Anyway, this is my first post here, figure I'll make it good. Now, I doubt this RPG will really fit into any of the others seeing as it's my original idea, but here goes nothing:
Legend has it, that millions of years ago, when the planet was still young, that the universe was governed by four spirits. Dalyss, the Pure, Kiren, the Warrior, Shasa, the Gifted, and Ori, the Night. Each one was equal, none with more power then the other. They wrote balance into the universe, ensuring that niether Good nor Evil overpowered the other. However, Ori, believing he deserved more power then the others, rose up and attacked them. He waged war with the three Spirits for thousands of years. Ori even took a new name, the Lord of Sin. He overpowered and killed Shasa, and absorbed her soul, giving him more might. He eventually killed Kiren, and grew in power even further. Finally, the Lord of Sin dueled and killed Dalyss. But he did not die in vain. With the last of his strength, Dalyss cast a spell which destroyed Ori's coporeal form and sealed his black soul away forever. Then, Dalyss weaved his own soul into the fabric of reality, in a desprate bid to mantain whatever balance was left. Thousands more years passed, and the first humans appeared. As did the first Dragons, and the first of the Grey Men. They found a place that they could coexsist peacfully in, a place known as the Valley. The Valley was where the humans built the city of Kiria. The Dragons chose the caves of Karan Ard, and the Grey Men chose the mountains. For years, all was at peace. But then, for reasons unknown, the Grey Men grew violent, and their Chieften, Kyrden, led them in an attack aganst Kiria. Years passed, and it seemed as if the Grey Men would triumph. That was until the Dragons intervined, driving the Grey Men back to the mountains. The Dragons returned to Karan Ard, and the Grey Men stayed in the Mountains. However, rumors have begun that the Grey Men are planning something. There have been sightings of a strange, cloaked figure in the Mountains, escorted by Grey Men. And in the night, the buzzing of locusts signals a dark omen. Balance is slowly starting to fall apart...
Yes, it is heavily influenced by the graphic novel Bone, and if you haven't read that, then you don't like graphic novels.
