"I guess so," said Adeline with uncertainty. "He was a good man...once though." She stopped her pacing and carefully went to sit down in James' lap again. "By the way where's Rainbow?"

"Probably stealing someone's hat" said James with a chuckle as he wrapped an arm around Adeline, smiling. mere seconds after he said it, Rainbow's squawks could be heard as he flew past the window to the Captain's cabin, closely followed by one of the crew, trying to get his wide brimmed hat back. James sighed. "I know that bird TOO well"....

Adeline watched with amusement in her eyes as Rainbow flew past with a flailing crewman following him. "That bird," she said with a giggle. "He's a unique animal. Do you know what? I fancy on getting a pet. Maybe...a cat? Yeah, a cute little kitten. What do you think?"

James chuckled. "A cat at sea? that sounds a bit...risky, don't you think?" he said as the squawks of his Scarlet Macaw were heard again, Rainbow flying past the window again with the crw member hot on his tail...

"Hm now that I think about it...it is a little dangerous with Rainbow, but I still want a cat." Adeline smiled at the thought of a feline. "They're friendly and affectionate...or wait maybe a puppy, some kind of a dog."

James chuckled. "A dog would be handy...could be taught to swim, a good companion, loyal and protective...as long as you get a good sized one, i think it's a brilliant idea" said James with a grin...

Adeline smiled. "Alright, a dog then. Plus, Rainbow can't push it around. Oh but can we get it as a puppy first? Puppies are so cute!"

"If you like, sure. but it's your responsibility to keep it from gonig off the edge and into the sea" said James with a chuckle. a knock came at the door to the quarters and Nathan's voice called "Any course, Captain?". "Tortuga! we need some repairs and restocking" responded James. "Yes Cap'n" came the voice on the other side, before a series of footsteps were heard and soon after, Raphael's deep, booming voice as he ordered the crew back to their stations...

"I'll make sure it doesn't do that, I promise," said Adeline before there was a knock on the door. She recognized Nathan's voice, and also recognized Raphael's when he walked down and started to boom away at the crew. "Tortuga?" Adeline raised her eyebrow.

"A good stop on our way to Isla Muelle. we can get the Reaper repaired and her figurehead replaced with something more...fitting" said James as he explained his reasons for heading there. "Then to Isla Muelle to get some chocolate powder and rum from our old friend there"...

Adeline licked her lips at the thought of chocolate powder. "I can't wait to taste that chocolate milk again," she exclaimed. "It tasted so good and sweet."

James grinned, nodding, before letting Adeline up. "Now, how's about we get our gear cleaned up before a random pirate decides to try and board?" he said as he drew his numerous swords and lay them on the table, slight hints of blood on it where rain didn't hit...

"It be the key to livin forever Jack...what say ye?" said Barbossa as he ate an apple, Jack the Monkey scurrying around on deck stealing various possessions of value and showcasing them. "I think it's a great idea...I'm Captain" said Jack, starting with a grin before suddenly turning serious when he realised his agreement may have been a deliberate trick to make him agree with Barbossa and therefore, by extension, agree he was to be Captain and Jack First Mate. "Aw will ye shut up about Captaincy? we've already established...I'M Captain...These be my charts, this be MY ship, and those be my crew. in fact...if ye like, we could go out there and ASK them whose the better Captain to be sailin' the Pearl". Jack stared at him for a moment, before saying "And AS Captain you thereby take full responsibility over any damage done to my property, amongs which is the Ship and the Rum" said Jack, blowing the conversation right off of the topic of captaincy, the two continuing their bickering well into the voyage...

John stood at the port at sea thinking. Prehaps he was just getting lazy anyways he was getting to used on staying on Port Royal. No sign of his target from a few days ago. Before it used to be a battle every single day, somebody knew or someone just came because they wanted more. The Admiral sighed and shook his head as he just went back at looking out into the horizion as if he was looking for some type of answer or response..

Adeline got up and took out her sword and pistol. Her sword still had some blood remaining at the tip and close to the handle. She scrunched up her nose and set the weapons down on the table. "They need a cleaning badly," she said. "That was an exciting battle."

A few days had passed and the repairs were going great. We might just be able to get out of here by moring tomorrow, Storm thought as she observed her men again painting white. She sighed heavily then started to walk down the beach. Cosimo was observing the loading docks and he smiled proudly as he saw Storm walking on the beach toward him. "Need some company?" he called and waved to her. "No," she said as she passed the docks. "But I-!" "NO!" Storm's voice and face looked stern and troubled, and Cosimo knew it wasn't wise to be around her when she was troubled...

James nodded. "I'm just glad Jones is dead" said James as he cleaned the blood off his blade, before getting to sharpening it, completely ignoring the fact he was still somewhat wet from the storm...

When Storm was far enough away from the docks and town she sat at the water's edge letting it lap against her bare feet. She sighed and looked out to sea. It was beautiful, a clear sky, fair winds, the waves song on the rocks, beautiful. She recalled a poem that she had revised into a song and as she looked out at the vast ocean the words came clear and strong.

My name is Calypso.
I have lived alone, I live on an island.
And I waken to the dawn.
A long time ago, I watched him struggle with the sea.
I knew that he was drowning and I brought him into me.
Now today, come morning light.
He sails away after one last night.
I let him go...

Adeline chuckled. "I bet you are, I am too." She watched as James was sharpening his sword, admiring the way he was doing it. She also noticed that he was still wet from the battle. "Don't you feel a little cold?"

Suddenly the waves were getting feverish and they lapped faster and harder on Storm's feet as she sang, she took no notice.

My name is Calypso.
My garden overflows, thick, and wild, and hidden.
Is the sweetness there that grows,
my hair it blows long.
As I sing into the wind, I tell of nights
where I could taste the salt on his skin.
Salt of the waves.
And of tears.
And though he pulled away,
I kept him here for years.
I let him go.

"A bit, yeah" said James with a shrug as he kept sharpening, as he contemplated the thought of changing and then continuing or just keeping on. eventually, the former won out, and he put his blade aside, saying "you know what? yes, i am feeling rather cold", before heading for his room below the Quarters...
