Deathfist's eyes scanned the forest road carefully. He squinted in the darkness, surrounded by trees. He tapped his sword impaitently off his leg. He peeked out from behind the tree, spying two elven guards outside a stone wall. Slowly he looked away and glanced at the other trees, which he knew his forces were hideing behind. After that he looked towards the west were a force of larger demons were hiden. After what seemed like hours of standing perfectly still, he heard the trundleing wheels of a cart. His exhasution disappeared, replaced by a lust for victory. He griped his sword tightly and peeked out at the horse drawn cart rolling towards the gate which the two guards were opening. They were half asleep after the night watch. When the cart was half way through and the guards were about to start closeing the gate, Death fist stepped out, obsidion knife in hand. The guards froze, innocent faces of the refugges inside the cart were blank with shock. Before anyone could even speak, he flung the knife right into one of the guards necks, killing him instantly. Straight away the forest was lit up in a firey glow as each demon ignighted, flames engulfing their armour. 8 fast and small demon warriors sped out of their hideing places towards the cart. The second guard tried to run into the town and raise the alarm, but a black arrow slamed into his back and he fell to the ground, dead. Everyone inside the cart was dead, the demons having killed them with magic. They would've perferred to hack the elves to peices, but it was on Deathfists orders that they do it quietly. Deathfist smiled and spun his hand around in a circle muttering "Pyro Flareius" He jabbed a claw into the air and a single bright fireball launched into the sky. It exploded silently and the fire hung in the sky for almost 30 seconds. Then the proper force arived, 16 of the best demon warriors. Each one only slightly smaller than a troll. They looked almost meachanical with their pitch black armour and yellow slit eyes. The demons started marching right into the sleepy elven village, their enchanted walls bypassed. Inside, the rest of the guards were just waking up, A few of them were hastily trying to put up a barricade and other elves were running from their homes towards the rear exit. Deathfist smiled and raised his arm. The elves all started screaming in unison knowing what was to happen next. he shouted into the night sky "Inferious Explosio!" The incantation had barely left his lips when the barricade exploded into flames. Bits of flameing timber was thrown into the sky and around the village. The demons roared their battle cry and charged foreward, massacreing the poorly orgainised guards and torching the entire town. Within seconds, it was clear there was no hope for anyone. Barely 10 elves escaped the attack.

Inferno turned his back to the Demonic encampment that now lay in in a pile of smoldering, ash covered ruins, and headed back towards home. "Your majesty. i have just been informed by Empress Morian that the Industrialists have a black and red Unicorn Stallion in their possession that you may know". Inferno froze. what Unicorn did he know that had that description. only two. one of them had died long ago, and the other had disappeared. "Orion..." growled Inferno. "According to the Empress' spy, that's what a quick mental scan determined his name was". Inferno growled "Where is he?". "He was found in the Fort stables at the Seaside city of Dranarok, Your Majesty" hissed the serpent. "Inform Furionus. i want him and the Imperial Guard to meet me south of the lighthouse there". the flaming Serpent bent it's hooded head in a deep bow, before disappearing. Inferno lept off the ground, sending charred Demons' bodies and equipment flying in all directions, and flew off towards the Dranarok Cliffs. it was so far south of the city itself that he'd be almost completely safe from detection...

Orion sighed in relief when the groom was finally done with him, but snorted and shied when he tried to tack him up with the lavish looking saddle and bridle. The groom sneered and whipped him on the hindquarters with the whip, to which Orion stopped, for fear of being whipped again. He loathed that vile thing so much, and yet feared it at the same time. The man first started with the pad, and adjusted it on his back. Orion hated this process also, but he had to stand still for it. After that was done, the saddle went on next. It was black and had elaborate silver designs on the front, back, and sides of it. He strapped the girth on tight and finally went for the bridle, which was also black and had silver designing around the headband. The bit was harsh, and was a struggle to put in his mouth, but one more whippings were given and Orion was silent. When he was all tacked up and ready to go, the groom led the black unicorn out to the courtyard and waited for the master to come.

Inferno glided down towards the cove at the bottom of the Dranarok Cliffs, hovering to a gentle landing inside the cove, which was easily big enough to accomidate the Emperor. He looked out at the rich blue water in awe. such a beautiful sight it was to see the endless ocean before him. an endless expanse of water, a whole world under water stretching out before him. how he wished his home was by the sea...

The multi headed beast walked out into a clearing in which noting but grass and the isolated fog that covered some mountains in the distance. The phenomena was strange, how can fog exist in sunny weather, hardly a cool beeze hinted the comming of rain, and fog shouldn't happen unless clouds accumulated in one spot, but there was nothing but blue skys. Hydras moved down the small hill he was, heads perched over his body to prevent toppiling over. When he got to the base, he could see the occasional dragon fly by, some fauns running in the distance and the winged horses, pegasus fly low to the ground. Hydras ran after a pure white pegasus on all 4's, the ground almost shook each time his legs landed. His tail waved wildly into the air as Hydras caught up to the pegasus. In an attempt to get away, the horse flapped harder and harder, trying to geain altitude, but the necks of the creature out stretched out matched it's current height and 2 of the heads slammed onto its legs, 2 legs in each mouth, 2 more grabbed the wings, the horse neighed in pain, but unable to fight back. The middle main head curved through the tangle and rose up abve the morsel. He made a growl and slammed his head down, jaws wrapped around the Pegasus. With a skilled tug, the heads ripped apart the victim, blood flying out into all directions. The dismembered parts were ravenously swallowed by the heads.

