Rutus snarled "And so the thief does!". then, the large mount of moss and vines squirmed, and as the moss receaded and the vines fell off, Acacius was revealed, all but his head covered in what looked like slugs, a loud roar of pain coming from the Dragon. "You disappoint me Acacius. You were the pride of our flight. you were my closest friend. and you betrayed me. and now...you suffer the concequences". a yellowish liquid began to seep from the parasitic slug-like creatures, and what looked like smoke came from beneath them. an extremely powerful acid was being poured onto Acacius' skin. a shriek of pain came from the Dragon, as he squirmed and tried to free himself, unable because of the vines that still held his clawed limbs in place...

Garroth said nothing but was horrified and nearly gagged at the sight of the torture. He went very pale indeed. Alairoth said nothing and was motionless. The two wondered what was going to happen next...

"Garroth, you are to accompany me on meetings with the Emperors in the future" growled the Green Emperor. "As for you, Alairoth, thank you for coming here. I no longer require your presence, so you may leave if you wish". the Green Emperor growled at the now squirming inferior before him, covered in Slugs and being covered in moss and vines once again, finally stopping his movement, a paralyzing venom having been pumped into his body by barbs on the vines. another set of vines kept him awake and kept his hunger and thirst satisfied, it's barbs magically designed to keep the target alive while it was immobile, even preventing it from sleeping. Rutus planned to punish his follower for his actions...and then release him. his mental scars would be a sign to all as to what happens to thieves...

2 months later, the mighty Red Emperor stood atop his mountain home, looking out at the numerous coloured Dragons heading his way. Green, Silver, Blue, Gold, Purple and White Dragons, all heading towards him. he prepared himself mentally for the meeting ahead, the first since the unfortunate event two months prior when the group of dragons were captured attempting to lie to the Blue Emperor, Balmeer...

Setrinus was busy, pacing in her cave, waiting for her mother to arrive. She sighed, frustrated, wondering when she would be back and why she told her to stay put here. Her and her sometimes strange ways, she thought as she halted, glanced the way of the enterance, sighed, and continued pacing again.

Finally, there was a flap of wings followed by some thuds. The blue dragon female raised an eye ridge in suspision. When she reached the enterance, she couldn't up but stare...

There her mother was standing with another, darker colored blue dragon. What the hell...? she thought as she went from one to the other. "Mother...? What, would you mind telling me who is this?" Setrinus had a puzzled look on her face as she continued to look from one dragon to the other.

Her mother exchanged glances with the male dragon before speaking to her daughter. "Setrinus, this is Farthatos." She glanced the male's way once more, and nodded for him to take a closer step to her daughter.

He shifted from side to side nervously before carefully taking a step closer to Setrinus. His eyes were respectfully looking into Setrinus' eyes. He lowered his head in respect. "It is nice to finally meet you, Setrinus," he growled while keeping his head lowered.

Setrinus cocked her head to one side, even more confused. "It is a pleasure to meet you too, Farthatos." She looked up at her mother before gazing back down at Farthatos. "Farthatos, would you mind excusing my mother and I?"

Farthatos slowly looked up when Setrinus said his name. He nodded. "As you wish." He exchanged glances with Setrinus' mother once more before walking out.

Setrinus closed her eyes and sighed before staring at her mother. "What did he mean when he said it was nice to finally meet me? Have you been speaking with other males without my knowing?"

Her mother smiled faintly. "Oh Setrinus...I am worried about you not socializing with the other dragons. It is not good for you to isolate yourself from them. I don't want you to end up alone. All I am asking is for you to spend some time with Farthatos. He is kind and respectful."

"I see..." She trailed off thoughtfully and sat down. "How long have you been talking to him?"

"It started four weeks ago," growled her mother truthfully. "I told him many things about you."

"And yet you fail to tell your own daughter about him?" She shook her head, disappointed. "Very well. I will spend some time with Farthatos. Allow him in."

Her mother lit up at the answer her daughter gave. "Farthatos, you may come in now," she answered. When the male came, she smiled and gazed at her daughter. "I take my leave, for now. I will see you later. Farewell." And with that, the older female walked out of the cave and took off...

It was now 2 months after the mystery of the theft of Rutus's precious Alerial Gem was solved. Garroth and his friends were freed and were back at the training grounds practicing. Whenever Rutus would be off at meetings, so would he. He was proud to take up this role and would not fail his lord...

