You don't have to be a dino. When the dino's era ends you can be a animal in the ice age era. Wait your right....It would end either way :(

What about an Apocolypse rpg? It starts just before a Meteor hits or something like that. The rpg is our characters trying to survive in a world where the Climate has changed considerably. Mutants and other monsters roam about the place. Food would be one of the most pressing issues. Maybe guns would be very rare aswell. And as humans are, fights would break out over things like food and water.
Most of the earths people are dead. Cities ruined. No power. Besides small generators. So maybe access to small scale lighting or electronics. Just a suggestion.

Yeah, that does sound good.

And I mean it could be another planet we live on not Earth but in a galaxy that exists far away (no not Star Wars)

I doubt a Star Wars RPG is good, too much kill, kill, kill.

Star wars rpg.... Not nescessarily kill kill kill.
You have to think on a wider scale. Instead of being a soilder you could be some prince. A spoiled kid whos parents want to grow up to be the next ruler. So what do you do? gang up with your freinds grab a bucket of a ship and go on an interplanatery road trip. Thats what I would do.

A Star Wars RPG would not just be kill kill because of the sheer scale of it. The setting is an entire galaxy!

Yeah but we'd have the same guys just fighting, what, we just kill Sith lord after Lord Sith. Lord Sith's will always be the main antagonists in any star wars referance.

But then we'd have powerplaying such as using force powers like gravity or lightning. I'm just saying as much as a Star Wars RPG would sound wonderful and all it still has its drawbacks like any RPG.

Well what about Dinotopia RPG? Remember, they don't allow people to use weapons as they can be used against them. Dinotopia RPG could be quite good, we all know the places in it such as Waterfall City, the capital of the island. And then you got the Rainy Basin, home to the carnivores especially Tyrannosaurus as well as the Orchard Farms out in the country side where apprentices have their path chosen for them. You got other farms and smaller towns and the swamp which is one of the gateways to the World Beneath (and then there is one in the ocean which is guarded by Dunkleosteos the prehistoric fish the size of a Great White Shark). And the croc infested parts of the swamp.

It could work. Better than having conflict all the time.

I've seen a lot of Star Wars RPG's though they are quite good. Still I'd like to see a Dinotopia RPG.

Now that i have enough people backing me up, I'll think of a good plot:

It is set in Waterfall city. Time itself does not make much difference in Dinotopia. But it is around the 20th Century (same time as in the Dinotopia Movie) and there have been reports that the Tyrannosaurus Herd has returned back to the Rainy Basin. However there have been reports of other predators around at farms and other places causing problems. You are to go out and observe them. Take caution as some of these predators in particular have been found to be extremely dangerous. You must discover what is causing the problems and fix them up.

Rules:

1. I doubt Powerplaying is going to be a problem here but there is a chance someone might try to. So no Powerplaying.

2. You have a choice of one weapon and that's a mallet (if you have played Dinotopia the game for Xbox then you would know it)

3. Your partner can be a herbivore and you can have a choice out of a few of the small carnivores like Deinonychus but you may only have one partner dino. Larger carnivores like Tyrannosaurus are not permitted (and neither is Giganotosaurus, they are guardians of the Rainy Basin even though they are harmless to humans).

4. You can choose your role out of a farmer, skybax rider (choose that and you must use Quetzalcoatlas), librarian or Explorer.

5. Your dino partner must be one from the book series or movies, however you choose.

6. Everyone starts out in Waterfall city, you may decide how you wish to travel.

7. As usual, no killing off another player and you may not use other weapons other than the hammer skybax riders though will have slings instead of hammers.

EDIT: Actually i was thinking a librarian is another choice. Also you may want search out a guide on the Dino alphabet if needed. Remember dinosaurs use footprints for their alphabet but have them pointed in different directions.

Yes that'd be fine but i need the All Clear from the admin first before i can make it Scavenger. I have PM'd Kingpin and are awaiting his reply.

This idea could work, I mean think about it, Dinotopians don't belive in the use of weapons as they can be used on themselves. Only use your weapon if you are in dire need to use it. Small carnivores like Compsognathus, Stenonychosaurus and Ceratosaurus won't attack. But most of the large carnivores will except the Giganotosaurs who (if you've read the books), are harmless. Your dinosaur may fight but you can equip it with armor also.

Yeah Dryosaur is fine. They are in the series in the books. There is also Dinocheirus but they are only in the races they have in Dinotopia.

You can also be a Healer i should mention, as i see it, like in the movie a healer (like the king's daughter) is able to revive others if needed to.

Dilophosaurus are kinda small. Do they count as big non partner perdators? If so then instead of DilO I want a Moschops. and I would be an Explorer.

And can your partner dinos talk like the lirbrarian dino in the movie?
