Thrasher sighed in relief as he walked out from behind one of the massive willow trees dotting the area, the facility becoming visible in the mist. The facility was as tall as any Spinosaur, thick walls cracked and collapsed in places, brown mesh-like lumps encircling a pool beside the facility; an old, rusted, mangled barrier that had once kept animals out of the contents of the man made disposal pool. Murky grey-brown liquid filled it, one side of the pool overwhelmed with the roots of a tree, which seemed unaffected by the contents. The animals surrounding the pool however, were not so lucky.

Not far away, a gargantuan reptile lay on the bank of the nigh current-less river running past the facility. The 60 foot behemoth was a Deinosuchus, severely mutated and probably one of the older creatures on the island, easily large enough to dwarf just about every other crocodilian on the island, bar a few. Yellow eyes shimmered in the dark as it watched, a low gurgling growl rumbling in its throat as it lay there casually, completely confident in its sovereignty of the area. Thrasher, though overjoyed to have finally reached the pool, wasn't so far gone that he'd risk getting too close. Carefully, he made a long, arcing path towards the pool, waiting to make sure everything was clear before finally letting his snout sink into the murky liquid, lapping up huge gulps, his wide, paranoid eyes finally settling to a narrower, less fearful state, the behemoth's entire body language changing, returning to that of the confident leader that had terrified the island for nearly a decade.

Not far away, Fatalis watched from the trees, perched high enough that he couldn't be spotted, yet low enough that he could watch with a fairly unobstructed view of the events. Hellfire wasn't much further away, though significantly lower to the ground, just out of reach of any reptile massive enough to be a potential threat.

"... Maybe get a tree to fall on it... no, the last thing we need is for that stuff to spill and mix with the water..."

Aircrest was far closer to Thrasher than what would be considered "safe", keen eyes locked on the pool as he began to scheme its destruction. In fact, his position was downright precarious. He was currently crouched outside the top story window of a nearby building. A tree had skewered it, its drooping leaves spilling out of broken windows and damaged walls. Hiding in the cover they provided, the green raptor observed Thrasher's behavior with his lips curled. He was disgusted... yet intrigued. What deviation in thought, what possible temptation, could drive a creature to consume the horrid substance in first place? Ripper had warned him of the addictive properties of the waste the spinosaur gulped down, of the changes it caused in a creature's body. Looking at the pool with his own eyes though, Aircrest was sure he wouldn't have needed to be told what would happen to him should he drink from it. It looked vile enough all on its own.

"Block it off somehow... then there won't be any future mutants here..."

Nuka traveled much quicker since the situation with the mutant sarco. She didn't want to meet anything else that was even the slightest bit like that. She used her sensitive snout to smell any intruder, the mist keeping her eyesight limited to the space close to her. Sniffing almost continuously, she narrowed in on her cousin, keeping quiet, staying low to the ground. She could see a dark, spinosaur shaped smudge in the mist in front of her. She knew she was there, already circling around and crouching in a grove of large mangroves, watching,w waiting for the right opportunity to strike...

Thrasher's family kept their distance for now, wary of what lay before the massive Spinosaur, unnerved by how his behaviour transformed merely through drinking from the pool. The contents looked fairly similar to a muddy river or pond. While most lakes and ponds would be a magnet for mosquitoes, here, they were markedly absent, as if this liquid actually repelled them. Beneath the tree's roots, cracks had begun to form in the edge of the pool, the ageing concrete buckling under the weight and constriction of the tree's roots. The sloshing thuds of approaching footsteps heralded Nuka's arrival, though the Spinosaurs at the facility seemed not to care, either unaware or undeterred by her slow approach. Thrasher smelled blood, and he knew he wasn't the only one. The Deinosuchus beside the facility gurgled once more, before slipping into the river, disappearing in the murk...

Carefully, Fatalis had managed to follow Aircrest into the facility, foregoing his usual loud and vitriolic approach for a more subtle, stealthy one. It was almost unnatural to see the Raptor so quiet as when he strode into the facility through the hole made by the branches. Leaping over the green Raptor, he landed inside the facility, rotten plant matter, dust and debris greeting him, though he thankfully missed anything that would have compromised his position. Turning back to approach the Green Raptor, he poked his head round the edge of the window, looking down at the Spinosaur below, the overwhelming scent of the pool easily enough to hide his scent. As if the swamp wasn't enough already he thought as he observed in silence...

