hmm, I'd certainly like to see how this turns out. And we do not a set of fresh ideas. So I vote yes on this. Even though I'm not admin and all.

Any of the races mentioned are playable. But I'll limit the Dragons, they're really powerful and I don't want everyone to be a Dragon. At first, characters will basicly live their lives, maybe for the first few posts, and then odd things start happening. For example, Grey Men starting to show up in the forest despite the treaty keeping them out. Dragons starting to appear to humans, and even sightings of a strange, Hooded figure bearing a scythe(this is, again, heavily influenced by the graphic novel Bone). Then, maybe on page twenty, all Hell will break loose.

I was thinking of a Skull Island RPG, were you could be a skull islander, a creature (including Kong's species), and any natives of Skull Island that I missed. That would be interesting.

RL: Already was one. It was deleted for a few reasons...One being that it was basically ISS with fake creatures. Also, the quality of the posts were...bad, to say the least.

oh ok, o well.

Has anyone done Dinotopia yet? That is one interesting thing to do an RPG on...

And where's the Star Wars RPG?

if you check back a page or two, you'll see the Star Wars RPG was suggested. it's owner seemed to stop talking about it after a while, so it's screeched to a hault. you're free to make it yourself. just make sure it doesn't draw the activity from the other RPGs...thst has some painful consequences...

until we see another vote for it, you'll have to wait. if another person votes, i'll go over the idea again, see if there's anything that may not work out [just a quick check] and then let you know. me and the staff will see what we think, and after we've made a decision [usually immediate] we'll give the ok...just remember....if it starts drawing life out of other RPGs....steps will be taken to reverse that...

Sorry I was away. I've been in Mandurah the whole week to celebrate New Years (Happy New Years everyone!). Anyway, whilst I was away, I was playing my Xbox 360 from time to time down there, just on a few occasions seeing as I was doing other things than constantly on it 24/7 anyway the point I'm getting two here is that I recently rented a game out there which I know many of you have heard of called "Mass Effect". For an RPG it is definately one of the best of it's genre (considering also it was made by Bioware, creators of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic), now I won't go into too many details but it was indeed a game that would work great as an RPG for this forum. I know that we have a Star Wars RPG that is coming to this forum when there have been enough votes (which of course it has my vote) but though this game was quite similiar (minus the lightsaber and droid battles) it is greatly expanded across planets in the galaxy. Many of which are colonized by humans and different alien species (though much similiar to ones from the Halo and Star Wars franchises) and though a lot of them are allianced, some are Rogues and some Aliens are actually hostile altogether. Invading other planets that are colonized. Other than that it's an excellant game and I think if something quite like it was introduced to RPGtopia it might become popular quite quickly.

I can also highlight a number of problems it may or may not cause:

-Powerplaying

-Flaming (though I doubt is really a huge problem here it is still an issue nonetheless to be taken into consideration)

-Controlling other characters.

Really not too many problems but mainly the usual that don't abide by the Code of Conduct and I could be more than happy to list the different species of Aliens and planets that I have seen or heard of in the game (considering I didn't get far at all in Mass Effect seeing as there's well over hundreds of planets to explore in it, the possibilities are endless). I know it's hard in trying to find anything that is worth of "RPG Material" but I think this is worth a shot. I'll even invent the plot if you wish. Just give me some time. But if you admins don't like it then that's fine. And I won't blame them if they choose to disband this idea altogether.

A Mass Effect RPG sounds interesting, though I'd think that we'd need more information about the universe-not only about planets and races, but about mass relays, biotics, Citidel Station, etc.

If you can get that information, you've got my vote.

Maybe you could combine more than one RPG universe. Mass Effect, Halo, Star Wars, even Aliens vs. Predator even, could be combined into something really huge and long-lasting.
