The armour held fast, the spike scratching into the strong metal. Derek made a grunting chuckle and grabed onto the mandible and tore it out viciously, stabbing the creature with it in the head and kicking its dead corpse over, makeing it tumble down the temple. He jumped from his position, jogging into the forest and too his shuttle....

More Warriors appeared from the surrounding forest, screeching for the blood of their prey. They scuttled forward and slashed at Derek with their side mandibles upon getting within range.

Seeing their chance, the Imperial forces leaped on aboard of their gunship that had arrived...soon the they taken away, numerous troopers where lost as the tie phantoms covered the gunship as it raced out into the automosphere.

The gunship find itself landing the massive hanger of the Annihilator as the fleet remained cloaked.

"All right...you troopers report, as for me...Im heading for the bridge...were destroying that planet..." Revan replied as the troopers nodded as he ran off towards the bridge. After several moments, the Dark Lord of the Sith entered the bridge, eyes focused as the cloaked fleet looked towards the planet.

"Prepare for combat...were initiating base Delta Zero...do not reveal yourself until we fire..." Revan commanded as the relieved Admiral who had some stuff to say, shut up and allowed Revan to do what he must..

The lucky plasma shot by the plasma Bugs hit one of the cloaked Star Destroyers, ripping a hole clean through its hull. Its engines died, and the starship dipped towards the planet below.

Derek span around on his heel, catching the attacking arachnid in the head and blowing it away. He drew his pistol, shooting a few of them before backflipping up into the air and landing onto a branch. His legs flashed red and he leapt away with amazing agility, reaching his shuttle within moments. He quickly scrambled into the cockpit, activateing its trusters and systems and bursting into the air as quickly as he could. He was too hasty though, and the shuttles engine clipped a large tough tree, damageing it slightly as he progressed into the sky...

A swarm of Warriors gathered below the shuttle as it lifted off, screeching in frustration that their quarry had escaped.

However, the skies weren't very safe either. A squad of hoppers made a beeline for the departing shuttle. The planted themselves firmly on the ship's hull, their pointed legs putting small holes in the ship.

"Sir, somehow they hit one of our star destroyers!, their working on their emergancy power and should be able to get back online in just a few moments, still I doubt they are combat ready" A commander yelled from the bridge.

"All ships fire!" Revan commanded. "Wipe it out and all of its inhabitants" Revan continued as the 501st Armada uncloaked. The Imperial Class II star destroyers were stronger and more advanced, their firepower was greater but the true threat was the Annihilator..

The massive Super Star Destroyer focused is weapons towards the planet surface as the massive flagship unleashed a massive payload as thousands and thousands of heavy turbo lasers came from the 30 mile ship alone as it rained along the planet surface, the other Imperial Star Destroyers did the same..

Even before the Turbolaser volleys had hit the planet's surface, more Plasma volleys shot up towards the fleet, filling the vacuum with dozens of deadly blue energy blasts.

The stronger shields of the Imperial Class Destroyers Class 2's made them stronger...they would last longer and they were smart enough to spread themselves apart as well..

"More incoming fire" The Grand Admiral responded.

"They are just bugs...continue the bombardment...have the Super Lasers ready, do not withdraw power from anything unless I say otherwise, we must balance everything. If anything have the Star Destroyers focus more on shields...the Annihilator itself has more 100x more firepowers and shields then a Class II star destroyer..." Revan responded as the Annihilator itself unleashed its massive heavy turbo laser batteries.

The Plasma blasts continued unrelentingly. Most of them missed, as they were all randomly fired, but several hit their mark, depleting shields with one hit and ripping through hulls like tissue paper.

The shuttle rose through the atmosphere, the hoppers being burned off by the intense heat as it rose... The Ghost poped up as a red blip on his radar, on the other side of the planet. Martain was probably almost back already. He relaxed in the cockpit, letting the planets orbital path do the work for him...

"Damn...were decimating the very surface, Base Delta Zero is still in effect!" The Grand Admiral yelled.

"Have them focus on shields and and engine power, pull them out of the firing range while laying down supressing fire...the Super Lasers are now ready...fire them at will Admiral" Revan replied as a message was sent out as the Imperial Star Destroyers began to back off...