Stimeak came bareling out of the clouds above Inferno. Stimeak glanced behind himself grinning and then started circled his way towards the ground. The other emperors were still off in the distance. He landed with a thud next to inferno and growled cheerfully "We meet again Inferno, How have you been?" he folded his wings calmy keeping his head raised. While most dragons would've bowed to those of higher rank but Stimeak had long abbandoned courtesy and he didn't plan on enforcing it on Neltharion either. They had spent the last two months rooting out the harrpies nest. It seemed that Rainbow feather and been cast out with only a few of her followers and the rest of the clan was sworn to finding a way of hurting the two Dragons.

Neltharion landed a few feet from Stimeak, stumbling, finally falling, sliding a short distance. He stood quickly, turning back to look at Inferno and Stimeak. Uh...Ya...Hi... Neltharion growled, grinning. He had grown a small amount from the last time they had seen Inferno, but it was barely noticeable. Neltharion glanced at the approaching dragons, before looking back at his mentor and Inferno, still grinning.

Inferno grinned. "Hello Stimeak, Neltharion. Decided you'd turn up for the meeting, did you? a bit surprising considering the reaction you had last time. Regardless, you're welcome to stay. this meeting will likely be brief. it's more or less a progress report on what we've done and how long we think it'll take before we're truly ready to start an offensive" he growled as he stretched his neck muscles, resulting in a number of loud cracks, his wings making a similar noise as they were stretched...

Setrinus did as her mother had asked and started to spend time with Farthatos, conversing with him and walking with him. She stopped and gazed at the other blue dragons that were in the sky, sighing. She looked down at the bracelet Inferno gave her and smiled lightly.

Farthatos cocked his head and frowned a little when he noticed that Setrinus didn't look all that happy. "Is there anything wrong? Do you want me to...to leave?" Perhaps she needed some time to herself now. So far, two hours passed and all they were doing was talking to each other, telling each other about one another. Of course, Farthatos knew quite a bit about Setrinus, but only by her phyiscal description. He wanted to know more, but her mother insisted that he waited until he finally met her. She has an interesting mind, that's for sure. And she is calm and patient.

Setrinus glanced up at Farthatos and smiled faintly. "Oh...no, no. I like your company, Farthatos, really. It's just that, well...I just have some things on my mind." She laid down on the ground and continued to look out to the sea.

Farthatos glanced down at Setrinus' bracelet with a look of curiousity and wonder on his reptillian face. "Where did you get that," he managed to ask softly.

"It was a gift from the Red Emperor," growled Setrinus softly, her eyes twinkling as she remembered the day. Her jaws curled into a smile and a soft laugh escaped her. "He was kind, interesting, and comfortable to talk to. You know, he uses his fire to heat up his food. Isn't that interesting? Anyway, I guess this bracelet enables me to do the same."

"The Red Emperor, you met the Red Emperor? You must be one special dragon then to do that," he commented, while she just laughed and shook her head.

"Oh, no. He saved me, actually. You see, I was...erm, eavesdropping on one of the meetings because I was curious as to what they were talking about. Well, the Blue Emperor spotted me and thought that I was a spy, so he commanded his guards to lock me away. The Red Emperor, Inferno is his name stopped them and told the Purple Emperor to check my mind. She did so and saw that I was innocent. After the meeting was over, we talked for a little while." The smile still stayed on her face as she remembered that day.

The male dragon smiled. "Huh, that's interesting. He sounds like a good Emperor. Anyway...heated fish? What does that taste like?"

"Oh, you MUST try it sometime! It tastes better than raw fish," exclaimed Setrinus, chuckling. "I'll tell you what. Go catch a fish and bring it back here. Today, you shall have your first taste of heated fish."

Farthatos beamed and bowed to her. "I will go get it right away, Setrinus. Don't you worry." With that, the eager blue dragon took off and flew down toward the sea while Setrinus watched with an amused expression on her face.

Stimeak shook his head and growled jokingly to Neltharion "Nice landing" He turned his attention to Inferno and hissed "We've got nothing better to do, besides, I wouldn't pass up the opertunity to see how badly the Royal families are copeing. Gives us a chance to see past the legends. I grew up being constantly bombarded by tales of the "great and wise Chronos" I perfer to take my own persepctive."