Hellfire, meanwhile, was watching warily, perched a bit higher up and out of the way, noticing the increased movement around them. Several of the smaller crocodiles had left the water once the big one entered, and the Spinosaurs were watching the movement carefully, intimately aware that something was going on. Thrasher could be seen lifting his head from the murky pool, even though the angle wasn't ideal from where the Deinonychus stood...

Aircrest hissed at Fatalis in annoyance, distracted by the raptor's sudden appearance. "Quit it," he said succinctly without taking his eyes off of the pool, and Thrasher as a result. "Fill it in with dirt?" he thought, "Maybe... would need a lot of dirt..."

"I'm sorry I annoyed you with my assistance" hissed Fatalis quietly, rolling his eyes before returning his focus to the Spinosaur, watching the predator as he finished drinking from the pool, a low, satisfied hiss escaping the giant. Scarred though he was, he seemed surprisingly fit. While he may not be able to win a fight against Crusher, it seemed very likely he could still crush most other things that challenged him. It was little wonder that he was the second thing the creatures of the surrounding swamp were avoiding, the first being the giant Deinosuchus currently swimming beneath the surface of the river...

Nuka growled quietly, almost silent. "What is Thrasher doing?" she hissed, slowly making her way out of the grove. She sensed something was wrong, even if she couldn't see it. She knew that during the battle she would need to be on her toes and use whatever is available to her advantage if she is to survive the onslaught of the group. 'Better now than ever,' she thought, the tip of her snout already breaching the leafy cover.

"Assistance," Aircrest repeated flatly, shooting Fatalis an even look before getting up and hopping over him. The Wanderer took a few half steps as he ducked under the top of the window and dropped into the musky room beyond, where he turned to look outside again. He beckoned Fatalis to follow him with a gesture with his snout.

Thrasher looked up towards the sound of rustling branches, fixing the figure amidst the mangroves with a piercing stare, a low snarl rumbling in his throat as he realised who it was. "Well well, look who's decided to follow. You never were the brightest egg in the clutch, but I have to admit even I'm surprised you'd make this big a mistake" hissed the giant as he turned to face Nuka. Behind him, Bahari, the two juveniles and Thrasher's other two cousins watched, the latter two stepping up to either side of the behemoth, joining him as Bahari watched over the young ones...

Fatalis pursued the Raptor on light feet, careful of his footing, having more than once hurt or exposed to himself by stepping on something in ruins such as this one. Moving after the Raptor, he soon found himself watching from a better vantage point...

"I called you in here so that we could talk plans, not for you to gawk at Thrasher some more..." Aircrest growled lowly as he watched Fatalis wander over to another opening in the wall. With a sigh, he followed Fatalis over to it, looking down at what seemed to be the start of a confrontation, with Thrasher's family members walking up at his sides as the giant spinosaur stared down a rival. "Great, now how am I supposed to get you to listen?" Aircrest snarled, knowing Fatalis would be more interested in the show than anything else.

"I'm listening" hissed Fatalis as he glanced sideways at the Raptor. "I'm better at multitasking than you think. Tormenting super-predators does that to you" he growled, smirking...

"You had me fooled," Aircrest replied in his mind. Out loud, he growled: "I'm thinking that we could take Thrasher's not-so-little watering hole and wipe it off of the face of the island. Bury it under dirt, sand, whatever the hell we can get our claws into. But we'll need help, the big and heavy kind..."

"We have some unfinished business that you started a few years ago," growled the green female as she stepped out of the grove, a deep rumble emanating from her. Turning toward the other spinos, she flushed blood into her sail, turning it a much darker shade of green. "I only have hatred for Thrasher, not you, my only not demonic relatives." She quickly turned, glaring at the larger male. "Well, go ahead. Try to kill me as you did my family." Roaring, she began to circle, keeping her claws and eyes pointed straight at the killer, awaiting the inevitable..

"Oh. So now I'm the enemy, am I? As I recall, you were the one to turn your back on us. To bring harm to our family. You betrayed us twice. The bodies are piling up at your feet; all victims of your treachery. And yet I'm the villain? I, the one who has spent most of his life looking out for our family and others of our kind? You sided with that filthy Rex, that monster consumed by hatred for all Spinosaurids, who took the natural order of the island as justification for vengeance and killing countless creatures innocent of any wrong. No. I'm no fool, and neither are Hayasa and Timsah. Make no mistake...You are the enemy, here. You betrayed us twice, and now you seek the privilege of a fair fight? No. You haven't earned such kindness. You chose to chase us after our defeat...You sought death over life....And I....will grant it." snarled Thrasher, eyes narrowed hatefully as he glanced to his sides, Hayasa and Timsah both standing firmly at the giant's side, each of the two almost as large as Nuka herself, and grizzled from countless battles. Unlike the other two combatants, they weren't injured, and were completely capable of fighting. It was obvious they wouldn't back down.