The master was walking slowly toward the beast, his face stern and his eyes cold. Orion stared back at his master with the same glaring look, but didn't say anything to him. He only stood like an obediant equine and waited for the master to take the reins out of the groom's hand. "You did a fine job with him, Skinner," said the man without casting a glance at the groom.

The groom, called Skinner only nodded and smirked. "The beast was a little wild, but I showed him." He said this proudly and Orion was disgusted with it.

The master smirked but said nothing. He only started at his black beast. "Ah yes, a fine beast...maybe we should breed him," he said thoughtfully as he led Orion away from the courtyard and out to meet his small company of men, who were readily mounted and waiting impatiently at the enterance of the gates. When he came, they said nothing, but bowed their heads respectfully. He mounted Orion and held the reins tight in his gloved hands. "Let's make our way out of here," he ordered and kicked Orion on the sides to get him going at a trot out of the city with the company following on their lesser steeds.

the Sillhuettes of several Dragons flying low in the sky marked the arrival of half the Imperial Guard along with Furionus, Inferno's best friend. as they landed in the cove, each of them gave a bow of respect to Inferno, including Furionus, all of them getting return bows from the Red Emperor. he growled "Dragons...I will tell you what i want done. follow these guidelines as closely as possible. Attack the military buildings. attack their weapons. do not attack anyone who does not attack you. women...children...the elderly. all non combatants are to be left alive...and their civilian buildings are to be left intact. one of their Commanders rides a Black Unicorn. that Unicorn is to be kept alive and safe at all costs. Understood?". the Dragons nodded, and Inferno growled "You attack from the air. i'll move in from the sea, while you attack from the land". the Dragons nodded, and left one by one, walking past Inferno and taking off, taking long routes around the area until they were directly facing the city with the sea behind it...

Orion was quiet as he was trotting along with the horses following behind him. He snorted and laid his ears back slightly, showing his distaste for all that was going on. His master, on the other hand wanted to go faster, and so kicked him into a gallop to which Orion had to obey. He did it without a word and the other men did the same to their own horses. Suddenly, his master yanked the reins hard, which made Orion startle and rear, then turned him around sharply. He looked as his company of men with critical eyes, making sure each one was fit enough. Orion was thankful that he didn't have to go faster than a walk, for he was tired and his mouth was aching.

A booming roar tore through the air as Inferno dove towards the platoon of riders, his eyes locking on his target; a Black Unicorn with what looked like the Commander of the riders on his back. he fired a thin jet of flames at one of the riders as he shot past, the flame having completely burnt the rider's head to dust, the body slumping on the back of the horse on which he rode, before dropping to the ground as a hurricane of wind blew over the riders as Inferno flew past, doing a loop and hovering in the air, his eyes locked on Orion's rider, an angry glare that could burn through souls, locking with the human's...

the Guardians and their new Apprentice, Furionus, flew over the city, attacking numerous defensive positions and blowing off the roof of the military shipyard...

The training grounds were quite for only a moment until loud roaring began to go across the area. The sound of wings beating hard caught in the air and made large updrafts on the ground below as Garroth and Tranquillus were practicing their training on each other. Garroth flew up at a fast pace as Tranquillus followed snapping her fangs at him. Though this was all part of training, air combat was an important part of fighting. Especially if they were facing another dragon or some other adversary in the air. They could then learn different stunts and tricks that could be used to give them the head-on advantage against their opponent, increasing chances of survival. Garroth whipped his tail out at Tranquillus and smacked her across the face. She was fine and she continued to snap but probably felt the pain. Garroth remembered when he was in training when he had to learn how to stop an enemy dragon from chasing him. Quickly Garroth then moved his left wing around his back and his right wing along his front and spun in the air into a barrel roll and dived downward whilst spinning. He then opened his wings out again and looped over the gold dragon. However she saw this coming and spun around to face Garroth as he came down before slashing him across the face. Garroth shook it off but then Tranquillus came down on him and began biting his neck and grappling onto it. Garroth kicked her off quickly then unleashed a powerful acid fireball from his fiery maw. Tranquillus did the same with a gold flame and both attacks collided together creating a massive explosion. The attacks subsided quickly with neither side harmed in the blast and the battle continued...

Neltharion's jaws split in a wide yawn, continueing to watch the mountains, bored with the frozen spire, Stimeak offering him little else to learn. The thought of leaving and persueing a personal goal came to mind once more, but Neltharion wasn't sure; he needed all of Stimeak's knowledge in magic. He snarled deeply under his breath, turning, trotting off back toward the cave.