Inferno chuckled a bit, growling "Well, perhaps not as good as legends claim, but still nothing to ignore. everyone is flawed in some way or another, and many exxagerate their claims. but i assure you, Chronos, today, isn't likely here for that purpose. according to the other Emperors, he has apparently become power hungry, which, although is hard to believe, is more or less what the recent invasion on our previous meeting, those Green Dragons. according to Rutus, the result of his questioning was that Chronos had sent them off to covertly collect the Alariel Gems so that he could somehow unite them, which, according to legend, is impossible, without destroying it's holder". Inferno counted 6 Dragons. in the center flew the Gold and White Emperors, Chronos and Vitae, their massive wings beating powerfully, their shear size dwarving all others. Inferno looked forward to the day he'd be even close to being that massive. Mortus had been second only to Chronos, with no one other than Vitae even coming close to matching him. by Chronos' side came Morian and Balmeer, while on Vitae's side came Rutus and Drionach. Inferno let out a loud, booming roar, welcoming them into his domain. as the Emperors split up, and landed around the mountain, and walked towards the entrance as Inferno made his way down from the peak, jumping off hard and landing right infront of the entrance with a loud, ground shaking thud...

Neltharion watched as Inferno lept down to greet the other dragons, turning to Stimeak. And so it begins... he grunted, smirking. The black dragon had hoped this meeting would be more interesting then the last, but he was ready to find something to amuse himself if the dragons proved to be boring. Neltharion glanced around the mountain, suddenly seeing something off in the distance. He leaned forward, only seeing a dim shine of blue. Neltharion shook his head, turning back to Stimeak, waiting...

A short distance from the Emperors, a pure white figure trotted along, coming closer and closer to the meeting. The creature had only come to this region for this moment, almost unnoticed because of his far smaller size. Kushala stopped finally, now closer then ever to the emperor dragons, concealing himself behind a rock formation, only the faint glow of blue hinting at his presence...

Stimeak smirked and growled "Just tell me if you get bored, chances are I will be too.."He leapt down landing beside Inferno with a thud. He met Drionachs eyes for a second but both dragons looked away.

Inferno spread his wings in a stretch, before bringing them around in front of him. "Welcome to my home, Emperors. For those of you who don't already know, on either side of me are my good friends Stimeak and Neltharion. they will be accompanying us for today's meeting. please, come inside and then we'll take care of other matters". the Dragons bowed their heads slightly, getting a return bow from Inferno in return. the walked into the entrance of his cavernous home, walking down the golden steps before finally reaching a large room, filled with a gentle, warming red light, with numerous multi coloured gems lining the walls, each glowing with it's individual colours. Red, Blue, Green, Gold, White, Silver, Black and Purple gems illuminated the room, each one of the large gems lighting up their area of the room in their own light. the room was almost perfectly round, and so tall that if Chronos was twice as tall as he already was, he would still have a few feet of room above his head. Inferno stood in front of the Red gem, which was slightly larger than the others and in the shape of a Red Dragon with it's wings spread, a plume of fire made of an orange gem coming from it's jaws, it's eyes glowing a rich, bright royal blue. looking towards the center of the room as the other Dragons took their places, and waiting for them to get comfortable...

Stimeak took up a spot on Infernos right hand side. He looked around in awe at the cavern. But what really intressted him was the gems. He tapped a few with his claws, wishing that he could take them. When they were young, He and Drionach used to spend long hours making various peices of jewlery with gems. Crafting Necklaces, crowns, medallions, braces, all sorts of things. hey worked as a team in those occasions. Both of them would work together to build two seperate peices and then take one each to claim as their own work and give it as a gift to whoever they wanted. It was hard and long work often taking them a month to get them perfect, but the result was worth it. Infact, at the moment Stimeak was making a medallion useing various gems he had stolen over the years as a gift to Neltharion whn the black dragon decided to leave. Without Drionach it was alot more difficult but he managed. He was taken out've his trance remembering the meeting and he settled down calmly, looking around at everyone.

Neltharion followed Stimeak inside, glancing around the cavern, sitting down next to Stimeak, not really paying any attention to the dragons around him, only continueing to glance around the cavern in awe. Neltharion glanced at Stimeak and Inferno before turning around, continueing to eye the cavern.

