Space E-war

Where good and bad RPGs and E-wars go to die.

Kepe knew then his fears had been a reality. The Arachnids were amassing towards Sanghelios. And he knew that the Supreme Commander had seen them as well. He saw several of his Elites at the controls look up and watch space as it filled with strange rocks, although they knew they were pods carrying the Arachnids, one Elite roared in anger. Luckily they jumped into Slipspace rupture as quickly as possible...

Within a moment of notice they had arrived on orbit with Sanghelios, and luckily the Arachnids had not arrived yet. Scarth went over the comm. "This is Supreme Commander Scarth speaking to all of the Sangheilian Fleet. We have a threat approaching. A creature that prepares to attempt in wiping us out. They come in the thousands, I demand that all fleets prepare for battle. The Arachnids are about to come into orbit. We don't know how or why but they are coming. Have the ground troops ready! We are at war!" He said over the comm channels to all of the fleet. Millions of ships began to warp into slipspace rupture, preparing to battle the threat. Sangheilios had a population of well over 8 Billion (confirmed in the Bestiarum) and over 6 Billion Elites were in the military. The rest of that population was made up of workers and templars and priests. Not only that but in some fleets were the Hunters, those who had allianced with them in the Great Schism had proved very helpful as shock troopers and were like walking tanks. The Grunts who had assisted the Sangheili in the past were given freedom along with those who were enemies and wanted freedom, they were sent back to their homeplanets. The Hunters chose to remain with most of the Sangheili, some did want to return however.

Kepe watched as ships orbited all over Sanghelios and he just knew alarm bells were ringing. If the Arachnids were going to destroy Sanghelios or dominate it, they would be tragically and horrifically mistaken. Kepe sighed, this would be quite amusing...

The white mountain dragon saw a crushtooth salamander in the lake that it was drinking from, but ignored it. The salamanders were too small to do any harm to the large dragons while the smaller ones were careful when drinking from a lake. The wyverns could also reach large sizes and some rivaled the largest dragons in size.

The swarm arrived, but they didn't keep going. They stopped, hovering like a massive wall. Several, particularly massive spores appeared, but they weren't spores. Monstrous legs folded out from underneath them, and glowing red eyes flashed on their fronts. The Space Bugs then opened fire, large red beams of energy lancing through space. Each one slammed into a Sangheili ship, penetrating the shield and ripping a massive hole in each, before the ships fell through the atmosphere, fire and smoke billowing from their shattered hulls. As they fired again, the spores went into motion, using the distraction to make it safely planetside. Then all hell broke loose. Thousands upon thousands of Arachnids Warriors, Tankers, Hoppers, Tiger Bugs, and Plasma Bugs attacked, swarming across the planet without remorse and cutting down any resistance that got in their way. The Plasma Bugs fired from the surface up to the ships below, trapping the Sangheili fleet in a deadly crossfire.

Quickly the Sangheili retaliated, throwing all their Plasma Torpoedoes at the spores, each one destroying them and those in front. Quickly the ships launched Seraph Fighters that all flew into formations and started attack rounds on every spore and Arachnid within range with their heavy plasma cannons and then torpedoes combined with the plasma to do more powerful damage. Though the ships were being hit by the hundreds, they still outnumbered the Arachnids by far more and the Sangheili would not stop until the enemies were destroyed. Kepe began to order for more cannon fire on the main spores, destroying each one and then concentrating on the smaller ones. Well over 4 Billion ships in orbit against half a million Arachnids, still, the Arachnids were no slouches and they were clearly carving through the ships within seconds. This was going to proove very difficult...

Ground forces were being deployed from the fleets above to assist as Elites of all sorts took to battle. Even the citizens of Sanghelios knew a lot to do with military and so many of those were wielding plasma pistols and plasma rifles. The Arachnids were fighting hard but that would not stop the hard-determined Sangheili from exterminating the bugs. In some areas, Shade Turrets were set up and able to destroy the Arachnids as they landed. Portable Plasma Turrets were being placed and mounted whereas some of the Generals were carrying them in two hands and lugging them along before opening fire with their subordinates assisting them. Phantoms flew with Banshees in line with them and doing bomb runs on the Arachnids, their Fuel Rods taking out groups of them. The Arachnids that could fly were easily burned on their wings by the Banshees Plasma Cannons. Phantoms deployed troops off before going into stealth and then reappearing seconds later whilst they dealt plasma fire of their own. Special Ops teams lead by their Commanders were able to slip in and out of Camouflage and decapitate Arachnid heads a few seconds later followed up with Plasma fire out of no where. Ghosts and Wraiths were being deployed to combat the threat, Spectres included were armed with Minor and SpecOps squads and battalions, escorting ground forces. Most of the battle was taking place across the hillsides and wetlands. However, despite their best efforts, the Arachnids were one step ahead of them. Easily catching onto camouflage and were able to hit the Wraiths faster than them, the Plasma Bugs easily shooting the Phantoms out of the Sky along with Banshees. The battle was proving to be now much worse. Civilians were being evacuated and brought to the fleet...Kepe knew this was not going well...He quickly went on the comm to Scarth.
"Supreme commander, we cannot win this battle...Even if we do outnumber them, they are faster, more cunning....they will take over our planet one way or another. We need to call back the troops, call all the troops back and save those we can save. The Council and others will find safety in the meantime in the special sanctums deep underground. We need to find a new place to settle..." He said...