The riders were in a panic as a great red dragon came and swooped down, burning one of the riders. They scattered, but Orion's master yelled as loud as possible and forced Orion into a gallop. "Assemble back together, it is only one man!" He yelled as he took out his sword and glared at the red creature in the air. Orion, meanwhile did nothing but obey his master, his ears still pinned back to his head disliking every bit of it. He was secretly glad that Inferno was here, but wondered what he could do. His master wouldn't give him up so easily. "Take out your weapons and aim at the beast," he commanded to his men, who just now reassembled. They took out their bows and aimed carefully at Inferno. "FIRE NOW!"

Inferno roared as he waved his hand to the side as the men fired their bows, forming a fire shield in front of him, the arrows burning to ashes within the wall of flames. "You FOOLS! you HONESTLY think you can take on the Red Emperor ALONE?! well...no matter...you'll soon learn....though i doubt you'll live long enough to use that knowledge" snarled Inferno, his blue and orange eyes locked on the leader. he waved his clawed hand again, sending a spray of cinders onto one of the riders. with a clap of his clawed hands, a thin stream of yellow energy hit the man, and instantly the cinders blew into a full slcae explosion, blowing the human to pieces, the horse he was riding surprisingly safe, Inferno having drained the heat from the area touching it, keeping it from being burned. he shot a stream of flames at another two riders, and beat his wings hard, ascending into the skies as he prepared to dive...

Again the men scattered in fright of the dragon. They were not sure they could take it on, no they knew they couldn't take it. Their commander, however only grew mad and let out what sounded like a battle cry. "DRAGON, YOU WILL BE DONE!" he shouted with rage apparent in his voice. He made Orion rear, to which Orion snorted and whinnied when the reins were yanked back.

Inferno chuckled in amusement at this foolish Commander's actions. "Oh, i somehow doubt that. You see, your men are about to abandon you, and if they stay, they'll be reduced to piles of ash....or perhaps meals. as for you...". Inferno roared as he dove at the Commander, grabbing Orion and his rider in his hands and lifting them up hundreds of feet in the air. "Goodbye Commander....may your kind rot in the pits of the hellish wastelands of the demons...FOREVER!". with that, Inferno pulled the human off of Orion, and held him in front of him for a few moments, his cold glare sending a chill of fear into the human, before his hand began to glow with blue energy, finally disappearing as it moved within the human. Inferno grinned as the human began to buldge, his blood boiling and expanding. he began to turn red and expanded, before bursting like a bubble, the blood burning and evaporating in mere miliseconds after it broke free of the now non-existant body, not a drop touching Inferno or Orion. Inferno then dove down at the riders and fired a huge fireball at them, engulfing them and everything for about 30 feet around in a smoldering pile of ashes, before draining the heat right out of it immediately after. he flew away from the town while Furionus and the Guardians finished off the military resistance. "I wondered where you had gone, Orion. How are you feeling?" growled the Emperor with a grin...

Orion was greatful that his master was finally gone, but he still didn't feel like whinnying for joy or celebrating in any way. That wild spirit was gone from him ever since they broken him in. What was he suppose to do now? He turned his head slowly to Inferno and sighed deeply. "I don't know..." His voice held little emotion in it as he said it.

Inferno made a booming roar, summoning the guardians. soon, the group was flying towards him. "You called, Your Majesty?" growled the leader, an elderly looking Imperial with a battered set of scales covering his body, his fin and wings heavily torn. "Has the raid been successful?" growled Inferno. the Imperial nodded to the Emperor and growled "They'll be completely open to attack. a bunch of Orcs could take it over alone in this state!". Inferno nodded. "Good. Our mission has been successful. It's time to return home" growled Inferno, as he turned, and flew towards his home. "You've been gone a long time, Orion...the world's changed since we last met" he growled, as they continued towards his home...

"Really," inquired the unicorn slightly interested in what the red dragon had to say. "What has changed?" He wondered about the population of unicorns and about his friend, Damarian. Were they all ok? This world changing didn't sound good.

Neltharion continued on toward the cave, glancing over at the forest below, seeing a hawk fly up toward the Frozen Spire. Raising his clawed hand, Neltharion watched the creature for a few moments, the hawk itself immediatly starting to fall toward the ground, all of the nerves in its body were destroyed. As the creature hit the ground, Neltharion smirked, continueing on toward the cave.

"the Unicorns have been led into numerous Dragon Realms, so as to keep them safe from those irritating Industrialists. they're a rare breed now. perhaps 20 individuals in each Realm. as a way to keep the rest alive, I have personally marked an attack on Unicorns within my realm an attack on the Realm and Dragonflight itself, meaning that any attacker on the Unicorns is an enemy of mine. the other Emperors however, have only marked it as a crime to be punished as they saw fit. in most cases it's elemental torture, but for the money, some are willing to risk it. the Dwarves have been forced into the mountains behind the Dragon Realms, seperated from the Demons by the Dragons. The Elves are having difficulty fighting off attackers, but we are making sure they are fully protected from attack. the amount of things that have happened in the past century are too numerous to count. for now, let us return home. when we arrive, i'll tell you the rest" growled the Emperor as he beat his massive wings majestically, soaring through the air at surprisingly high speed, even for a Dragon...
