Well, powerplaying is gonna be a problem if we use the new republic (cause of those overpowered jedis) or the inbetween a new hope and revenge of the sith (cause Vader's Apprentice is overpowered completely.) Extra old republic is overpowered too, so I'm looking for in between The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones. It's supposed to be sorta peaceful, but that can change . I suggest making you're own characters other than already existing characters, that's the way to run. For info on species playable, go to:

Since KP already gave it the thumbs up, I just wanna discuss it a bit first, just so everyone's got the idea. A whole Galaxy is sorta a big ground, but it's possible.

Why don't we distance ourselves from established canons and create a generic sci-fi space opera? Something where we're not bound by other continuities? Also, hopefully something bound by reality/laws of physics, for example, no independant faster-than-light travel? Carl Sagan's Contact suggested it would be done by creating black holes that could act like subway tunnels between two points with a central "station" in the center of the galaxy.

If we're going to do Star Wars, then why not try Post Yhuzang Vong War or pre Phantom Menace? After the Yhuzang Vong (sp?) War it's wide open, and pre Phantom Menace is also pretty open and could allow us to go through storylines involving the movies.

Powerplaying, I don't think it would be a problem if we restrict Jedi from being created/restrict them to being padawans (at least at the start.)

Just going back to Dinoman's Suggestion on my Mass Effect idea. Yes I do like that idea Dinoman. Because a lot of them games like Halo and Mass Effect all follow the exact same ideas Star Wars. Star Wars is how Halo began in the first place. Aliens vs Predator isn't too bad an idea. Considering like Star Wars, Mass Effect has a place where an alliance from multiple Alien Species (and humans included but are lower among the hierachy) is set. I only know a few of the alien species well in Mass Effect:

Turians-Alien species that stand somewhat taller than humans and are much faster. Also, they are mainly trained to use Assault Rifles and Sniper rifles. They also are masters of decryption.

Krogans-Big, husky and vicious. Krogans are a species that is almost extinct. Some of them are even Battlemasters. Krogans crave fighting. Some are even bounty hunters.

Geth-Non-Biotic Sentient lifeforms, they look similiar to the Turian but are smaller and their bodies are made of some metallic substance. Their faces are covered by a special light. They were once created for slave work but then turned out extremely hostile and so eliminated their creators. The Geth hunt and destroy any who stand in their path.

Dinoman's idea for an rpg is possible. You have several fractions and armies. Still you can always try like one large planet where all the armies/fractions meet resulting in a war for dominance.

That's true, and I've barely scratched the surface of Mass Effect at the moment. And plus I need to buy it to continue my progress in which I'm checking for it on Ebay. If you give me some time, let me pass the game (which may take quite a while to do) then I should be able to give you a lot more information. Also in Mass Effect you have a spaceship in which all the factions of Aliens meet which is the largest ship in the Alliance and not even I have seen it all yet. It's that massive. I've been through a lot of it but not fully.

Yet I think the one giant planet is better because the galaxy is big...like really big and the only thing I can think off is that Aliens ( xenomorphs) Dont exactly move from place to place unless they board ships. But im not exactly familar with mass effect but considering this all has to do with aliens and such, it seems that its possible.

Well I guess you could say it is now a Galaxy RPG. But yes the planet idea of yours Ravenger Lizard King is a good place for the homeworld of the Xenos then. And I'm still keeping the whole space station idea for where the factions meet.

I suppose we could cross AVP with Star Wars. I mean, E.T has been officialy crossed with Star Wars, so why not? But calling it the Star Wars RPG would let people know what its main base is, so I think calling it Star Wars RPG might be better.

thats a good idea. I know some of you guys would be xenomorphs anyways so its a good idea...predators go there to hunt. Jedi/Sith Forces scout the planet, hoping to turn in into a base prehaps. Prehaps Convanent ( sp ) forces pursue a marine ship into the planet maybe. Im just giving possible ideas.

Still I need the all-clear and I would indeed need at least one admin to watch over it when I'm not around. But I can invent a good plot otherwise. And another rule I would have is no adding any references to fantasy such as dragons or magic.

if you check back a page or two, you'll see the Star Wars RPG was suggested. it's owner seemed to stop talking about it after a while, so it's screeched to a hault. you're free to make it yourself. just make sure it doesn't draw the activity from the other RPGs...thst has some painful consequences...

Is this considered a thumbs up? Ok, let me start establishing some rules. If you decide to become a Jedi or Sith, you MUST be about toddler age and must start as Padawan. You CANNOT choose characters from the media (I.E. Yoda, Anakin), but you can choose any species found on Wookiepedia and be on any planet. As LE said, no magic or whatever, but force powers are allowed to respected types. Oh, and it must make 1 month to travel through each phase: Padawan, Jedi, Master. Same for Sith. And there are Dragons which exsist on Tattoine, if you go to Wookiepedia. Since this takes place in between the phantom menace and attack of the clones, you cannot choose anything that is beyond that point (I.E Clonetrooper,Storm Trooper) These rules may change, I'm just setting up basic premisis. I don't want pre Phantom Menace cause there's no Sith in that time period.

Well probably to stop it from going into turmoil. See how many times that happened with ISS? That happened a lot because of a number of reasons. And if I was to add Halo to it for starters it has to be set after Halo 3.