A small flare of light came from the orange gem that represented the Red Dragon Gem's flame, for a moment the stone coming to life in the form of a plume of fire on the cave wall, which seemed to move in slow motion, as was the case with all the other gems, all of which glowed dimly, making a soothing and almost laziness inducing atmosphere throughout the massive chamber. The flame of the Red Dragon Gem finally reached full bloom, lighting up the area behind Inferno, though not much heat or light was coming from it, it's warmth comforting to anyone near it, soothing even those who usually disliked heat. The Red Dragon gem itself was twice the size of Inferno, and only one and a half times the size of the other gems, being built within the Red Dragon Realm, made for the Red Dragons themselves. The massive red Dragon shaped Gem glowed dimly with warming red light, wisps of misty energy swirling within the gem. Empress Morian took her place in front of a rich Bluish Purple gem that seemed to have swirls of smoke-like energy inside and around the gem, whisps of it reaching out with smoky tendrils every few moments before being drawn back in. Emperor Balmeer took his place before a large Blue gem that had what looked like a ring of water circling around it in the rock, framing it's feral eye like shape similar to the other gems, the stream going around the large gem, a silvery distortion over the gem that looked like water washing down over it. Emperor Rutus, following suit, took his place in front of the green gem, which seemed to be surrounded by moss, a few various coloured flowers and roots around the gem as well as a swirling energy within it, being quite interesting to look at. Emperor Chronos slowly took his place in front of the Golden decoration gem, which seemed to be clouded over in golden/silver dust within the gem, the area around it crusted with silver/gold powder, a silvery golden pulse of energy within the gem itself being rather unusual to say the least. Emperor Drionach, now standing before his own gem, a silver gemstone seemingly surrouded by mist, a cool grey light coming from within it. Emperor Vitae, the last of the Emperors to enter the cavernous home of Inferno, walked towards his own place, standing before a pure white gem which lazily pulsed with white light, though not being very powerful so as not to disturb those who looked at the magnificent, pearlescent gem. All but one of the 8 places were occupied now. The place before a large black gem, the rock around it turning an abrupt black colour, the gem itself glowing dimly with grey light, a pulse of strange black light coming from it every now and then, dark coloured, but still powerful enough to be considered light. Swirls of misty grey energy could be seen spinning within the massive gemstone. A number of thin, tall collumns around the room, one between each of the large gems on the walls, burst to life as flames erupted from the tips, starting off with Phoenix shaped flame forms taking flight and circling around the room. Inferno was happy with that little touch. It took a while of thinking to come up with that little extra welcoming trick to add to the already present gems. It was simple, yet impressive. the Warm, Welcoming atmosphere that had been created by the room was something he was truly proud of. as Fieras walked in from a chamber from deeper in the caverns, she nodded to the Emperors as well as Stimeak and Neltharion, before taking her place at Inferno's side. deciding it was time to begin, Inferno growled "It pleases me that you could find the time to meet here. Now that we're all here, let's get to the matter at hand. If my memory serves me correctly, our last meeting was one regarding the planned offensive on the Industrialists. Personally, I have been training in the most advanced forms of Fire Magic, with the help of my father, Flammus, and the Fire Elementals. The Imperial Guard are also being taught similar magic, but they're already more than capable of handling themselves in the battle. What can you tell me of recent events regarding the matter?". "Well, one of my followers has managed to get close to the leader of one of the major Industrialist towns, and he is more or less under our control. The Purple Dragons who I have chosen to accompany me during our eventual attack are the greatest Psychic Magic wielders at my disposal" Growled Empress Morian. Inferno nodded before looking at Balmeer. "My Personal Royal Guard are being trained in advanced Water magic, since they are the most skilled of my kind. I have full confidence in their abilities" Growled the Blue Emperor. "My spies have the curse stones in position. Now I more or less have complete control over their crops. I intend to kill all of it off as soon as our meeting is over. A number of Royal Green Dragons are being trained in the use of camouflage magic, to help us get as close as possible to the Industrialists so that we can truly annihilate them" Growled Rutus. For now, Chronos was silent, and attention was put on Drionach. "And what advances have you made, Drionach?" Growled Emperor Balmeer...

