a black Jeep Grand Cherokee parked outside the large Shipyard. Elsie Chapman and Mendel Craven hopped out of the vehicle and walked up the stairs on the outside of the building, and knocked on the door. "Nick? it's me, Elsie!". Nick walked over to the door, and opened it, then closed it as soon as Mendel had walked in, locking it behind them. "Woah woah woah, what's going on with you?" asked Elsie. Nick turned around and said "uuh...you know how some animals seem to just...become attached to the first thing that smells like them? as if it's their parent?". Elsie, confused said "Yeeaahh....but what's that have to do with anything?". Nick said "One's survived". "Elsie looked at him, confused for a moment, then went pale. "WHAT?! how?! where?!". Nick turned around and said "Follow me". he walked out a door and onto a Balcony. a large head raised over the side of the Balcony, and a low, almost warm growl came from the source; a massive black beast with a slightly lighter coloured underside and two red lines on either side of it's rows of spikes. it had orange eyes with a white oval pupil, pointed on the top and bottom, like a lizard's. it was, by now, probably 25 feet tall. Nick heard it growl as it opened it's mouth, and backed away worriedly. then he got a lick that sent him to the floor. Elsie didn't know whether to scream in fear or fall to the ground laughing wildly at the scene. "blukh!" said Nick as he tried to wipe it off with his jacket. a nudge from the young Godzilla brought his attention back to his surroundings. "He thinks im his father". Elsie stared at him wide eyed. "WHAT?!" she said, a combination of shock and anger in her voice, along with a note of fear. Nick calmly said "How else do you explain why he didn't eat me when he had the chance? when i was walking down there by the water he climbed out and looked at me. he sniffed me a couple of times, picked me up, put me down over near the wall, and curled up at my feet. i try and go to the office to call Hicks, and he follows, no note of aggression in his behaviour. i reconsider, and decide that, seeing as he's NOT hostile, we should study him". Elsie said "ARE YOU CRAZY?! THAT THING COULD KILL US! IM CALLING HICKS!". the aggressive note in her voice brought a warning snarl from the juvenile Godzilla, whose head was now inches from her. "UUh...nice Godzilla....stay away". Nick said "Godzilla! Godzilla! stay away!". Bane turned to face his father. he was very small, but he smelled like his father. so he must be. he listened to his father. looking at his movements, he was pointing away, away from the other small being with him. Bane complied and backed away. he made a curious growl and cocked his head slightly. he stared at his parent, wondering what would happen next. "this is the closest thing to a dinosaur we have right now. your a Paleontologist, right? why the rush to kill the only living specimen left?". Mendel said "Uuuh, Common sense? Past experience? 23 billion in property damage from his old man?". Nick eyed Craven for a moment, who went silent. "Look, i've been right about this thing so far. just trust me". a door opened behind them as a man walked out of another office in the building. "Sup Boss?" said the man, clad in tan bermudas, a black T-Shirt and with rather wild looking hair, with a hispanic complexion and features that would remind one of 50 Cent without facial hair. "guys, i'd like you to meet my assistant, Randy Hernandez". spotting Elsie, he said "Pleasure's all yours". "That's just the way i like it" responded Elsie, moving her hand out of Randy's just as he was about to kiss it, making him kiss his own hand instead. "Randy was the one who was giving me a hand with the original Godzilla"...
NOTE: yes i DO know that im doing something almost identical to GTS through the start. it was comical and could keep me interested in the G-E-W longer than any personal revenge plot could...
