly fell onto her side, her injured leg giving out on her. "Hmmm... seems to be a fight injury, am I right sauropod?" hooted the flyer. "Yes against a giganotaurus. She charged it and bounced off, breaking her leg as she fell," growled the shunosaurus. "Go to your herd. They're waiting for for," growled the black giant. Obeying the killers order, he immedently headed down the cliff, suddenly full of energy as he raced down the mountainside, his limp all but gone..

It wasn't long before the Rexes caught up. Earth shaking thumps shook the very ground beneath the Utahraptors' feet. Trees swayed and shook, flocks of birds squawking and crowing as they scattered into the sky, desperate to escape the behemoths that carved a path through the wilderness. It was still quite a distance before even Thrasher's allies' territories began. At this distance, so long as Thrasher remained unaware of their approach, they had no need to fear an ambush. But that was just it. They had no idea if Thrasher was truly as clueless as he seemed. Crusher had, thankfully, managed to slow down Morphena and talk some sense into her, albeit quietly. Now, they moved as one, hunters carving a careful path towards destiny. As they closed in on the Spinosaur's scent a low, rattling snarl reverberated through the trees, so deep as to shake the innards of everything within a half-mile of the source, and so menacing it seemed as though death itself had come to exercise its wrath upon all in its way. Burning orange eyes shimmered in the trees, the light of the morning sun reflecting in them and lighting them up like fireballs, golden rings outlining pin-prick pupils as fangs glinted amidst the trees.

Several miles away, a lone Carcharodontosaurus patrolled the borders of a territory that was not its own. It was an old hunter, weary of the hardships of life on this island, forced to take the place of the territory's previous owner, its mangled, nigh unrecognisable corpse laying not too far away in a broken, bloody mess, the only means of identifying the cause being the recurring twin-stab wounds in its body. Its innards covered the floor in a massive pool of blood, its entire chest cavity torn open mercilessly. The sight unnerved the old predator. This was not the work of a normal creature. Nothing he knew of could destroy something so thoroughly.

Rumours had been spreading of a monstrous Tyrannosaur bent on bringing Thrasher and all that associated with him to a painful, brutal demise. The creature had slain numerous Spinosaurs, Giganotosaurs, Carcharodontosaurs and even other Rexes in its fight to bring Thrasher to an end, causing many to begin to question the wisdom behind backing a Spinosaurus with such horrifying enemies. Some rumours even suggested Thrasher himself was running scared, and the fact he had been scrambling to plug the holes in his defences only a day ago implied there could well be truth to it. The triceratops responsible for the most recent stroke of bad luck for Thrasher had killed no fewer than four super predators before departing the area, and rumours suggested the Rex, over the past few weeks, had killed even more, though how many exactly was hard to say.

As for the Carcharodontosaur, his purpose was one he cared little for. He would only be willing to give a token effort. He would not die for some greedy fish-eater's mad dreams of power. As for Thrasher himself...his location was unknown. He had been doing random patrols, pressure-testing borders and killing or forcing out anyone too weak to be of use, and any intruder seen within a hundred yards of the outer territories was to be killed on sight. Right now, there was no telling what he'd do next.

Nuka raised her skull slightly, feeling the vibrations in the earth and she knew that the two rexes were coming. If the raptors felt it too, they didn't show it to her as they watched the spinosaur and the area surrounding them. The spinosaurus clenched her massive claws, ready for an attack once the backup came.

The ceolophisis raced through the many territories, sneaking past carnivores, and searching for the reason he was doing this...

What happened next was a blur, the trees all but literally exploding as the Rexes lunged free of their cover, jaws slamming shut on a Utahraptor each, Morphena practically biting her target in half as Crusher lifted the creature off its feet, before slamming it into the earth with a sickening crunch, every bone in its body smashed to pieces before it even registered what had happened...

The bolting Coelophysis, meanwhile, found itself all but literally knocked off its feet, an Irritator walking forward, pinning it down with a foot as menacing snarl filled the air. "Well well, what do we have here? A little trespasser scampering into Thrasher's territory uninviiiiited" hissed the Spinosaurid, fangs interlocking perfectly to form a sinister looking muzzle. Orange eyes glared at the creature, slitted pupils studying its every move as the powerful old Irritator examined this latest pest in Thrasher's domain. "Tell me, intruder, what brings a little...pest, like yourself, into the territory of the single most dangerous creature on the island?" growled the battlescarred piscivore as a long, slender tongue traced the edges of his fangs. His black muzzle was speckled with rich turquoise scales wrapping around his brows, and green and black patterns decorated the sides of his snout, a tan-coloured, surprisingly elaborate crest perched on the predator's snout. His hide was a dark blend of greens and blacks, a rich blue streak running on the edges of a thick black band running down his back, jagged blue and black patterns on either side of what was visibly a very thick, muscular spine; far removed from the large, relatively flat sails of its larger relatives...

