Tears were threatening to come down Adeline's face as she watched Pierre sail away. "No," she cried. "Not him. Not...why?" They were starting to pour down her face while her hand was still placed over her mouth. He didn't deserve to die.

Meanwhile, on the Black Pearl, a piercing cry was heard. It came from Elizabeth, who was gripping Will tightly and crying into his chest while Will looked at Tia. "Is there anything," he asked softly.

Tia Dalma merely shook her head...

James stood there, still in shock...

It was very silent on all three ships. The group started to split up as the boats were all passing by them. Adeline was staring down at the water, tears still running down her face like a stream. Why Pierre? Pierre was such a good lad. She looked into James' shocked face and put a hand on his shoulder, wanting to wake him from his trance-like state. At least Eric was still in a deep sleep, but how long would it be before he woke up and started his watching over her? She didn't want to think about his emerald eyes, watching her every move on the ship, making sure that she wasn't even taking a glance at James. The thought of his constant watch over her made her shiver in fear. "He's going to be with me more often now that he knows about my.." She didn't want to think about it and she didn't want to tell James, yet. But if the crew kept spilling out rumors about her, it will soon spill out to him.

"Jack, nea'rin' sunrise what say we get out those Charts and find out 'ow to get out of here, before we die again?" Growled Barbossa. It had been awhile after they had seen the boats, and Elizabeth's father.

James jerked from his thoughts, and looked at Adeline. the sight of her face brought back that emotion he had felt earlier...love. he had gone through so many emotions lately it was staggering. from love and extreme happiness to sadness and frustration, to rage, to hopefulness, to shock, to rage and revenge, to hopefulness again...

Adeline smiled, but said nothing to James. She could see love in his deep, beautiful eyes. "Poor James," she thought. "Maybe I shouldn't go down to Eric for tonight...maybe I should stay here with him." She wondered if he would like that, and decided to ask. "Would you like me to..to stay up here with you tonight?" She herself didn't feel like going back to Eric. But what would happen if Eric didn't see her?

James sighed. "I'd enjoy having your company, but only do it if you think you'd rather be here than down there" he said as he pointed at the deck, meaning the cabin they had taken 2 decks below...one of the only cabins aboard the ship...

She made a face at the suggestion of going down there again and shook her head. "No, I'd rather be with you. I mean it."

James grinned at her response, starting to feel hopeful again. "so, preffer to sit around and stare at the sky or relax in my quarters and enjoy the fruit?"...

Adeline was starting to feel tired after all that went on today. "I would prefer to get some rest...we've been through a lot today." She smiled, her eyes sparkling with love and care.

James nodded, grinning. "will do, Adeline". he turned around, and walked with Adeline to the Captain's quarters, and James showed Adeline to his bedroom, part of a small cabin below the main quarters, which could only be accessed by the stairs in his quarters; one of the things that set the Dragon apart from the Pearl...

Adeline stepped into his bedroom and looked around. She finally looked at James and gave him a light, innocent kiss on the cheek. "Thank you, James." She took off her boots and placed them neatly against the side wall before walking over to the bed and laying down in it. Another, deeper yawn escaped from her. She was amazed at how comfortable the bed felt. Then again, this was the Captain's quarters...

James grinned, and then moved towards the oddest piece of furniture ever to be found onboard a ship at the time; a large, full length couch. many times he had slept there instead of his bed, when he felt he was in the mood for a stiffer place to rest. often, he was energetic when he slept there, even if he had been drinking a barrel of rum the night before. he lay down, stretched, and relaxed, letting the day's events run through his mind...

Adeline snuggled under the covers and said, "Goodnight James" in a tired voice. She let out a deep breath and closed her eyes, trying to let sleep take her over. However, the thoughts that haunted her mind wouldn't go away. "How can I get them...to..." Another yawn escaped her. Was sleep finally taking over? Her breaths were more relaxed. She was finally in a deep slumber.

"G'Night Adeline" said James, still deep in though...

The next day, James was up before anyone else. he decided it was time to get his gear back in shape. he went up from his cabin and went to the quarters, and began cleaning his pistol, cloths, small bullet rams, and various other tools spread over a small side desk, next to the main one which carried the charts of his original planned voyage. he first wrapped a small, wet cloth over the Ram, and ran it down the barrel, to soak and wipe off any excess gunpowder, as he knew not doing so was dangerous. he continued to work on his pistol, his other tools and weapons lined up on the wall, waiting for him to finish...

Adeline was wrapped in the covers, mumbling something. She opened her eyes, then closed them again, not feeling in the mood to get up. The bed was too comfortable. She rolled, only to be found on the floor, tangled in the covers. At this, she moaned and cursed before finally getting up and untangling herself from the covers. "That was a very weird dream," she thought as she started to make the bed and looked around. Wait...where was Eric? This was not the cabin that they...memories from last night started to flood back in. Her eyes scanned around the room for James, but he was no where to be found. Before going up to look for him, Adeline straightened herself out the best she could and put her boots on. She headed over to the stairs and started to go up them. By the time she reached the Captain's quarters, she found James cleaning his pistol. She leaned against the wall, watching him and finally decided to make her presence known. "Good morning, James."

James was working on his pistol's trigger and testing a new powder that he had found among the cargo. Adeline's voice brought him from his concentration, and he pulled the trigger, igniting the gunpowder and, luckily, due to the small quantity, only left a small puff of smoke forming around James' head. he could imagine looking up to see Adeline cracking up, but kept his voice cheery regardless. "Ello Adeline. nice to see your up. the whole crew's sleeping like logs. i think we're the only ones awake at the moment. had a nice sleep?" he looked towards the door, and spotted Raphael standing at the bow., his large, dark and familiar form unmistakable even at that distance...

Adeline tried to stifle her laughter but it was useless. She didn't speak until she calmed down from her laughter. The smile never left her face. "Yes, it was wonderful." She went next to him and looked at the disapeering ring of smoke that formed around his head. "Aw, you have a halo," she exclaimed, clapping her hands together. "It looks good on you!"

James chuckled. "Me? a halo? that's like giving Barbossa wings and calling him an angel!" he started to laugh as he pictured Barbossa with large, white wings, telling people that peace is better than fighting. a familiar squak came as Rainbow flew in through one of the open windows, and landed on his perch. "Goood mooooooooooooorning! RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAK!" squaked Rainbow, looking at Adeline. James said "Oi, what about dear old James, 'ey?". Rainbow made a rather rude sound before squaking "Shutup, you loud mouthed Pirate! RAAAAAAAAAAK!". James said "Oi! no Rum covered mangos for you!". Rainbow made a low hissing noise and James chuckled. "Alright, alright, you'll get the mangos. but fix that language of yours!". Rainbow squaked "RAAAAAAAAAAK! Pirate! Parrot! RAAAAAAAAAAK!". James just sighed, and looked at Adeline. he mumbled "I guess he's spent a bit too much time talking to Elizabeth and Barbossa". he rolled his eyes in an "it's pointless" way, and then remembered something. "You were mumbling in your sleep last night. good dream?"...

Adeline couldn't stop her laughing as the conversation between James and Rainbow took place. "Now Rainbow, that's very rude," she scolded. "Be nice to James." She nodded in agreement to James' comment about Rainbow spending to much time with Barbossa and Elizabeth, and rolled her eyes playfully. "Ah well, what can you do with him? He's a free parrot." When James' asked about the dream, she blushed lightly, but nodded. "It was good, but a little weird too. How about you? Did you dream?"
