James walked over to the bow, and started to stare out at the sun. it was noon. he looked to his right to Adeline, who was resting her head on his shoulder. he grinned. she seemed so happy now. she was her old self again. James said "Hey, Adeline. in the mood for some music?". in the background, a monkey screech could be heard as Rainbow dropped Jack into a bucket of water...

"Ah yes, music. Music would be good right now," she answered. She lifted her head from James' shoulder and looked into his eyes. "Let's put on some music!" She ignored the monkey screeches and parrot squaks in the background. Now, it was their time.

James said "One minute". he then walked off, stumbling every few steps, almost drunkenly, looking frighteningly like Jack as he did so, as he walked into his Quarters. he came back out soon after, a guitar in hand, and walked up to the bow and sat down on a barrel. "So, what'd ya like? The Song? or a Pirate's Life for me?". his mention of The Song perked some crew members' ears up, and word soon reached Barbossa. He grinned. The Song, now that it had been sung, would serve as a brilliant thing to boost Morale aboard the ships...

Adeline thought about and observed the expressions on the crews' faces when James mentioned The Song. "Let's sing The Song," she finally answered and noticed that some of the crew cheered in agreement with her answer.

James nodded, and began to play the tune on his guitar. he started with single strings, Rainbow now standing by his side, whistling it in tune with the guitar...

Adeline waited for one or two minutes before finally entering and singing the words to the song. She kept her back straight and her chin held high as she sang. The crew slowly started to join along, one by one, singing in unison.

"The King and his men stole the queen from her bed
They bound her in her bones
The seas be ours
and by the powers
where we will we’ll roam.

Yo, ho, haul together,
hoist the Colors high.
Heave ho, thieves and beggars,
never shall we die.

Some men have died
and some are alive
and others sail on the sea
– with the keys to the cage…
and the Devil to pay
we lay to Fiddler’s Green!

The bell has been raised
from it’s watery grave…
Do you hear it’s sepulchral tone?
We are a call to all,
pay head the squall
and turn your sail toward home!

Yo, ho, haul together,
hoist the Colors high…
Heave ho, thieves and beggars,
never shall we die."

soon, James began to strum the tune. the crew began to sing the Song, and James joined in, playing it more and more intricately and singing the words. soon, the deck of the ship was bustling with activity as the crew went about their jobs singing the song, everything seemingly going more and more quickly and actively.

Yo, ho, haul together,
hoist the colors high.
Heave ho,
thieves and beggars,
never shall we die.

The king and his men
stole the queen from her bed
and bound her in her Bones.
The seas be ours
and by the powers
where we will we'll roam.

Yo, ho, haul together,
hoist the colors high.
Heave ho, thieves and beggars,
never shall we die.

Some men have died
and some are alive
and others sail on the sea
– with the keys to the cage...

soon, the Pearl's crew joined in, even Barbossa and Jack singing. and soon after that, the crew on the Dauntless. Yuke was playing a military Drum that had been on board the Dauntless, in tune with the guitar's music. the morale was lifted so much that soon, the crew had finished all their work and were merely standing and singing the song...

Adeline's eyes closed when she sang the song. She let the music take her over and started to sway. The crew started to join in the swaying and sang louder. When they got to the last line of the song Adeline opened her eyes back up to see the crew swaying along. "Never shall we die!" At this part, they all sang the loudest. Adeline finally stopped and took a breath.

The crew fell silent at the end of the song, as James began to play with the tune, transforming it into a flurry of well-placed tones which had the Crew stunned. it was literally awe-inspiring. several of the crew started to cheer at the end of it, and Barbossa yelled over "Thank ye, James! ye got the lads movin!". James grinned. "My pleasure, Barbossa! I enjoyed it!!". Jack yelled over after Barbossa stopped. "Bravo, mate! Bravo!" James grinned, as Jack walked back, stumbling over to the table with the charts, a bottle of rum in his hands. James looked at Adeline. "You sounded stunning. with a voice like that, Sirens would cry in jealousy!"...

