((Daniel added to my characters, see page 52.))
Not far away from Ireland's coast, is a helicopter carrier named USS Sandstorm, covered with flak cannons and small Patriot missile systems from each side, expect deck, where is take-off and landing zone.
Inside the carrier itself, life goes on. Though the hallways are not crowded today, they WILL be, soon. Very intelligent robots swivel across parts warehouse, going with elevator to higher levels. Automatized robotic arms pick up boxes and lower them for the four-wheeled carriers that speed to mechanics that need additional parts for repairing damaged helicopters. Ammunations storage is just right of this massive place. It also uses same principle.
Charlie woke up from bunk, when he heard femine, blazing sound of announcing siren: "Daniel Blue and Charlie Remingston, please report in mission briefing. Thank you for your cooperation." He then said to Daniel: "Wake up, Daniel! We have to get into briefing quarters!"
Daniel then rose up and put on his clothes. The walkway wasn't full, but few people were walking around with files. They seemed to be from archives, but that's just normal of the ship's history. Finally arriving to the spacious briefing quarters, there is just a few, very good pilots here, listening to the commander.
"Oh, hi Daniel and Charlie, we've got somewhat important mission here. Good that you both are early, today.", said Roger, an AH-1Z Viper pilot. Daniel and Charlie knew him.
"So, what's the matter, commander? Dragon trouble, yet again?", Daniel asked.
"Yes, but this time, it appears to be much more serious than others.", the commander replied into his question.
Daniel scratched his chin. "If it is, stop tensing me, and tell me, what it's called and what it does.", he questioned again.
"This dragon species name is shadow dragon. As far we know about them, they have very disturbing and frightening appearance, and spike shooting out from their chin. They have also ability of interfering radio signals, and because dragons should know human language, too, this could give out the most vital informations, such as positions. To avoid such, we shall limit our radio communications near them. We are also sure, that radar jamming wouldn't work. These dragons will harden battles even more, so, i think we could just give out small information, but not vital through radio frequencies, such as chats with pilots.", he answered yet again with monotonic speech.
"Ireland, the beautiful flower springing from England, is now ruined along with other parts of Europe by dragons. It's gonna take LOOOOOOOOONG if we have these dragons on battlefield. By the way, when we will be send to aid DDASF?", Daniel questioning yet again.
"Time tells, my friend. Time tells, when things start going worse. But, i'm sure we are needed. Now, you should go visit hangar, to see your very own "Biting Freddy" that you have always used."
Everybody left from the briefing quarters, and so did Daniel and Charlie. They started walking towards vertical hangar where all helicopters are stored and brought to deck by a vertical elevator, and of course, repaired in there. A mechanic was blowing with mouth last dusts from the RAH-66 Comanche "Biting Freddy", when Daniel and Charlie arrived.
"Hello, Daniel and Charlie, your RAH-66 Comanche has been cleared and maintained. It is now flight-ready.", the mechanic greets.
"Yeah yeah, whatever, we want just to the deck along with our helicopter. Can we use this aircraft elevator to bring it up?", Daniel asks.
"Of course, why not? Go on.", the mechanic replies.
Daniel presses from the control panel "Up" button, which causes the massive, oversized elevator to rise up to deck, slowly, along with the helicopter. Daniel and Charlie walk to bow of the helicopter carrier, and get a beautiful view into lands of Ireland. Now, all we need is waiting... for action.