All was silent on Skav... a rat scurried along the dusty ground, the wind whistleing with a ghostly chill... Suddenly a small cloud of dust burst up from the ground, two hand prints infront of small wells in the ground. A red line flashed momentarily in mid air...

Martain looked up into the sky and then around him, information pouring into his hud. He said "Alexa, Martain here. Down on and on the move. patch me through to Tommy and Night raid once they make dust fall..." The soilder suddenly burst into a sprint, dusty plants and rocks zooming past him as he sped through the desert....

Another swarm of around half a million Arachnid spores arrived, supporting the first wave both in space and on the ground. Many of the Banshees were dismantled and fell to the ground in flaming wrecks by the Hoppers, while Warriors easily tracked down Stealth Elites, tracking them mostly by scent instead of sight. Not even the toughest of Elite shields could stand against an Arachnid Warrior's mandibles, and many of the Sangheili were killed easily. Tankers attacked in small groups, overwhelming Sangheili squads and incinerating them with minimal casualties. Tiger Bugs provided infantry support, popping out of the ground and using their durable carapaces to keep them alive long enough to drag down several Sangheili.

The Space Bugs were holding their own, as were the Plasma Bugs, able to eliminate ship after ship, even as the fleet's plasma weapons took hundreds of them out.

Ahead of Martain was nothing but dusty plain. However, scattered here and there were man-sized holes in the ground. Entrances...

Martain finally reached the top of the Mountain, it was rather small, but still a mountain. His feet crunched through the dust, his stealth off, replaced with desert chameleon camoflauge. He reached onto his pack and pulled off a spear like staff. He twirled it around and then remmed it into the ground, the rock shattering. He fited some small tools to the staff and then stood up, clicking a button on the top of it. He said into his mic "Planetary scan underway..." Alexa's voices crackled in response "Nice one, Night raid touched down just a minute ago. says in a field of some this freaky green stuff. Warp stone or something." Martain looked around, responding "Yeah... there is alot of that around here... Its supposed to be the Skavens primary power source, looks unstable aswell..." Alexa said "Right... Nightraid is up, patching you through..." A deep husky voice replaced hers "Martain, that you?" Martain smirked inside his helmet, saying "Yup, so what have you got?" A small chuckleing laugh replied and the man said "Straight to buisness... Skaven... mostly tunnel runners... dont stay on the surface much. Core scans show various extremely deep bases around the globe, includeing one around where you touched down. To the east, thats your north actually, there is a concentration of activity... Lots of radiation... Estimates from Climetrix suggest it as the origin of the planetary fire from earlier... Tommy has marked what ever it was as a high priority target. Keep in mind that this is sketchy stuff... Accordingly I'm 60 meters below the surface of the planet. Doesn't look that way from here... Will update you as the situation proceeds... Setting up the probes as we speak." Martain replied gratefully "Ok thanks, planetary scan is underway so... should have some data comeing in soon. Sounds like the graboids could be handy here" Night raid agreed "Read my mind, Tommy is carrying some strain canisters on him.... along with a sample of Anthrosectus...." Anthrosectus.... Probably the most dangerous biologicaly created virus in the galaxy...

Near the base of the mountain, two lines of Warpstone, in an organized fashion, led to a large hole in the ground. A single Skaven, armed with a rifle of some kind, walked out of the hole using the steadily sloping tunnel that it led to. The Clanrat looked around, walking off to another, nearby hole. He stopped suddenly and sniffed the air, his whiskered snout twitching. Turning around, he barely saw Martain at the top of the mountain. Screeching in his own language, the Skaven aimed his rifle and fired, a steady stream of Warpstone "bullets" spewing out of it and directly at Martain...

The ground forces however were not willing to give up. Quite soon though, the Elites started turning the tide back in their favour. Scarabs were launched, all over Sanghelios and were wiping out the Plasma Bugs. Hunters were being dropped onto the field as well as more Ultras and Generals, some even armed with Fuel Rod Cannons. The Hunters Assault Cannons (in case some of you don't know is a Fuel Rod that fires like a beam) were burning through the Arachnids and blasting them out of their way. Each Hunter went in pairs and though some Arachnids got up close, the Hunter would easily ram them with their metallic sheilds before blasting them away. The Hunters also attacked in pairs and so whilst one ran in for melee kills, the other would fire its assault cannon. This proving hugely effective....

The Scarabs and Hunters, recognized as a major threat, were immediately set upon by vast numbers of Warriors and Tankers. The Tankers attacked from below, tipping the massive Scarabs over as they erupted from the ground and incinerating any infantry that survived. The Warriors attacked from all directions, their vast numbers pulling down Hunters one by one and ripping them to pieces, their razor-sharp mandibles making quick work of the exposed flesh of their enemies. Tiger Bugs sprang from the ground and ambushed the high-ranked Elites, dragging them underground and either killing them or wounding them into immobility, allowing one of several Brain Bugs hiding under the planet's surface to feed on the commanders' brains.

