James looked at Yuke for a bit, slightly annoyed at his response, then said "We need to get alot of water tight barrels, and load them with gunpowder. we'll tie a couple of dozen barrels to the ship's keel, and have another 20 ready on deck. if the Kraken attacks, it'll probably go for the barrels.those will be linked together by a long fuse, pinned to the deck in some way, and lit when it attacks them. it'll probably lift it out of the water while attacking it, so that'll give the fuse room to burn, going to the barrels, and blowing it's tentacles to smithereens. failing that, the 20 barrels on deck can also be lit with a fuse, or a musket shot, only this one, we'll drop onto it when it tries to climb the side of the ship. we'll shove it into it's mouth, light the fuse, or shoot the barrel, and say good bye to the Kraken...."

"Ah yes, organised chaos. the sign of a clever but ever-busy mind. To the perpetrator, a carefully woven web of belongings and intrigue, but to the bystander? Madness!"
