THough the missiles took out many Arachnids, it just turned the aim of the Plasma Bugs to the broadside cruisers, and another enormous volley of plasma was launched towards them. The blasts punched holes in the ships, viciously eviscerating many.

Meanwhile, the Arachnids still had an advantage on the ground, ignoring casualties and simply kept going, slowly spreading across the entirety of the planet. Workers had managed to dig numerous burrows already, where Warriors and Tankers ambushed enemies, or took cover when the fleet above fired down at them.

TIE Bombers moved in moving fast dropping their bombs into tankers covering what remaing broadside cruisers they had as they still fired despite what enemy fire they where recieving as tie fighters scarmbled to help them.

The plantary shield was set up as the remaning Imperial Forces found themselves here...here they would make their last stand. Surrounded and protected by turbo laser cannons, point laser cannons. TIE Fighters and missle launchers along with AT-AT's that where there in defense as troops took poistions protected by the shields and other defenses as they fired towards the swarm allowing stuff to leave yet not enter, tget advanced radar and systems allowed them to detect where they where coming and they were ready as the massive forstress was armed and ready. This would be the Imperial Forces last stand on the ground.

The Annihilator itself along with the fleet began to help those that where needed, establising dominance in space as the Annihilator began to unleash its heavy turbo laser batteries into the ground as well, wiping out massive ammounts of the bugs..

The Arachnids seemed to retreat from the shields, only to disappear underground. Tankers, Warriors, and Hoppers erupted from the earth... inside the shields. They massacred the soldiers inside, having an advantage in close quarters.

"Typical behavior...all wings follow me, were taking them out, troops are already falling back...damn it.." The captain of the tie bombers replied as the TIE Bombers dropped their bombs down the holes and into the tankers, the bombs creating massive explosions as they moved in in quick numbers. AT-AT"s within the area unleashed their turbo lasers and laser cannons as they rapidly fired as the troops fell back, blasters firing quickly as the blue bolts ripped into their hides.

"They are coming from underground, to get past the plantary shields...we've secured fleet dominance but we cant seem to hold any damn planets!" The Grand Admiral yelled.

"Admiral, we will not lose that planet not while the Annihilator is in orbit" Revan commanded, anger in his voice.

"This is Admiral Kaine, we've acessed the damage...they've taken heavy losses yet I just dont see how they can get through!" The Admiral replied.

"Admiral we are not meant for fighting some crazed beast, we fight organzied armies not some random infestation" Revan said as he added on after Kaine's comment.

The captured human in the xenomorph hive on k-25 suddenly began to feel a sharp pain in his chest. The one hour had passed and the chestburster inside of him was begiing to force it's way out. The drone that was nearby simply turned and watched, knowing perfectly well that another child of the queen was about to be born.

The Arachnid swarm relentlessly poured into the shields like a deadly tide. They constantly attacked in waves, wearing down the soldiers within. Plasma Bugs continued their attack, while Hoppers provided anti-air attacks and Tankers attacked any remaining vehicles.

[The Kingpin]

"Prepare the Light Speed Thrusters" yelled Kage in the control room once they were out of Vardia's atmosphere. "LST Ready! Awaiting your orders sir!" responded the Captain. "Activate Anti-Thrust Fields" said Aragren. with that order, the Captain sat down at his seat and hit a series of button on the keyboard before him, a faint bleep marking it had been activated. it was a special Energy Field that negated the extreme force exerted on a body upon activation of the thrusters and save the passengers from being killed either upon activation or deactivation. "ATF Activated, sir!" responded the Captain. "Activate LST" said Kage. the Captain hit a large black button on the Keyboard and an alarm went off, warning all passengers that the LST was about to be activated. the sound of more engines was heard as the primary space travel jets were activated, and specialised fuel was pumped into the immediately usable tank to change the concentration to a much more powerful, energy boosting formula. suddenly the Frigate jerked forward, shooting through space at above light speed, quickly leaving Vardia behind...


less than 25 minutes later, the LST was deactivated, due to Kage's warning that there could be Pirates or other threats around the area they were entering, as it had frequently been on his travels. sure enough, when the radar systems were activated, along with the other detection systems, and the windshield reopened, two craft were detected in relatively close proximity to them. less than 20 kilometers away, the tail glow of the engines still visible from this distance. "Should we investigate, sir?" said the captain. "Yes" said Kage. "Activate in depth scanners" said the Captain, one of his subordinates moving to one of the many keyboards and entering the commands. the scanners activated and the large screen behind Kage and Aragren was turned on. they turned away from the windshield and looked at the screen. "Koult...that's the one at the front...the one in pursuit is...a Marican ship if i remember the design correctly..." said Kage. "Move in closer...but avoid getting within 10 kilometers of them...we don't want any nasty surprises...make sure all weapon systems are live but concealed". the Captain nodded and began making preparations...