As the rexes snatched two of the raptors, Nuka took the element of surprise to her advantage. Lunging forward, she snatched a raptor into her meat hook-like claws, raising him into the air. With a loud bellow, she threw the creature down, killing him upon impact. Before she could snag another though, the rest had fled.

The ceolophisis hissed at the Irritator, fear rising up his throat as he stared down the killer. "I have news that Thrasher himself needs to hear. It is of utmost importance," growled the triassic predator as he was squirming within the spinosaurid's strong grip. "If you don't let me give this information to him, you'll be sorry fish eater," threatened the ceolo, trying to sound tough in the face of a merciless carnivore.

"Thrasher hasn't the time to deal with every lizard that scampers into his and his allies' territory claiming to have 'information'. I'll be the judge of what Thrasher needs or does not need to hear" snarled the Irritator, eyes narrowing. It was quite clear from his tone that he did not care for threats. "If you want to get out of here in one piece, you'll start talking. Otherwise...well, let's just say nobody will miss a lone Coelophysis" hissed the emerald predator, tracing one of his massive claws along the side of the Coelophysis's snout, the devilishly sharp point a hair's width from cutting into the smaller predator's hide...

A bone chilling snarl came from the male Rex as he glared after the retreating Utahraptors, looking down at the smashed corpse of the one he had caught. "What was all that about?" growled Morphena as she eyed the Spinosaur, head tilted curiously as meanwhile Crusher tore off a portion of his kill, downing it. With where they were going, there was no telling when his next meal would be, especially as they neared the centre of the island, where the abundance of foes would make finding food difficult...He didn't intend to waste this rare opportunity...

The ceolo squeked as the claw ran down his snout, a scales width from slicing his head. He gulped, beginning to speak. "I believe I have found the spinosaurus that left Thasher's domain many years ago. Me and a pack of 8 Utahraptors found her by the river that heads into Thrasher's realm. We have her in a clearing about half an hours run in that direction." He jerked his head Northwest, where he hoped the raptors had the spinosaur under careful eye. He gulped involuntarily, hoping it was just a play on his nostrils.

Nuka snorted, staring down at her kill which was at her feet, its body bent at ood angles. She glanced up and could see that the female rex wanted the truth. She rumbled,"I was caught. MY name is NUka by the way and I have a past with Thrasher.." 'I hope they don't attack me once I finish telling them, especially that large male,' she though as she ripped off a chunk of flesh from the raptor, trying to calm her nervous stomach before she continued.

"Well, considering how badly you wanted him dead, that was kinda obvious" growled Morphena with a gentle smirk, though Crusher had downed the last of his meal and was now looking more carefully at the Spinosaur, obviously understanding the statement differently, her nerves coming clear through her scent. There was more to it than she'd said so far, and her hesitance was drawing his suspicion. "What kind of history?" growled the Tyrannosaur, eyes narrowed...

"Many Spinosaurs have come and gone over the years. You don't seem to know just how many of them there are. Do you really think Thrasher would care where they went?" hissed the Irritator through sceptical eyes, tongue flicking, the action eerily snake-like, perhaps, ironically, suggestive of the piscivore's treacherous nature...

Sighing, Nuka continued," I am Thrasher's cousin. When my father died attacking the top dinosaur, a rex like yourselves, Thrasher's father, Scimtair took me in as his own daughter. Years past and Scimitair was still in control. As we grew, so did Thrasher's lust for power. By the time Thrasher finally killed his father, my uncle, I had already begun a family. When he claimed the land, I knew I had to take my family into a safer place." She stopped, taking another mouthful of meat down her throat before continuing. "Thrasher thought that by me retreating, that I was secretly planning to overthrow him since I was the only family member still alive. So he and a few of his allies hunted us down at the edge of a swamp. Me and my mate fought them off, but I was the only survivior. He killed my mate, my children, his neice and nephew, and left. I was injured during the attack and he thought I would die by the hands of scavangers or infection." She bared her croc- like fangs in a smile. "But what he didn't know is that I'm still alive and ready to kill him. At least he might know if that ceolophisi didn't run off looking for him.."

Guping audioably, he stammered, "But this one is special. She smells almost exactly like Thrasher." He looked around, looking desperatly at anything but the piscivore's mouthful of gigantic fangs. He quickly shouted, "I think they might be related."

