Fraid Dm is right Zeph, in lotr Dragons weren't the uber gods that they are depicted as in other stories. In lotr dragons didn't have magic, only physical strength and speed. Main weapon besides fire being their tail. In a one on one fight with a Balrog they would be torn to shreds.
