"And what, dare i ask, are your names?" snarled the Red Guardian, not completely convinced. too many times in the past other creatures had tricked him. Shape shifters were common, but not alone. he didn't want to take chances. disturbing the Emperor at a time like this would be a very risky mistake...

The larger blue dragon raised his head and stammered "Didn't you hear what I said!?!?! Demons are following us! we had three other dragons with us, imperials and Royals, they are all dead!" Panic was clear in both of the dragons features as they glanced at each other.

"Let them come. they'd be insane to near the heart of the Red Dragon Realm. Now, respond to the question" snarled the Guardian, now almost sure he had caught another pair of potential threats...

The larger dragon stammered, his voice abnormally loud due to his panic. "I am Drakhiel and this is Cyclone! Now we need to speak to the emperor immeidiately- oh no....." His face filled with pure terror as he gazed up into the sky. 15 human sized glowing shapes had just coasted the mountain side and raised up into veiw. Otherwise known as the Princes of Darkness...
One of the shapes was suddenly engulfed in black mist like smoke and a second later, the mist rocketed foreward like a ghost. It slamed right into the chest of the larger blue dragon and he was thrown backwards, his eyes glazing over. His lifeless corpse landed with thud, rolling a few times before coming to halt. The smaller dragon spoke for the first time, leaping to his feet and roaring "No! Brother!" He whipped around, fear and sadness overcoming him. He stuttered to the red imperial "I have to speak to the emperor!"

The 15 shapes spread out in a flying V, some remaining in the sky while others sped towards the gaurds bearing flameing spears and swords.

a booming roar was heard not far away, and in seconds, all the Red Guardians, with Emperor Inferno at the head of them, were flying towards the source of the event, Inferno's fin having grown so tall his body looked like a massive ball of flames, the other 8 guardians at his sides in an arrow like formation, a massive V being shaped from it, all 8 of the guardians unleashing various fire draining spells at the demons that were diving at the blue dragons. the Guardians beside the blue Dragon growled "Move! NOW!". without even waiting, the larger of the two Guardians grabbed the dragon in his claws, and leapt into the air, in seconds reaching the entrance to Inferno's lair, rushing the Dragon inside, into the main chamber. "What's going on?" growled Fieras. "Demon raid. it looks like this group is specialised. they wouldn't have made it this far otherwise" responded the Guardian, the second in command of the Imperial Guards. "Move" growled Fieras as she walked towards the entrance. "Your majesty, i can't. i was commanded to guard the lair and to ensure your safety in the event of an attack like this. if i let you go out there the Emperor would kill me" growled the Guardian worriedly. "No he won't. and besides, i need only to see what's going on. then, everything i want to do can be done from where i am". the Dragon bowed slightly, but dared not move. Fieras sighed and used a blood boiler spell on him, only giving him a reminder of what she could do if he didn't follow her command. with a cringe of pain the Dragon stepped aside, but as soon as Fieras had passed, he charged after her, using a restriction spell on her to temporarily bind her while he moved her back into the cave. she broke the spell, but as she was making her way towards the entrance, Slytherius appeared. "Your Majesty" he hissed, bowing his hooded head low. "His Majesty Inferno requests that you don't leave the lair. he expects there demons may have a bit more power behind them than the usual. they're elites". Fieras thought for a moment, finally sighing and agreeing to return. "Your majesty, if i may speak..." growled the Red Guardian to Fieras. "What is it?" growled the Empress. "This Blue Dragon wished to speak to the Emperor. seeing as he's occupied, perhaps it would help if you could speak to him?". Fieras nodded, and walked over to the Blue Dragon, growling "What is it you wished to say, Dragon?"...

The Blue dragon screeched and tried to pull away from the dragons, clawing at mid air. He looking at the ceiling with terror. He opened his wings, desperately trying to escape, a weak water sheild forming infront of him. With a loud crack, a flameing spear penetrated the sheild and impaled the dragon through the throat, pinning him to the wall.
He screamed in agony, still alive when black blood slowly poured out of the wound, the flesh around it rotting rapidly. The demon that threw the spear leapt down from the ledge, thudding to the ground. He stood upright, drawing his sword. Wings unfurled and tail lashing the air.
Outside the cave, all hell was breaking loose. One of the demons in the air, drew his hands together and rasped "Metroca!" He drew his hands apart and the clouds behind him suddenly opened up. A single meteorite barreled through, slaming into one of the red dragons and englufing half of the entire formation in a huge explosion.

a booming roar was heard as Inferno tore through the air, coming out of the explosion unscathed. he swung a clawed hand forward, a massive white beam exploding from his clawed hand and knocking the Demon that had launched the meteorite out of the sky, potentially killing it with the amount of fire energy drained in that single hit. the other Guardians flew around him, forming a living shield before their Emperor, casting barrier spells before them, forming a massive flaming shield right in front of them. it not only had the solidity of a steel wall, but it also had the ability to incinerate anything that came in it's way...