"Wow....this is surreal....both your fathers died in the same fight" growled Morphena, surprised. "It seems our histories are intertwined, and your fear misplaced. You have suffered enough....from Thrasher...and my own family" growled Crusher lowly as he straightened. "Your father died in the attack that killed much of my own family, possibly at the jaws of my father himself, if not one of my elder brothers. I want Thrasher dead because he was the one to press his father into the idea of leading that attack in the first place, even if most didn't realise it. In a way, he is the reason both our fathers and my siblings and grandparents lie dead....their blood is ultimately on his claws" rumbled the male. Looking up towards the sun, he realised they were losing time. Daylight had already cast its burning glow on the island, and by now, many of the predators would be awake and active, if they had not been earlier. A direct route was no longer viable. He'd have to take a longer path around the protective ring, through one of the territories whose owners had been killed earlier by the Triceratops or himself...assuming Thrasher hadn't already had them replaced.

"Is that so?.....Hmm...In that case, I think I'll need to see this for myself...or better yet..." gurgled the battle-scarred Irritator as he straightened, his claws lifting from the Coelophysis as a long, chilling screech rang out into the forest air. A long, deep Spinosaurus's roar came in response, the trees soon swaying as a dull brown and green Spinosaur appeared, jagged black patterns lining its otherwise dull, perfectly camouflaged hide. Not Thrasher, but definitely a close ally. The one whose territory the Coelophysis had run through. "You called, Rake?" hissed the giant lowly, tired yellow eyes staring somewhat bitterly at the small fish eater. "Seems Nuka's reappeared. I want you to go and investigate. See if this little lizard here is telling the truth. If he is, kill her. If not, kill him" snarled the Irritator, his tone as apathetic as his gaze. "As you command" snarled the Spinosaur lowly through gritted teeth, obviously not liking the attitude the smaller predator had. But then, he was in no position to speak against the piscivore. "Lead on, little one. I suggest you hope you're right" growled Rake as he turned away, disappearing back into the thick brush, continuing on his path...

Looking around, she snorted. "We better try to find a safe place to travel if we are hoping of killing Thrasher by the end of the year," growled the spinosaur, a hint of amusement showing through her walk as she lumbered into the trees, calling behind her sailed back," You two gonna stand there and mope or.. are you gonna help me murder the family killing newt?"

The ceolo hopped up, already beginning to race after his tracks, yelling,"Come on giant, its this way, follow the cloud of dust." He charged through the trees, following his path and panting. In only a few minutes he he began to smell blood and he grew worried, fearing for the worst...

Crusher was already on the move by the time Nuka had made to advance, his path leading off to the East of Thrasher's territory, seeming to be completely missing it, as if he had lost track of the direction. "For someone whose lost all her loved ones you seem cheerful" growled Morphena as she pressed forward, moving to the Spinosaur's side as she advanced to catch up with the large male who seemed almost too eager to leave this place. They had risked exposing themselves. They had to move before they were detected, and would have to make up enough lost time to be able to hit before Thrasher discovered what was happening. Panicked though some of his allies may have been, Thrasher was nothing if not efficient. His ways, while brutish, were dangerously effective. He would have his entire territory locked down and secured the moment he found out Crusher was close by and could be moving for a direct attack...

The Spinosaur strode across his territory as swiftly as he could, snarling under his breath at the fast Coelophysis's pace. He was tempted to kill it anyway, simply for giving Rake a reason to call him. At this point, he hated the Irritator with a passion. But he knew that that same creature may well have been the most powerful creature on the island, or at least, the second. Everyone graced with the privilege of living within reach of Thrasher's borders recognised him by scent and sight, and all lived by one cardinal rule: Fear Rake. For what Rake's eyes saw, so did Thrasher's. And Rake saw everything...

The words 'loved ones' sparked a burning hatred in her soul. The only thing keeping her from roaring in rage was the fact that they needed to move as silently as possible. She growled,"If you recall from what me and your pal said, Thrasher killed our families and relatives. I was real close to my uncle and when he died I really wanted to kill my cousin. Only my mate could keep me in check. But now," she sighed deeply, saddened. "But now, with him and my kids dead, all I enjoy now is the thought of killing my accursed cousin." With that being said, she picked up her pace, following the large male rex and leaving the female behind.

The ceolophisis began to near the spot where he left Nuka. As he grew close, he began to slow his pace, finally coming to a stop at the edge of the clearing. All he could see were mangled corpses of three utahraptors, two of them looking like a rex killed them, from the gouge marks in their sides. He shivered, making his way around the carcasses and sniffed the air, searching for the spinos scent..