"You gotta give Thrasher credit, he knows how to talk....Too talky and long winded, sure, but he does make a convincing argument. No surprise how he managed to hold his spot for all these years..Really good at getting others on his si-....Oh wait, what were you saying?" hissed Fatalis as he glanced over to the Raptor. Before Aircrest could act on Fatalis's undoubtedly feigned cluelessness, Hellfire stepped out of the shadows. "Crusher owes us a favour after the whole Trike incident. I'm sure we could get him to be our earth-mover. We might wanna wait a while though...He took a beating in the Thrasher fight, and he'd have to go through another one just to get here....Not to mention this seems to be where Thrasher plans to stay" growled the Deinonychus, looking a bit damp, though his expression was as blank as ever...

Aircrest turned his glaring eyes away from Fatalis to Hellfire, closing them when he saw the deinonychus and opening them again with a more neutral expression on his face. "Look who's the thinking one now," he thought with some mirth. All it took for Hellfire to be more talkative was a stroll through a crocodile infested swamp. He stepped away from the hole in the wall, doing his best to block out the snarling and growling coming from outside as the spinosaurs quarreled.

"Then we'd be best off getting to know the area. The resources available, and how bad the mutant problem is here, things like that," Aircrest growled to Hellfire.

Silent, she stopped moving, evaluating everything around her she could use. She noted the water a few body lengths away from her, which seemed to have a large creature swimming close to the shore, the evidence shown by the massive skid mark in the mud. "Are we gonna talk,or are we gonna fight like the killers we are?" she hissed, keeping the trio in her sights...

Thrasher smirked, amused by the statement, his face suddenly sinking to a blank stare, the faintest hints of a scowl visible as creases became faintly visible along his snout. "Kill her" hissed the behemoth, the two Spinosaurs at his side advancing. Hayasa, a greyish brown Spinosaur with yellow eyes, struck first. Talons swung in at Nuka's sides as the grey-brown beast snarled, her sail a rich speckled orange. Timsah, a large grey-green creature with deep orange eyes, was a mere split-second slower. The Spinosaur's crocodilian snout snapped at Nuka's neck, assisting his sister in tackling the traitor, as Thrasher approached, talons splayed wide, his fangs glistening with the liquid he had been drinking mere moments earlier...

"Works for me. Sooner we can get this over with the better. Moving around in swamps isn't something I want to keep doing for too long" hissed Hellfire with a nod as he glanced over at Fatalis, raising a brow. "Might wanna look out for the big Croc in the river. Thing was almost as big as Thrasher, and looked like it could bite a Trike in half" hissed the Velociraptor, almost on cue, as if knowing Hellfire was watching him...

"I've got a feeling big crocs will be the least of our concerns," Aircrest muttered mostly to himself. He remembered his encounter with the beast beneath the surface, misshapen and hideous. The mutant so far gone that identifying just what it was exactly proved impossible, even as it was gasping for breath from a slit throat and drowning on its own blood. And even then it did not give up the hunt, easily the most unnerving part of the experience...

Roaring in outrage, she lashed out at the spino at her throat, slashing deeply at his shoulder. A second after, she swung her leg out, kicking the female away long enough to retreat. She moved toward the water, staying a good bit away. "Come on Cousin, can't you deal with your weaker relative by yourself?" she hooted, slowly pulling a large branch to her with the back of her foot.

"Oh, I certainly can. It's what comes after you're dead I'm more concerned with. Why tire myself out when there are other, more formidable dangers lurking around this swamp" rumbled Thrasher as he slowly strode forward, Hayasa and Timsah leading him, the two snapping and hissing at Nuka, keeping up the pressure though remaining just out of reach. Meanwhile, whatever had been in the river was out of sight, the weak current churning an otherwise silent river, its contents hidden in the night time mist...

"The mutant problem will show itself eventually. As for the environment, I'd say we start off with this place" hissed Hellfire, gesturing towards the cavernous structure around them. "We'll need to know it well if we want to use it later" he added...
