James chuckled. "And I missed not being with you. As for where i was, i had a talk to Raphael about not disturbing Eric's rest. He apparently had a terrible headache when he woke up, so i suggested he go back to bed. rest until he felt better. if he has what i had a couple of days ago, i think he'll be resting until tonight. that's if he wants to get rid of it completely. and that's about it".

"I hope he does nothing but rest for today," she mumbled. "He can be so stubborn sometimes though. It's like...ugh! Sometimes he's like a little kid. But anyway...enough about him. What are the plans for today?" She wanted to get off the subject of Eric and go back to something more pleasent, more cheery.

James grinned. "Well, im nearly done cleaning and sharpening me effects. after that, im going out onto the deck and see if my father's up yet, and if they've figured out how to get back. if not, well, we could have ourselves a little bit of music. your singing, Rainbow's whisteling, my guitar...lovely combination if you ask me. we could play the Song. it's been sung, we may as well make use of it. raise the morale a bit with the crew"...

"Ah, good plan then," she said with a smile and twirled a strand of her hair out of boredom. "It's almost like old times, have a little...celebration before we depart from this world." Another question suddenly popped up in her head. "Can I come with you to see your father? It would be nice to meet him."

James grinned. "Old times...except, once we're done with Beckett, we'll be doing this for fun rather than for a reason". when Adeline asked if she could meet Jack, James chuckled and said "Well, are you sure? I haven't been with my father for long, but i do know he likes to flirt. also, it'd be a good idea to do that before Eric gets up, as i've heard my father would kill a man who gets in the way, if he doesn't talk them into complete confusion first". James chuckled at the end of that sentence as he thought of what he had done to poor old Eric earlier...

"Hm, a flirt you say? It looks like some of your father rubbed off on you, and yes, I'm sure." She sprung up from her chair and clapped her hands together. "Oh, I have an idea! How about now?" She grabbed James' hands and tried to get him out of his own chair.

Adeline grinned and hugged James before walking with him out the door. Thankfully, the crew were still sleeping their heads off. She wondered what Jack would be like when they met him...

James walked across one of the planks that had been put up between the Pearl, Dragon and Dauntless, crossing from the Dragon to the Pearl, watching his father walk around on the deck, talking to himself about something he had found on the Map earlier. "Up is down...what could it mean?" he kept saying. he spotted his son walking over onto the ship, with a girl who, even with a dress, could stun any man. "Ello ello, and what do we 'ave 'ere. beautiful damsel i see. and what brings you two over here?"

Adeline made sure to stay by James' side when they went up to meet Captain Jack. She couldn't help but think about how much Jack and James looked alike when she saw him. "Hello there, Captain Jack," Adeline replied with a curtsie. "We just came over to see how you are doing...and what you're doing. My name is Adeline." She closed her mouth and gazed up at James, wondering if he would liked to add or say anything to his father. "Hm, flirt is right," she thought with amusement.

James chuckled and said "We wanted someone to let us know if you have figured out how we're going to get out of here". Jack said "My my, rushy little bugger, aren't you? just...do what we do, when we do". he then looked at Adeliner and said "but for now darling...'ows about we go get ourselves a drink?". Jack then saw Barbossa shouting orders, and whimpered, trying to choose between staying here with the girl his son had brought aboard, or defending his Captaincy. finally, he ran up to Barbossa, and started copying him. James chuckled as he watched. "No wonder they always call him CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow...he cant stand not being Captain" said James, laughing. Gibbs was walking around, grinning, but keeping quiet. "Aye. Jack cant stand not bein' Cap'n and Especially on the Pearl. anytime Barbossa starts givin orders Jack copies 'im". James could only chuckle as he watched his father. Barbossa yelled "what..Arr you doin'?". Jack responded "What're you doing?". Barbossa said "No, what ARR ya doin'?!". Jack said "What're YOU Doing?!". Barbossa yelled "NO, WHAT ARR YA DOIN'!?!". Jack said "Cap'n gives orders on his ship". Barbossa replied "The Captain IS givin' orders!". Jack went silent for a moment before saying "My ship, makes me cap'n". Barbossa said "They be my charts!". Jack said "Well that makes you...CHARTMAN!". what happened next nearly made James collapse with laughter. Pintel interrupted, yelling "STOP IT! THE BOTH OF YOU! THAT'S AN ORDER, UNDERSTAND!!?!?". Jack and Barbossa fell silent, and stared at him. Pintel then said "Sorry...i thought that with the captain issue in doubt that i'd throw my name in for consideration and uh....sorry!". Barbossa then started walking, Jack by his side copying him like a Parrot. Pintel backed against the rigging as Jack and Barbossa walked by. Ragetti said "Hey...I'd vote for ya". Barbossa went up to the wheel and opened his spyglass and looked forward. Jack grinned, and opened his own...only to find it was too short. he tugged against the back of the spyglass, but it was no use. it was nowhere near as long as Barbossa, he grumbled and walked back down. at that, James couldn't help but fall apart with laughter. He looked at Adeline and said "Seen enough?", all the while laughing so hard he'd probably die if he didn't stop soon...