Morphena mentally kicked herself after that. Well done, Morphena. Had to go and open your oversized mouth she thought with an inward cringe. Pressing on, she began to pick up, not wanting to fall too far behind Crusher. The male seemed deaf to the conversation, his senses focused on his surroundings and his mind locked on one simple thought; kill Thrasher. He was on a long, indirect route around Thrasher's territory and the territories surrounding it. There were predators everywhere, many of them super predators. He was carefully navigating his way along the borders of several, even if his two companions were oblivious to it. It was for this reason and this reason only that they had not been intercepted and attacked by a large predator yet. At this point, he wanted to conserve his energy, knowing the fight against Thrasher would require him at his peak. He dared not say it out loud, but there was still a significant chance that they could run into Thrasher amidst several of his allies. If that happened, he would have to directly challenge the Spinosaur to one on one combat. Otherwise, sheer numbers would win the fight, and the three of them would be killed on the spot, no matter how skilled they were. Thrasher would be looking for a way to cripple Crusher's ability to fight, and wouldn't hesitate to resort to the most underhanded tactics he knew to gain an advantage...they had to be careful...

At this point, the Spinosaur was just leaving his own borders. New scents were reaching him, most notably the smell of blood. Other less prominent scents were masked by the strong metallic stench of what seemed to be several animals. If this Coelophysis was telling the truth, then this meant that whatever he was being led to was hostile...and likely quite dangerous. he'd have to approach cautiously. Slowing down, he made his way carefully to the source...

Nuka looked behind her at the rex, feeling a little rude. "Hey, I said my name, but what you and mr. grumpy's name?" asked the giant as she slowed down, keeping pace with the much smaller rex.

The ceolo screeched in rage, beginning to head toward the spino's scent, keeping to the shadows as he crept through the brush, trying to be as silent as physically possible.

"Morphena. And the big guy over there's Crusher. Just a bit of advice though; might want to watch what you do around him. He gets angry easily" growled Morphena casually, keeping up her guise of talkative indifference...

By this point, the Spinosaur had closed in on the Coelophysis's location, checking the scents in the area as it pushed through the trees, eyes settling on the mangled corpses of three Utahraptors. The scents were unmistakable, but the sight was confusing. What did a tiny Coelophysis have to do with a bunch of Utahraptors; apex killers with a frightening intellect? Two more scents came to the fore, however, which immediately ended that train of thought. In addition to the Spinosaurus's scent, which indeed was reminiscent of Thrasher's, if vastly different, there were also two tyrannosaurus's scents floating on the breeze. Suddenly, things were significantly more serious. Deciding to up the pace, the Spinosaur began to track the scent, following the occasional snapped branch and footprint in the thick forest loam to lead it to the source...

"Hm... I figured as much when he basically killed that Utah without even biting down hard," snorted the spino as she kept walking. Though she may be nice, Nuka could tell Morphena was feeling sorry for what she said earlier. The giant could care less as she snapped at a pterosaur dumb enough to fly in front of the massive predator.

The ceolo was in within yards from the trio, a sense of fear/hatred overwhelming him as he found out who killed the three raptors. He kept quiet though, hoping to learn more info that could help Thrasher's cause.

It wasn't long until Crusher began to slowly turn westwards, Morphena speeding up so that she was once again at the Rex's side. He was unnervingly quiet. She knew why, but it wasn't something she had grown used to. The Crusher she had come to know was talkative, if a bit rough round the edges. This however was something different. Gone was her recent friend and in his place was a silent, deadly predator, whose mind unwaveringly focused on one goal. She didn't even try to speak to him at this point. He was too focused on the task at hand, to the surrounding environment, to every possible threat, to hear her. It left her alone with the Spinosaur that accompanied them; a fact she wasn't entirely comfortable with. While she had been fairly cordial thusfar, their awkward interaction from earlier had made conversation difficult now...she wasn't sure how to speak to something that quite likely saw her as rude, perhaps even mean. And all the while, Crusher seemed unaware of it. If he was listening, he didn't show it. This was a critical stage in the attack. What happened now made or broke the plan he had spent years plotting out, and it was obvious he was more worried about making sure everything worked out as planned than with speaking to either of his companions. No sound came from the Rex, only breathing and footfalls disrupting the songs of birds in the trees, the bellowing calls of distant giants elsewhere on the island floating on the hot tropical wind. It was unfortunately not enough. For far behind the trio of superpredators, the Spinosaur had caught up...and he was now surveying the scene with a critical gaze. "Thrasher needs to know about this" growled the giant under his breath, turning away and making as fast and direct a path as he could towards the large Spinosaurus's territory...
"Ah yes, organised chaos. the sign of a clever but ever-busy mind. To the perpetrator, a carefully woven web of belongings and intrigue, but to the bystander? Madness!"
