Adeline literaly jumped out of bed and shouted when she felt something cold and wet come down on her. Her eyes were wide, looking around for the one who was responsible for it. "James," she shouted and folded her hands. "Why did you do that, for? You could've just...well, I don't know!" She took a pillow and swatted him with it.

James chuckled as he was hit with the pillow. "Can't say i didn't warn you. sleeping in makes you lazy. a lazy captain is not a long standing captain" he said playfully, putting the jug down on the chest as he took another swig of the Ale, before putting that down too. he pointed at his wardrobe cabinet. "I can remember having one or two outfits in there strikingly similar to your old one. spare clothes are always handy. pick something out and i'll see you in the quarters in a few minutes" he said cheerfully as he picked up his ale and jug of water and walked up the steps to his Quarters...

Adeline folded her arms and huffed as James gave his small speech about how a lazy captain is not a long standing one. She rolled her eyes and eventually smiled, shaking her head. "Yes, yes. I know," she said with a sigh. When he talked about there being an outfit, similar to her old one, she almost beamed. "No more...dresses," she thought happily and got up from the bed to head over to the wardrobe. She picked out a white cotton blouse and black pants and sighed in relief, closing her eyes. Finally, no more dresses for her, though she did like the one that Eric gave her, the one that she was wearing now. "I'll save it." She quickly changed into the white shirt and black pants, then tried to dry her wet hair. "James, James, James," she thought with a shake of her head. "You never cease to amaze me." When she was sure that she was good to go, she folded her wet clothes neatly and headed up the stairs to meet with James. She felt like her old self again.

James grinned as Adeline walked up the stairs. "Much better. you always did look better in that sort of outfit than you did in dresses, even though that last one didn't look half bad on you. how's an Ale sound to you?" said James with a grin, happy to see the Adeline he knew again...

Adeline beamed. "I feel much better," she exclaimed, but then blushed when he mentioned about an ale. "I don't think I can have an ale. I'm...you know." She didn't feel comfortable saying that she was with child yet. It was awkward.

James nodded. "Of course. well, water's available, though im not to sure you want to see it for a little while after that little incident a few minutes ago. milk, perhaps? maybe even some juice if you wouldn't mind it being a bit lumpy" he said...

Adeline thought about it and finally came to a decision. "I think milk would do," she replied cheerfully and chuckled. "You're right, no water for me, at least today."

James nodded. "One moment" he said as he walked out of the Quarters, giving a greeting nod to Raphael, and then Nathan at the wheel, the two being the only crew members awake, and walked down to the galley, picking up a mug and taking it to where the livestock was kept. after he got the milk he walked back up, making a short stop near Eric's cabin to listen in for any sound that he was awake, and, hearing none, walked back to the Galley, heated the milk on the fire that had been started in the stone fireplace by Smith, a surprising third awake and active crewmember, then went up to the deck, and then to the Quarters. he handed the mug to Adeline and said "If only those damned crabs hadn't consumed that other sack...it would've been chocolate milk you were drinking. still, i suppose this is good enough?"...

Adeline said a quiet thank you to James and took a sip from the mug. "Yes, it is still good," she said with a nod of approval. "It's refreshing."

James grinned and then went over to the bowl of fruit, and picked himself an orange and started pealing it...

Adeline continued to drink her milk. The milk calmed her. She looked down at her mug and sighed thoughtfully. "What is the plan for today," she finally asked, breaking the silence.

James said "We should be arriving at Shipwreck Cove soon. when we arrive, the Bretheren Court takes place...and i might be meeting my grandfather"...

Adeline looked up. "Oh really? That sounds like an interesting reunion. First your father, now this. How do you know he's going to be there?"

James said "Well, i've been told stories that a man keeps The Pirate Codex. last i heard, my grandfather was in charge. i wont be going right at him of course. it takes a truly powerful pirate to get up to that point. he's like a leader of pirates. feared by all. he's not very well known, but those who do know him fear him almost as much as Davy Jones"...

"He's that powerful over them? Wow," said Adeline thoughtfully, closing her eyes, imagining James' grandfather sitting on a throne like a king. She then started to wonder about James' grandmother. Was he going to see her too? "How about your grandmother?"

James shrugged. "Dont know about her. i only know of my grandfather from the occasional story i hear from Gibbs. my grandmother i know nothing about". he had finished his orange, and was now playing with the dagger he cut it with, letting it roll in his fingers...

Adeline raised an eyebrow. "That's strange. Did you ever think of asking Gibbs about her? If he knows about your grandfather, he must know something about your grandmother...or you could try asking your father about her."

James said "He's avoided talking about it. he has this odd habit of getting distracted. happened so many times that i just decided i'd wait and find out when i actually meet my grandfather"...

"Ok. That's still a little strange." Adeline finished the rest of her milk and got up from the chair. "Let's go out. We need some fresh air," she suggested and smiled.

Meanwhile, Eric was sleeping his head off. His hand was hanging over the bed side and the covers were covering his face. He woke up to find himself staring into the fabric of his sheets. He groaned, scrambled out of bed and got himself ready for the day. He scanned around the room for Adeline, but found that she wasn't here again! Where could she be disappearing to? That was two nights in a row. He grumbled and stepped out of the cabin, making his way to the deck.

James nodded. "One moment". he went over to his chair, and put on his hat and coat, and picked up a couple of oranges from the fruit bowl he had on the desk, and said "Let's go"...