The broadside cruisers had arrived, dropping tanker bugs with ease with their assualt concussion missles. Tie fighters took out their hoppers while tankers were suddenly barraged from long range turbo lasers from the Annihilator...taking full powered and accurate shots, blowing holes through as most of the infantry fell back towards more secured areas laying down blaster fire and using anti vechicle weaponry such as rocket launchers..

"Damn it...how can there be soo many!" The Grand Admiral yelled, his hand slammed into the consule in front of him.

"Relax admiral...there is not that many left..." Revan replied as the Annihialtor took its accurate shots as damaged vessels where being repaired as several groups of tie fighters poured into the surface, bombarding any enemies with their laser cannons.

A few missiles poped out of the top of the pursueing ship. They ignighted and zipped away towards the koult. They would easily be shot down but it kept their enemy having to concentrate on them aswell as trying to find the best escape route... The Marican captain wanted to catch them now, while they were still inspace. If they went down onto a planet there was a large chance of the Koult escapeing. Sure enough, they were heading towards a rocky planet with a ring of ash and asteriods around it... The marican captain smiled... There was a few mining corporations at work there... According the computer it was Kp-96. Miners were private, and not directly linked with the military, but knew much better than to be uncoperative....

More Hoppers latched onto the TIE Fighters, dragging them out of the sky, where they were swiftly destroyed. Plasma Bug volleys flew towards the Annihilator, intent on reducing it to scrap.

Any remaning enemy ground forces were being ripped apart as troops advanded foward, throwing gernades, firing their rocket launchers and unleashed clip after clip of blaster fire. Any of the Hoppers were then gunned down from the gunships that had scrambled using their laser cannons to gun them down and their beam turrents to slash through them..

With no need for the engines at the moment, The annihilator withdrew power from the engines into the offensive and defensive systems, strengthing the shields as the volly's did little to the massive flagship. The Annihilator then fired several more accurate rounds of turbo laser fire into the plasma bugs as this semi orbital bombardment crashed down upon them...blasting the bugs apart.

The Plasma Bugs continued their bombardment. While it was less harsh by this point, it still devastated the fleet. Even if they lost, the Imperials wouldn't exactly have had an good victory...

The Arachnids, meanwhile, were fighting constantly, never retreating, always advancing, despite heavy casualties.

Ground to Ground proton torpedos were unleashed as the torpedos slammed into the larger targets while others blew up groups with ease with massive explosions as the troopers stood at range, bomarding any remaning forces with their blaster fire and their other weapons...anything that dared to try and advance would be fired on at once..

AT-AT's advanced towards the plasma as their turbo lasers slammed into the ends of the plasma bugs creating a larger explosion as any other TIE fighters and bombers covered for them..the battle was reaching its end..

Revan shook his head slightly, his arms folded...victory seemed certain but the losses were too heavy...The Dark Lord of the Sith would begin increasing its defenses...this should never happen again.

The remaining Arachnids went on a kamikaze attack, swarming over the Imperial ground troops and ripping as many to pieces as possible. The Tankers mainly focused on the the AT-ATs, seeing as they were the biggest threat.

As the warriors approached blaster firing from the rapid firing riffles of the troopers usually brought them quickly, blasting of limbs and punching blaster bolts the size of baseballs into the body of the creatures. As the tankers fired at them, their laser cannons and turbo lasers fired towards its skull, sometimes blowing it off...

The Tankers and Plasma Bugs were slowly being eliminated. They and the Hoppers continued fighting, while the Arachnid Warriors retreated back into the burrows to recuperate. They had a Queen to make more Arachnids, and a Brain Bug to lead them, so they didn't see it as necessary to fight to the death just yet.

Suddenly out came from space, one of the weaker Super Lasers was unleashed from the Annihilator as the green beam slammed down towards the area where the other bugs where heading...taking out numerous creatures that where in their way...Revan had sensed that this battle was not over...he needed to make abosuolutly sure they where all dead. He was going to send beam after beam still he had sensed they where all dead..

The remaning infantry and other units continued to lay down more firing taking out more bugs, more and more..

The pain that the human was feeling became worse as the chestburster began to get closer and closer to emerging from him. It did not cease it's activites except for a brief rest after continued hits to the osbticales in it's path. It wouldn't be long now before the young xenomorph emerged.

The Arachnids were now safe, deep underground and out of range of any weapon short of a bomb fired directly into their tunnels.

The chestburster hit the stentrum of it's host a final time and it's head emerged, a scream of pain being heard from the human before it did so. the young xenomorph crawled out of the dead host and slithered over to the drone, who picked it up gently and began to carry it to the queen's chamber. The newly born hive member should see it's mother now that it had emerged.