The white mountain dragon took one last mouthful of water before turning and begining to wlak away form the lake. It had seen humans before, knowing that humans seemed to have an interest in the dragons and wyverns here and in a few instances, knew that humans attempted to captured some of the creatures here. HOwever, it had been 2 years since a human had been sighted on the planet and not even a trace of one of their "soace ships" had been seen in the sky.

Quickly, Wraith mortars followed up to combat the burrowing Arachnids as the huge blue balls of plasma flew into the holes and destroyed them, forcing them to cave in and the Arachnids buried alive with no hope of escaping. Mhpe leapt up high and brought her Energy Sword down on top of the skull of an Arachnid, cutting straight through. She roared in a battle cry as she and her Elites exterminated the Arachnids from the cities with the help of other Field Masters and Commanders...

Wraiths were hardly a problem. The incredible burrowing skills of the Arachnids allowed them to not just break free but simply dig their way to the Covenant tanks and destroy them, Tankers coming up from underneath them and knocking them over, before crushing them with one of its massive feet.

The soldiers on k-25 knew that the xenomorphs were widespread and infested multiple planets, but they were paticularly common here and on their homeworld, the planet known as shadow mountain. THey had seen files on the biology of xneomorphs during training and learned at least some of the creatures.

The field general still within Kepe's flagship heard the sounds of the battle...the guards and troopers around heard it. This was the perfect time...he could have prehaps arrange an alliance between both Imperial and Elite. Then again...would he himself make it out alive...

A small shuttle entered the vast hanger of the flagship...troopers lined up, shoulder to shoulder, displaying abosulute disiplince. The shuttle landed, a platform extending out...Grand Admiral Piett was bowing, on his knee close to the platform was he awaited. The troopers were in two sections, on the left, then right...leaving a good aisle down the middle.

There was nothing but silence as 6 Black Armored, ARC Troopers...these elite troopers lined up, the personal guard as they lined up. 3 on each side, facing one another as the Dark Lord walked out of the platform.

There was silence except Revan's foots hitting the floor as he looked around.

"Welcome My Lord...as you can see the Annihilator is close and ready for combat..." Piett said.

"Good...I've been told by a Captain of the news but sometimes intrigues means...something has spotted the Elites. A vast battle currently is going on..." Revan replied.

"Yes, as the battle is going on between those bugs and the Elites...the probe is far from reached and undectectable..." Piett responding.

"Gather what data is needed and terminate it..." Revan said. The Dark Lord of the Sith then continued to walk down the aisle as Piett got up, nodding as he began to follow. The ARC Troopers followed along as the troopers remained standing still as status in the shiny hanger as Revan headed for the bridge..

Martain saw the rat like soilder and calmly leaned out of the bullets path, raiseing his rifle to his head, his targeting system leaping into action. He squeezed the trigger and a single bullet fired out, the Skaven soilder being thrown back, the bullet bursting out the back of its head in a cloud of blood and flopping into the ground, dead. Martain calmly flicked a latch at the side of the gun, span a dial on its clip and then fired four bullets into the rim of the hole that the Skaven had left out of, the bullets remained lodged in the rock, both serveing the purpose of sensors and of traps. From Gas to explosives.

His full stealth mode reactivated, going into full combat mode....

The black dragon that had been feeding upon the crush tooth salamander had now eaten much of the corpse and what remained would be enough for a medium sized wyvern. The black dragon took to the air and began o fly back towards it's terriotry. There were some four legged wyverns here that rarley flew unless they needed to and they hunted similair to how the big cats did.

However right as the Tankers emerged, more Scarabs came to engage them. Escorted by Banshees and Ghosts which were able to hover over the Arachnids and boost into them to knock them over. The Ghosts twin plasma cannon were able to fire rapidly and completely immobilize the Arachnids, making it impossible for them to escape and so succumbed to a swift death from the burns from the plasma...

"Long range scanners have put up something my Lord..." The Grand Admiral slowly said.

Revan who was in usual spot back at the bridge, arms folded, turned his head towards Piett and narrowed his eyes.

"What is it..." He asked.

"Dont worry, its one of ours back from the blockaide...a transmission just came in. Admiral Kaine is requesting a move..." Piett responded.

"Still...Kaine set him back mainly because hd did not prehaps like this paticular officer...anyways I'll read his request later...until then, continue to fix up my ship.."Revan commanded.

Piett nodded...The Annihilator was almost ready to be fully combat opertation, along with its upgrades and improvements..

There were naturally born predqueens alive and 3 of themon k-25 had always been living on the planet. The other two on k-25 had been created by human scientists before being released onto the planet to see how they would adapt to a new enviorment. The two geneticly created predqueens had adapted very well to the planet and they had their own hives and children.

The xeno empress had fallen into a light doze, dreaming about events in her life that had occured in the past. A pair of warriors were crawling on the ceiling of the hive and moved with such ease on the ceiling that it was as though the ceiling acted like a second ground for them.