a bone rattling snarl sounded in the cave as Fieras unleashed a Fire spear on the demon, knocking it back against the wall. Slytherius shot right at the Demon, entering it's chest. the Demon's glow quickly faded, as Slytherius drained the life force out of him, before letting it out in a shockwave that blew the demon apart. as the others recovered from the flash, they saw Slytherius was no longer a tiny flying cobra. now, he was a massive fire dragon, made entirely of flame, his eyes glowing white and a massive hood, covered in impressive looking tribal patterns made of different coloured flames, framing his thick, muscular neck. his tail looked like it was made of dozens of jets of flames, in the shape of a 5 spike fan, very similar to Inferno's. his wings were massive, and with each breath, a jet of blue fire erupted from his jaws. with a swing of his clawed hand, he formed a heat barrier at the entrance, to make sure nothing could get in. it was hot enough to make steel evaporate, and was almost inpenetrable, having the consistency of a wall. "Your majesty, i would suggest we step back from the entrance. i some how doubt that was the last attacker"...

The demons formed up outside the sheild, regrouping. They all readied their weapons and flew straight at the sheild in formation. Deathfist shouting orders to the others as they neared the flameing wall. The demon at the right of the formation beat his wings propelling himself right into the sheild, sword readied. The flames lost intenseity as the combined effort of the demons drained it. Then the demon that had flown foreward slashed right into the sheild, his sword smashing right through the invisible barrier, shattering a small section of it. He blasted through, spear held tightly. As he passed the dragon closest to him, he lunged foreward, stabbing right into the beasts eye. Instantly he spiraled away, the spear remaining lodged in the dragons eye, black blood seeping out of the wound. Another demon smashed through the sheild blasting past the dragons, his sword leaving a long gash in ones side. More demons broke through, attacking the dragons. Right behind them, the rest of teh sheild exploded as another meteor smashed through, The ball of flameing rock slamed into one of the dragons chests blowing up and sending shrapnel flying. As Deathfist flew through the storm of fire and ash, he reached out and grabed onto one of the guardians scales. He raised his sword and stabbed it into the dragons flesh, he quickly took it out, revealing a wound, bubbleing with magma like blood. He raised a glowing hand and punched it into the wound rasping "MorTada!" Instantly the blood stream turned black as the curse took effect. His work done, he leapt off joining the rest of the demons that had made it out.

Flamanus, the smallest among the Guardians, fell out of the sky, the spear in it's eye having infected the flesh with death magic which quickly spread to the brain, not giving it time to react. "Flamanus!" roared one of the Dragons as he saw his brother drop. soon, he had a similar wound. without even thinking, he swung his clawed hands to the side, the talon armed hands glowing white as they clapped together, engulfing the Dragon in white energy for a split second, healing the wound and reversing the curse, just in the nick of time. Inferno roared as he swung his tial into 5 of the Demons, sending them hurtling away, before casting a Hell's Death spell on them, a massive tornado of what looked like fire surrounding the Demon formation, sending some hurtling away while keeping the majority there, as massive black rocks that seemed to pulse with a strange, draining energy. With a roar the massive 50 foot wide boulders flew inwards, crushing the Demons within them, and locking together, forming a massive black rock in the middle of what looked like a Fiery tornado. icicles started to form in the air around the rock, and, as Inferno swung both hands down together, the rock hurtled towards the earth, slamming into the hillside with devastating force, exploding, bits of Demons flying in every direction, their bodies having been drained of all heat, and frozen as well. Inferno roared. "GUARDIANS! REGROUP!" boomed the Emperor, as the Dragons regrouped, all of them having healed themselves from the wounds, though the ones with the more serious wounds were left with scars and had some trouble using the wounded parts of their bodies. they turned to face the remaining Demons, still large in number, but with many of their number lost none the less. "FIERVISE FORMATION!" boomed Inferno. within seconds, the Dragons were changing formation, the sound of droning chants coming from each of the massive Dragons...

Kushala watched the battle from a short distance away, hidden from view by the various mountain ranges, watching in total silence. The demons were a great threat to the world, every creature knew that, hoping the red emperor would be able to defeat this group of the beasts, unable to interfear himself. It wasn't his fight. Turning, Kushala seemed to glide off toward the raging battle to get a better view.

The demons regrouped, glanceing around fearfully. Deathfist nodded and rasped "Retreat, scatter and fire form..." They nodded, waiting for the sign. Deathfist took his bow from his back and knocked an arrow. Then he took a vial of black liquid from around his neck, pouring it into the flameing arrow head. The liquid soaked into the arrow seemlessly. He aimed shot the arrow down towards the dead imperials corpse. It zipped through the air, hitting its mark. At that moment, all the demons split up and flew in diffferent directions. At once, they all hissed a spell and blasted off into the distance, only visible as flameing bolts...