Adeline watched in amazement as James played a solo on the guitar. He was really talented! First acrobatic tricks and now this! She was almost swooning as he played that tune on the guitar. When he was done and complimented on her voice, she curtised and said, "Thank you...but you and that guitar. James you are...you sounded spectacular with it! It was amazing." She was about to give him a kiss, but something in her mind told her no. "The hell with it!" She gave him a light kiss on the lips. "You are an amazing pirate."

James grinned after the kiss. "Wish i was always like this. seems spending time in the locker alone had it's benefits. playing around in the rigging knowing i cant die while im here gave me the acrobatics, and shear boredome made me play the songs i knew with my guitar. at least now i have more to join in than the clicks of crabs" said James sarcasticly. he wrapped his arm around Adeline's waist, and said "What do you say to a mug of chocolate milk?".

Adeline nodded and wrapped her arms around James' arm, laying her head on his shoulder. "A cup of chocolate milk would be wonderful."

James grinned. "Smith! a couple of mugs of milk, if ye dont mind!". Smith, a young crew member of 16, and one of the only original crew members, ran down to the galley, took a couple of wooden mugs, barrel like in appearance, ran off to the part of the ship where the livestock was kept, got the milk, and then returned to the galley, soon heating both mugs of milk and taking them up to James, who was now in the Quarters, Adeline in one of the chairs while he picked up the rum bottle which he had used to keep his chocolate milk. "Thank ye kindly, Smith". "Pleasure, Cap'n!" replied the boy as he left the quarters, going off to the galley. he put out the fire as there wasn't much chance of the fire being needed until night. James handed a now ready mug of Chocolate milk to Adeline, saying "Your drink, m'lady"...

Adeline grinned and nodded, saying, "Thank you, m' lord." Before drinking the chocolate milk, she held her mug up and exclaimed, "Drink up m' hearties, yo ho," and clanged it with James' mug. She took a little sip from her mug and closed her eyes at the sweet taste of the liquid.

James chuckled. "Me? a lord? I wish...one day though...one day" he said as he thought about the future. when this was all over, he'd take over a british colony, and start his own nation. a Pirate Nation. James took a sip from his chocolate milk, enjoying the flavour, as it was the last of it, and probably the last he would get for a while. Rainbow flew in through a window squaking "Never shall we die! RAAAAAAAAAK!", landing on his perch. James glared at him. "Thank you for spoiling the calm mood, Rainbow". Rainbow squaked "Pleasure, Cap'n!". James sighed. that was the exact same thing Smith said mere moments ago. He said "See? i told you he hears everything". he took another sip from his chocolate milk, and heard Rainbow squak "You cant escape me! you cant escape me! RAAAAAAAAK!". he then flew out the window again...

Adeline giggled when Rainbow entered, ruining the mood, and shook her head. "Yes, I can see that." She took another sip from her mug. She was really enjoying her time with James and glad that the bird flew out. Now it was just them in the cabin with nothing else to bother them.

Meanwhile, Eric was still in a very deep sleep. The empty rum bottle that was still in his hand fell out. He mumbled something and rolled over. "Stupid bird...shoot."

James said "So Adeline, what exactly do you intend to do when we're finally back? i may have to join Barbossa and the other Pirates against Beckett, but what about you?"...

Adeline sighed and thought about before answering. She was focusing her eyes on her mug of chocolate milk. "To tell you the truth, I don't know." There was a frown on her face. "I can't join you if I have this...growing inside of me." She lay her hand on her stomach. "I am probably going to have to go back t-to land." Her heart was breaking at the thought of leaving all of her friends, but most of all...James.

James sighed at the thought. he didn't know what he'd do if Adeline got stuck to land....but then...an idea hit him. "What about raising the child at sea?" he suggested, a sudden glint in his eye. he could drop her off somewhere while he went to fight against Beckett...and that damned squid faced Pirate Davy Jones, and afterwards, return to Adeline, and then the child could be raised to love the sea...a true sailor...

Adeline perked up a little at James' suggestion. "A child at sea," she said quietly. "That's a, a great idea, James, it really is. But there is only one problem." She shivered at the thought of her husband and finally said the word. "Eric." That word made her think of him and what he could be doing right now. All day, while she was on the deck with James, she couldn't see Eric, but then again, she wasn't really paying attention what was around the ship. She was only paying attention to James. Where was he and what was he doing?