Adeline laughed and blushed as Captain Jack asked about a drink. "I'm sorry, I can't drink," she said quietly, but then he started to walk away to have a chat with Barbossa. The whole time Captain Barbossa and Captain Jack Sparrow were bicerking about who was the boss on the Black Pearl. Then Pintel came and silenced both of them. At this, Adeline cracked up. She covered her mouth and held her stomach, for it was hurting with so much laughter. She didn't reply to James until she finally calmed down. "Oh, but James don't you want to spend a little more time with your father? He seems like a fun character." She was saying this in between the giggles that still refused to stop.

James sighed. "Well, true. but...". "anyone for a drink?" interrupted Jack. "Already 'ad one!" answered James. Jack grinned "Good lad! now 'ave another!". James sighed as a bottle of Rum was pushed into his and Adeline's hands as Jack turned around and walked off to look at the charts. "...he has a habit of pursuading you to do things he likes" said James, continuing where he left off. it was like looking at two Jacks when they talked to eachother. if it wasn't for James' black bandanna and more expensive looking effects, one would wonder who was who...

Adeline giggled some more and looked at the bottle of rum with a shake of her head. "Well, it's in Jack's nature, right?" She watched as Jack went over to look at the charts and couldn't help but be very curious at what he was doing. She decided to go over to see him. "Hey Captain, how is it looking so far?"

Jack sighed "not really, love. Up is down....what the devil would that mean? if me boots point up, and me 'ead points down...no, not it". James took a swig of rum, and thought about it. up is down... he thought...

"Up is down," Ageline murmured and thought about it, but nothing really popped up. "Up is down...up is the opposite of down, that's the only thing that pops into my mind."

James sighed. "I dont know what it might mean. i'm going to me cabin to think about it". James took a swig of the rum, and looked at Adeline. "Ready to go back to the ship?". right after he said that, Jack the Monkey between his legs and started chewing on something. James then saw Ragetti charging at him. "Me eye! give it back!". Jack the monkey started running and Ragetti, too focused on his eye to see who was in his way, rammed right into James, who fell forward as Ragetti tried to get between his legs running after the monkey. the crew collapsed with laughter as the two fell, but James had thrown his bottle forward, luckily caught by Gibbs, as he landed on his front hands, and flipped forward onto his feet...

"Yes, I'm ready," she answered, the riddle still stuck in her head. "Up is down...up is down," she thought, not really paying attention to Ragetti and the monkey until she heard a shout from Ragetti. "Wha?" She gasped when she saw James about to fall forward, then laughed when he did a handstand and flipped back up. "You're quite the acrobat, James! Come on, let's go back." She enterwined her hand with James' hand.

he gave a bow as he landed, some of the crew actually clapping and Jack looking at his son with a mixture of jealousy and pride. "Thank ye for that, mate" said James to Gibbs as he grabbed his bottle of rum. he said "Gimme a moment, Adeline. i'll be with you in a sec". he winked as he pulled Ragetti to his feet. he then looked at him and said "you dont need to be a monkey to catch a monkey, mate. simple fix". James then whisteled loudly. Rainbow flew in and grabbed the monkey by the shoulders, and lifted him over to James. James pryed the eyeball from the monkey's hand with his own free hand, the other still being in Adeline's, and pushed the eyeball into Ragetti's eye socket, and slapped him until it was straight. "Dont lose it!". James then walked off to Adeline, their hands not parting once during the scene after James' flip, as they went back to the Dragon, where the crew were now working hard, many of them barely containing their laughter at the scene that ha just unfolded on the Pearl......

The joyous smile on Adeline's face never faded as they left the Pearl and boarded the Dragon. She lay her head on James' shoulder, feeling quite relaxed after the events that unfolded. She let out a deep sigh of content.