The Annihilator, facing the planet, given its name...the massive Super Star Destroyer then unleashed its most powerful weaponry as the main super laser down the middle was fired...the super laser firing towards the area on where the odd counter fire came from, the super laser would wipe out anything in its range while decimating and ripping the continent apart as the heavy turbo lasers continued its barrage..

Arachnids swarmed the planet below, ripping anything to pieces that was big enough. Hundreds, possibly thousands, of Warriors had already appeared on the planet, and Tankers and Plasma Bugs were helping with mopping up any undesirables. Hoppers filled the skies, making escape from the planet difficult in the wrong situations. Though many of the creatures were being burned from the heavy bombardment, there were still plenty more. The planet would have to be destroyed if they were going to kill every Arachnid down below.

The Annihilator focused on the main continents as the main 3 Super Laser weaponry focused on the continents, splitting and decimating them while ripping through the planet surface. The heavy batteries of the turbo lasers were unleashed as they rained down on the planet surface, the turbo lasers scarring the surface as the lasers continued swarmed down towards the planet surface, wipping out anything that was in the way..

The only true place that was "safe" was the temple itself as its high and built stucture allowed it too take numerous shots but it was not long till the roofs gave in and parts of the temple fell apart..

Revan watched as the Annihilator set the planet ablaze...he wanted to make sure that this planet would not be able to support life ever again, the very surface of the planet was decimated and forever scareed, the temple while heavily damaged, prehaps still had survivors..

The spores, as it turned out, had originated from Klendathu itself. However, the resident Plasma Bugs of the hostile planet had not only aimed towards that planet, but several other as well. A tiny group of about 100 or so had diverted straight to Maricas. Even that many Arachnids, despite all of them being Warriors, would be able to cause some considerable damage before being defeated.

The spores floated down past the Marican Flag ship, its Towering hulk along side the planets moon as an equal. As the spores dropped towards the planet, a red grid sparked into activatation over the entire planet, the Spores all being burned and evisreated as they passed through it. It was the last line of defence to stop invasion. A grid laser system manageing Any entrance or exit from Maricas. A satelite orbiting the planet rolled onto its side, its massive dish lighting up. Its many arms spread out, its cannon folding out. The central gun recoiled back as it released an energy burst out into space, the gamma ray powered blast surgeing away at slightly less than light speed towards the origin of the spores. It was an automated response. A warning shot of sorts...

OOC: I know. I was just planning on causing a bit of collateral damage that would make Maricas aware of the threat. Unless, of course, you want me to Zerg rush it...

The gamma blast slammed into the planet, but did little. it missed the Plasma Bugs and, seeing as they were the only creatures on the planet's surface, everything else as well. The only thing that resulted was a small crater. Of course, this did little to the Arachnids except draw their attention to this potentially dangerous planet. Maybe they'd like a bit more than that...

The scanners zoomed down towards to where the temple was...it was in ruins...any life signs alive who knows. Revan stood there, he knew they were people alive in there...

The planet surface was completely decimated, forever scarred. The planet pretty much was a complete waste, the upper crust was reduced to molten slag, the planet's soil was atomized. Anything living in the area was all pretty much dead..

Revan watched as the fleet loomed over the planet...they were preparing to leave but still the temple was massive, took a heavy beating but its unknown createtors were masters of technology and the temple still held despite its ruins..

The 501st Armada sent several probes to watch the surface any other life that survived has not yet been truely considered a threat at the moment, it was pretty much done. They had contained any possible infestation off any of the odd creatures they encountered or so they thought...Darth Revan put in the coordinates towards their base as they then flew off into hyperspace, the Star Destroyers following towards their main Space Stations..

The arrow rose gracefully into the sky, a green energy burst zipping away from behind it and slamming into the spire of the burning monestary. Alex would've laughed and cheered if he wasn't currently burried under various golden treasures in the mess hall. One of the mercs brought up one of the cases and opened it. Alex wasn't even bothered to stop the mercs bagging what they could grab. In the end, it would be makeing the company stronger as a whole. All 9 of them were laughing and three mercs already had a deck of cards out, gambleing away their spoils.

In the chamber that the xenos hive was in, several of the creatures had been killed, but among the survivors was the queen. They still had the captured arc trooper, who was pinned against a wall far form the one that had collapsed. the facehugger that had left it's egg was now crawling up his chest, almost there to his face.