"Flamma Mortus!" growled Inferno with such a deep voice it rivalled that of even the most ancient and hellish of Demons, pointing a clawed finger at the dead Guardian, engulfing it in flame, reducing it to ash in moments. then, with a powerful beat of his wings, the dust was sent drifting, disappearing into the wind. Inferno lowered his head, mourning the death of the Dragon, the others repeating the movement. without another word, Inferno closed one wing and used the other to turn him around 180 degrees. he then flew towards the Cavern, the others going on intensified scout patrols around the mountain while waiting for the reinforcements Inferno had mentally summoned...

Kushala was now heading back toward the Red Emperor's home, intending to have another meeting with the mighty dragon. As he moved along gracefully, he ignoring the patrols that were searching the moutains, knowing they wouldn't see him as a threat, and if they did, he could defend himself, even from the creatures many times his size. Kushala was now a short distance from the cave, continueing on silently, the faint blue glow radiating from the Kirin as he moved...

a series of roars echoed through the skies as the Guardians saw the Kirin wakling towards the Emperor's lair. before they could attack, another, more authoritive bone rattling, ear splitting roar boomed as Inferno walked out of his lair, spotting the Kirin. "Stand your ground! he's not a threat" boomed the Emperor to the guardians as he walked down the numerous rocks to the foot of his mountain. the Guardians stopped moving in, and watched the Unicorn-like creature from a distance, waiting to see what would happen...

Garroth smashed his opponent into the ground with his tail at terrifying speed. Memories of the events that occured 100 years ago were still fresh in his mind, when Nozdormu had tricked him and nearly got him killed by Emperor Rutus. Garroth didn't know how powerful Rutus was but he knew that the emperor was a force to be reckoned with and never to be underestimated, especially when one had an Alerial Gem at their disposal, the user could wield powerful and terrifying abilities. Still, Garroth respected and downright feared the emperor and his wrath which had been brought down on Acacius that day. Acacius was probably dead by now he thought, considering that Rutus wouldn't have given a second thought about it. But also considering the fact that Acacius stole the gem in the first meant Rutus had every right to deal out Acacius's fate. Garroth focused back onto his battle as he was against another Green Dragon in training. Garroth had been training hard over the long term and had managed to master a number of his abilities. He also learned the ability "Poison Barb" which Garroth used quite frequently. The attack itself came from the end of his tail. When using it, the magic would channel down to the end of the tail. Garroth's tail would glow a bright green and the end of it would begin to change. The tail would become more pointed with two large spikes that spread out from the point and came back like an arch. When the spell was complete the tail would look similiar to that of a spearhead on a lance and glow a bright green. The tail could be used for stabbing an enemy. When it came into contact with flesh, the barb would immediately inject a deadly poison into the foe. The poison would then start to make it's way to the heart of the foe and the eat the heart away quickly. The enemy would die within a few minutes if not instantly. But it had no effect on green dragons considering they were resistant to poison but Garroth didn't know how effective it would be on other foes...

"Seems you have quite the demon problem on your claws...." Kushala's voice sounded as he neared the massive dragon. "It seems you aren't the only one..." the Kirin said simply, reffering to the other, largely increasing demon attacks. "Don't worry, Emperor...I am not here to bring impending doom..." Kushala's voice echoed, his mouth unmoving. "I think we are all well aware of it..." he said, the demon lord himself coming to mind as he spoke, every creature at risk from Beliar and his minions...

The opponent leapt at Garroth. Garroth however was the wiser and this was a younger dragon compared to him and not so wise. What the younger dragon should've done was brought his tail out and then leapt so it could defend himself against Garroth's tail which swept forward and knocked the other dragon in the stomach in midair. Another young Green Dragon then came from behind Garroth who swerved around and smashed him in the head with his left foot as it came into contact with the younger Dragon. They were young but only by 2 years and quite good fighters, only Garroth was the wiser. Garroth was now a young adult. Indeed his age showed how much he had matured. Though it wasn't a huge significant difference, his scales were larger, and sharper. More smoothed out and curved as well as his claws and feet. His fangs were stronger too, delivering powerful and deadly bites into a foe. Once old enough, he could develop venom in his fangs. His acid breath was stronger and burned through almost any surface that was known to Garroth in his habitat.