Garroth stood out on the huge area of dust. Huge rocky pillars surrounded him. He stood on two feet, motionless with his eyes close. His claws were crossed over his chest as he prepared to cast magic. His eyes opened and suddenly green light began to glow in his claws and then green flames came out on his hands. The flames grew bigger and when they got to the size of bowling balls, Garroth roared and before firing the flames at the rock pillar adjacent to him. The flames exploded upon impact. The pillar cracked but though the attack was devastating, the pillar stood there still. Garroth seemed to stop for a minute and study his work. So far...so good... He thought to himself as he focused again on the magic...

Drionach relied calmly "My Imperial guard have been training and we are ready to mount a full assault. We have been sending fog over their lands for a while and it should conceal our approach for some time at least. I also have some of my best spell casters preparing a storm cell in the mountains with the intent on unleashing it a few days before the battle. It is larger than any storm we have ever cast and will easily cripple their infastructure and destroy their morale" Then he muttered something to the dragon with im that he brought as his guard.

Stimeak raised his head in intrest, but not at what was said. he still held the beleif that an attack on the industrialists was foolish. The dragon that Drionach had brought with him had been stareing at him for a while. Only now did he realise who it was. ShimmerWing, his old freind....

"And where am i to stand in this?" asked Chronos, almost too calmly. "You, Chronos, should worry more about our trust in you than your stance in a war". the Golden Dragon grunted "And that would be...why?". "Being the one who sent a bunch of my flight along with one of your own to collect the Alariel Gems and bring them to you, i think you know exactly what i mean". "Me? you think I, of all Dragons, would want to take the gems for myself? I already hate being seen as so powerful it's bordering on me being worshipped" responded the Golden Dragon. "Your followers told me what happened down to the last detail" snarled Rutus. "Followers?! I move whole ages away just to escape those who know me!". "Ah, but your majesty, you remember that young Green Dragon Garroth, from the Hall of Ancients?" whispered an ancient looking Golden Dragon by Chronos' side. "What're you talking about? who is this Garroth?!" snarled Chronos, angered. "I am sorry, Chronos. we all are. but you know that such attempts can't be risked. a failure like Salazar's can't be risked again. it was only through extreme luck that we managed to gain command over the gems and bring order back. a repeat in that will not be tolerated. im afraid that, for attempting such a dangerous thing to all our freedoms, we are left with no other choice". growled Balmeer. "And what do you mean by that?" responded Chronos. a ring of red energy built up around him and he felt himself being drained. after it was over, he panted, recovering, only hearing Balmeer say "You are no longer Emperor, or a member of the Order. your second in command is to take your place. I am sorry". Chronos looked up, his eyes glowing with anger. he tried to use magic to freeze time, to try and talk some sense into them, but it was too late. his position taken, half his power removed, he was no longer capable of using his magic on Emperor Dragons. "But...but you can't do this to me! I'm not the one responsible for it!" growled the Former Golden Emperor, but his words were unheard. with a snarl, he turned. "then i see my presence and help are no longer required" he growled, angered but calm. he walked back to the entrance, and leapt off the ledge, flying off towards the mountains in the east which he had called his home before becoming Emperor...he needed time to think. behind him, his Political advisor followed, a faint Draconic grin on his face...his master's plan was working perfectly...

Meanwhile...

"I still don't feel right about this" growled Inferno. "None of us like the thought of doing this to Chronos. he was an old friend. but when he starts doing things like this, it's evident his worth as a leader has run it's course. leave him in power, and he may do things even more dangerous than that" growled Rutus. "I suppose you're right...but still...i sense something's wrong...something's not right about Chronos doing this". "All we can do is hope he can't do any more damage" growled Balmeer. "Life takes unexpected turns...one must learn to face them..regardless of what troubles they pose.........back to the matter we were discussing before this unfortunate event, i am prepared to lead a full frontal assault of their forces. if we stand united, we will be more than capable of crushing them. the question is, how fast a pace should we do it? too fast, and we'll immediately be hit by the Demons once we've wiped out their main competitor. too slow, and the enemy will eventually get too strong to fight" growled Vitae. sighing, Inferno growled "Well, although going slow may lead to increased casualties, it'll also strengthen our forces and make them more capable of taking on the greater threat; the Demons, after we finally do defeat the Industrialists. I say we go slow. not too slow, but slow enough so that we can use the improvements the enemy uses to our advantage"...