Garroth's two foes got back up. They then bowed to Garroth before departing. The main idea during training between Green Dragons was to hit their opponent down onto the ground until they had given up. The 3 dragons had been going on all day and now it was time to return home. The two younger dragons left without a word. Garroth then nodded back before turning around. 100 years ago, Garroth was only needed by Rutus if Rutus summoned him. But suprisingly in those 100 years, Rutus had not needed to seek out Garroth much, usually only because he needed to ask Garroth if he had seen anything suspicious, or that there was no one causing any trouble that might cause Rutus misfortune. Garroth pondered over this matter through his mind. Garroth's mind was always filled with questions and sometimes he concluded those with answers that seemed suitable and relevant enough. But there was still one major thing that bothered his mind: Who was it that had betrayed him, who had been the imposture disguised as Chronos? Because everyone knew Chronos was innocent. Garroth was convinced enough to believe that. Otherwise he would continually ponder over the matter until it was settled. He decided then to perhaps visit his father sometime, maybe he would find answers to what he seeked.

As he walked over and out of the sandy area that made up the training grounds, he heard a loud roar over in the distance. Something unlike any other. As he looked he noticed something in the sky far away that looked like a Dragon. This one was huge but unlike most dragons, it had not back legs and instead a long tail and waved up and down along the sky with two claws tucked beneath it's chest. It's wings were large and were a Crimson and dark red colour. The tail was blue like deep sapphire and the rest of it's chest was bronze and tan running all the way along the head with a hint of orange. Multiple horns rose on it's head with two long horns that stood out further than the others. Also it's eyes were dark green. Garroth could just make out from the distance the small curved scales running along the dragon's back as it flew with its tail moving behind it in a wavy fashion. The dragon also seemed to move with ease across the air as it only need to flap it's wings once before gliding gently. Garroth wondered at such an odd Dragon as it flew onward as if it was in a hurry. Who was this? And was it friendly? More questions filled his mind as this interesting dragon flew on and past a set of large hills before flying up and disappearing into an opening in the clouds. Garroth judged that it was almost as large as Chronos, considering Chronos was the largest dragon he knew was alive. This thing almost matched the Gold Dragon Emperor's size.
"Garroth, what are you looking at?" said a familiar voice through his mind.
Garroth turned around. Standing behind him was Tranquillus, the gold dragon. She was a bit younger than Garroth but was very beautiful. Garroth had fallen for her since he first met her. However he had not told her this yet but knew it wasn't the time yet. In the past 100 years however, they had been very good friends ever since. They along with the rest of Garroth's team. Garroth smiled at her.
"I saw a huge dragon Tranquillus, but this was not like any normal dragon I had seen. This was different. I don't know what it was but I reckon if I see it again I will try to meet it." He replied.
Tranquillus smiled at the thought.
"Let us go home Garroth. It's been a long day."
"Indeed it has."
Tranquillus nodded before the two walked off. As they walked side by side, like two companions on a journey, Garroth spoke again.
"Tranquillus?"
"Yes?"
"I'm planning on leaving the Green Dragon territory."
Tranquillus stopped at once. She stared at him as if she had been stung by a massive hornet.
"What? Why?" She said abruptly.
Garroth stopped and began in a serious tone.
"It's time I got away from here. Just for a little while. In these past 100 years Rutus has rarely contacted me. I think it's enough proof that he finally trusts me. I know this is risky but I need to be away from my own kind for a while."
"But...But you know what happened last time remember?"
"No don't worry, I don't plan on visiting the other dragon territories, just going somewhere within this territory or somewhere that belongs to nobody, no demons, no dragons, no one. I know a few areas that are to my knowledge are just abandoned. Places that I've been to."
"I would tread lightly."
"I just need to be away from here. I'm just afraid and that's what's torturing me"
"Are you sure you want to do this?"
"Yes, I leave tomorrow, at dawn, first light."
As Garroth walked on, Tranquillus quickly caught up.
"Garroth!"
He stopped.
"Yes?"
"I'm coming with you."
Garroth smiled.
"That was the other thing I was about to ask."
Tranquillus smiled.
"Let me find you tomorrow Tranquillus. In fact, meet me here at the training grounds. Otherwise I'll wait for you. Whoever gets here first must wait for the other to get here." He said.
Tranquillus nodded.
"See you tomorrow then Garroth, at Dawn."
"Yes, at Dawn, no later."
She nodded and then left. Garroth then departed for his home in the opposite direction, where his roost was...

"Indeed" boomed Inferno. "So what brings you here, Kirin? besides your usual friendly chatter?". the Guardians circled above, eying the Kirin carefully but still focusing mainly on the area around them...

"No particular reason..." Kushala's voice sounded. "Events such as this are not to be missed...I try to view these battles for myself...though I don't take part in them." he glanced over at the battle scarred land. "But I think my time here has come to an end." Kushala's voice echoed, the Kirin turning away from the Red Emperor without another word, the creature seemingly gliding away, the blue glow slowing fading away...

I few small cloaked figures trudged through the snow, keeping their old eyes on the black figure soaring through the sky. The two men glanced at each other and moved onwards.
Stimeak was feeling uneasy. He was resting at the top of the Frozen Spire but couldn't shake the feeling that something was seriously wrong...
